As a first-generation dentist, Dr. Nerestant was born in Cap Haitien, Haiti, the second-largest city in Haiti. He was raised in a country setting and grew up generally roaming the rural countryside and spending time on his relatives farms. At 14, he moved to New York to rejoin his parents, who had migrated to the US years earlier. Although he was an only child, he grew up in the company of many cousins, an experience that strengthened his appreciation for his large family.
After finishing High School in the top 5% of his class of over 400 students, Dr. Nerestant left the nest to pursue his dream. Soon after, the first of his two sisters, Esther, arrived. Three years later, his mother gave birth to his second sister, Danielle. He id the proud uncle of Josette, Adele, and Jacob Jr.
Dr. Nerestant came to Tampa to complete his tour with the US Air Force. Shortly after his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force, Dr. Nerestant came to Lakeland in 2001. He has been active over the years with the LVIM (Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine). For the past 13 years (except for 2020, due to COVID-19), he opens his Private Practice for two days a year to offer FREE dental care to residents of his Lakeland Community. In recognition of his community service, he was awarded in October 2018, The Lakeland City Maker Award, a distinction reserved for a select few influencers in the community.
Dr. Nerestants an avid world Traveler and has married his love of traveling and penchant for Philanthropic endeavors thru various overseas Medical/Dental Mission Trips to regions like Cameroon, Jamaica, his native Haiti, and Trinidad and Tobago.
2021 marks a personal milestone birthday. As Dr. Nerestant turns 50 this year, he set out to take his fitness and nutrition to the next level. He fulfilled a bucket list with a quick starter recomposition plan and competed as a Male Fitness Model at the WBFF (World Beauty Fitness and Fashion) in Las Vegas.

Been a patient since 2003, and the service has always been A+. Had my mid year cleaning with Denise who was extremely informative and knowledgeable. She made sure that I was comfortable at all times.

Just had my first visit. It was an emergency as I am new to Lakeland. Everyone was so super kind and caring. Can't comment on prices as I was only there to get my bad tooth looked at but I will be back to try out a cleaning, etc. I am deathly afraid of dentists, even the technicians but hopefully I can add to this review later that my fears were unfounded. I am willing to go back and I rarely say that. Thank you, Midtown Dental.

After checking online I found both dentists accepted my dental plan. I went in for a teeth cleaning that my insurance (humana,) said was paid in full under the plan,( as the claims verified) but Midtown dental billed me an additional $40 after the insurance paid out. So after going back and forth between Humana and Midtown dental I was told the teeth cleaning is done by Midtown dental which is NOT in the plan with my insurance. So evidently the dentists and Midtown dental are not the same entities. Guess I'll get my teeth cleaned elsewhere.

I had an awesome experience with my visits for my tooth extraction and Bridge Work. Dr. Toussaint was very professional explaining everything and the process through it all. Also her assistant Isabelle was very nice and the both of them together was a great Team. I highly recommend Them Both as well as Midtown Dental.

I'd like to preface this review by stating that I'm not afraid of the dentist but besides this place doing really good work. The staff are efficient, sociable and have a good taste in music, e.g. 80's-90's. Who doesnt love that area of music? Seriously though, they do a really good job and numb you up so well you could just about take a nap during your procedure. Dr. Toussaint and Natalie I'll be coming back.^__^

Face diapers required. It's September of 2022. Mask efficacy has been debunked, yet they are still requiring them. A quasi-medical clinic should know better. They turned me away at the door and I won't be going back.

If you are OK with forced mask mandates then this place it will be good for you. I do not know how their dental practices is, but as a dental office they require you to wear a mask the whole time. Just think everybody should be aware

I saw Dr. Daphne, and she completely made me feel comfortable. I was boohoo crying in her chair because I was upset about how I have let one bad experience make me neglect my teeth, and she made me feel unjudged and in a safe space. Thank you and I will be back soon.

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had at a dentist office Daphne Toussaint, D.M.D. , Isabelle, Lucero, and Sierra where absolutely wonderful to deal with They're all extremely nice and informative I had to have 2 extractions today and literally didn't feel a thing I will definitely be back and if you need a dentist near Lakeland FL I definitely recommend this facility.

I Just had a tooth extraction at midtown. I express to Dr. Toussaint that I was nervous about the extraction due to an unpleasant experience at another dentist office. Dr. Toussaint and Mrs. Kerby really went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable. The whole experience was just wonderful. Mrs. Kerby & Dr. Toussaint was so patient with me. I'm so happy I switch to midtown and I will be referring all my family and friends. Hands down the best experience I ever had with a dental office.

Several bad experiences, The main one was that I paid $700 to be sedated for a procedure using an IV. I have had iv sedation before so I know what I shouldn't feel. I kid you not when I say I was wide awake and felt no sedation during a very painful procedure. The dentist saw I was in pain and kept going anyways. I suspect someone in the office replaced my sedation bag with saline solution, considering how the dentist ignored my obvious pain my bets are on him. I also have had issues with booking an appointment a month ahead and paying to reserve that spot and having them change my appointment time just before the procedure. If you get a procedure that needs sedation opt for the laughing gas so they don't water it down or replace it with something else.

We know BETZI, She works there and helps us to set up appointment real quick with the doctor in less than a few hours. There is no charge for your exam and Xray first time. Thank you to BETZI and the staff.

Had a terrific teeth cleaning session today with dental hygienist Laura. She is very gentle, efficient, and punctual. This is the second time I have had an apt with her. The delivery fully met my expectations on both occasions. Best of wishes to her and Midtown Dental !

I've had a bad experience at a different dental office once getting teeth extracted and a fill in that honestly left me feeling uneasy and anxious to ever wanna go through something like that again until I decided to try Midtown Dental. I walked in feeling my anxiety and fears through the roof so much so I almost rescheduled just to walk out. Dr. Daphne Toussaint and Kerby took care of me soooo well during the procedure. They took the time to find out why I was afraid and helped me get through it!! Miss Kerby even held my hand through it (that should let you know how bad my past experience was) I've never felt soo at ease. They did an AMAZING Job assisting me. Sooo glad I found this place.
