Amber joined our team in August 2021. She recently moved to Mobile from Charleston, South Carolina and we are very blessed to have her with us. She is a great asset to our practice. She is married to Timmy and has 2 beautiful children Cayden and Carissa.
Heather-Assistant/Hygienist Heather has been with our team since 2015. She received her Dental Hygiene license in 2018.She is married to Joseph. She has a little girl named Harper Kate. She enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Nikki-Hygienist Nikki just joined our team in September 2019. She has been a hygienist in the area for many years and we are excited to have her on board. She received her Alabama Hygiene Licenses in June 1989. Nikki is married and has 2 sons, Grant and Kyle. In her spare time she enjoys running, biking and occasionally you will catch her doing a triathlon.
Debbie-Hygienist Debbie is a hygienist and has been with our team since August 2005. She received her Alabama Hygiene license in June 1995. She is a pastor's wife and mother of three. She enjoys hunting and fishing on her time off.
Peyton-Hygienist Peyton is one of our hygienist. She has been with our team since April 2012. She received her Alabama Hygiene license from UAB in June 1994. She has experience in Oral Surgery assisting, dental assisting and soft tissue management. Peyton is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with her family.
Brianne joined our team in August 2018. She will be the one to greet you and help you with questions and insurance needs. She has been a great asset to the office. She received her Hygiene licenses from UAB in June 2021. Brianne enjoys spending time with family and friends when she isn't shopping!
Mitzi-Office Manager/ Hygienist Mitzi is the Office Manger for Midtown Family Dental. She has been with Midtown Family Dental since September 1992. She also is a Dental Hygienist; she received her Dental Hygiene license from UAB in 1991. She is the founder and president of the Mobile Area Dental Hygienist Association. She has 2 daughters Lynzi and Karlie. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, the beach, kayaking, reading and watching football.

Dr Trey is the absolute best! The staff at Midtown Family Dental are amazing too! I was looking for a new dentist when mine retired, and tried a few in town. I had one tell me I needed 4 root canals and 7 fillings, when I didn't even have a tooth ache! I saw Dr Trey and he assured me I didn't need any of that work. He kept my best interest at hand.

From the moment you walk through the door there's an atmosphere of peace and professionalism. They explain everything they're doing and treat you like a person, not just a patient. I went in for a tooth ache and they got me in fairly quickly. He told me I had a tooth abcess and I need to get it out. He asked me about trying to get it out that day and I agreed bc I just wanted it out bc it was alot of pain and it was starting to swell my face. So he began to try to numb me and after about 5 tries he begins to start to try to pull it. I kept feeling the pain so he tried numbing again and still could feel it. So I finally told him that I would just wait to get it pulled after I take a round of antibiotics. anyways I went home and started antibiotics and taking ibuprofen and Tylenol and the pain got worse and worse and so did the swelling. I was up all night bc I couldn't sleep bc the pain was so bad. The next morning the swelling is so bad its in my eye. The pain and discomfort had me in tears. I called the dentist back and asked if they could give me something for pain. I didn't even ask for anything for pain the day I was in there. He tells me that he can only suggest I come in and suck just fight through the pain and have him pull it. I asked him if it was dangerous to pull an abscess and he said no we just won't be able to numb it at all. So if u don't want to be on pain, u will just have to come do that. I was very disappointed. I was not happy with how he treated me and how he just suggested I do something that could possibly cause more damage. I have had multiple dentist tell me they would not touch it while it was swollen like this. I am in enough pain and if u are not going to offer me any comfort in pain then I don't need you to do my dental work. If you can just tell me to toughen up and let u pull a tooth that has me in all this pain and pull it with nothing to numb it or anything. You are not an educated dentist. I will not be bacl

I finally found a great Dentist. DR Trey Waltman is so caring and takes his time never felt the needle and I have no pain now if you're looking for a Dentist Trey Waltman is the one and the staff is so friendly

Absolutely awesome. Here's why. 1. They care. Someone who cares if you're in pain is rather important in dentistry. If it hurts, they are going to take the time to do it with as little pain as possible. No rushing through things trying to work before the numbness kicks in or giving shots to fast, causing more pain. 2. Experienced. Nothing better than knowing your dentist has done this before. Seen this problem, and knows what to do. 3. Professional. Nice office, plenty of parking, clean and well kept lot. The inside is the same. Spotless operatory. Courteous staff. You couldn't ask for better.
