Dr. Philip J. Latteier is excited to be the new owner of Midnight Sun Dental and to lead our Anchorage dental group. Dr. Latteier grew up in Orange County California. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree, then completed his DDS at the University of Southern California. After graduation he kept with the family tradition of military service and served in the US Army Dental Core.

Upon leaving active duty he moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where he built his private practice. After 10 years in Colorado, and having grown the dental group to four partners in multiple locations, Dr. Latteier had the opportunity to come to Midnight Sun Dentaland a new adventure!

Kirstie joined Midnight Sun Dentalin 2015 as our patient care coordinator. We can all agree insurance plans are hard to understand, so she spends her time coordinating with your insurance company to get the very most out of your dental plan, and to make sure you know exactly what your insurance plans on covering before care is rendered.

She does her best to make sure you dont end up with any surprise bills due to non-covered services. In her personal life she enjoys spending time with her 4 dogs and she will gladly talk about them to anyone who will listen. Her husband and her purchased their first home in 2016 and are proud to call Alaska home.

Aaryn graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2010 and made her home, here in Alaska, that same year. She sees her profession as a way to help people learn to care about their teeth and contribute to their overall health.

Celia and her two kids Hana (6) and Ari (4) love living here in Alaska. She enjoys being outside as much as she can and loves hiking and being out on the water in the summers, and skiing in the winters. She is looking forward to teaching her kids how to ski this winter. She has been practicing hygiene for 11 years and loves getting to know her patients and prides herself in delivering gentle yet thorough care.

Dr. Latteier has extensive experience in the field of dentistry. He served in the US Army Dental Core before opening his first private practice. After his time in the Army, Dr. Latteier spent a decade serving the dental needs of the community of Grand Junction, CO, before relocating to Anchorage, AK.

Using a small intraoral camera, Dr. Latteier will take precise 3-D images of your teeth. An added benefit of digital impressions is that these images can be stored and referred to in the future to monitor the success of your treatment.

The 3-D digital impressions will be sent to the CEREC software, allowing Dr. Latteier to design a restoration that will fit perfectly with your surrounding teeth to give your smile a natural appearance.

Once he is happy with your new virtual crown, Dr. Latteier will send the design to our in-office computer-controlled milling machine. Fabricating a crown from a porcelain blank takes anywhere from four to 20 minutes.

Once both you and our dentist are happy with the results, he will permanently affix your new crown with dental cement. Thanks to our CEREC system, you will leave our office with a fully restored smile.
