Dr. Rebecca Hughes graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Hughes selected to perform her General Practice Residency with the Veterans Administration Dental Clinic in Oklahoma City, where she served our Oklahoma Veterans.
This residency provided her with advanced training in all the specialties of dentistry including oral surgery, anesthesia, and treatment of medically compromised patients. Dr. Hughes then chose to further continue to serve her community by accepting a teaching position as Clinical Assistant Professor with her alma mater, the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
While in dental school, Dr. Mirabal received the Michael Bakowski Anatomical Sciences Award which was awarded to the dental student with the highest GPA in anatomical sciences, and the Dental Laboratory Excellence Award which was awarded to one senior student for achievements in dentistry and laboratory work.
He attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Wichita State University where he continued his studies in implant placement, endodontics, surgical procedures, and more complex restorative treatment. He takes great pride in his work and knows that its the details that make the difference.
Melissa graduated from Community Care College in 2014 with her Dental Assisting Certification. Melissa and her husband, Shayne, have been together since 2007. They have four beautiful children, Jayden, Cooper, Journey, and Jordynn. When Melissa is not busy with her children, their sports, or laundry, she loves being outdoors, hunting, camping, grilling, or just sitting out by the fire. She enjoys getting to work with her sister, Shelby, everyday!
Whitney graduated from Tulsa Community College Dental Hygiene Program ready to hit the ground working! She is passionate about making every patients dental experience comfortable and developing a lasting relationship with her patients. Whitney and her husband, Cody, just welcomed their first child in September of 2018. They enjoy going to Lake Tenkiller, travelling, and being outdoors.
Shelby graduated from Community Care College in 2014 with her Dental Assisting Permit. She loves taking care of patients and enjoys orthodontics. Shelby has three children, Legend, Keizor and Hadeleigh. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, and going shopping.
Priscilla has been married to her husband for Gerald for 37 years. She and Gerald have three children, C. Shaun, Timothy, and Alexander. Priscilla works most weekends, covering six states, as a Zumba Education Specialist teaching new participants to become Zumba instructors. Do you know a Zumba instructor Priscilla has probably trained them. She is proud to be working at Midtown Smiles with her son, Dr. C. Shaun Mirabal, and daughter Dr. Rebecca Hughes. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
