Dr. Sharon Freeland Harris is a dentist at Midlothian Dental Center in Midlothian, Va. She has been practicing in Midlothian, Va., since 1998 after earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree that same year from the University of Pittsburgh.

In Dr. Harriss personal life, she enjoys time with family and friends. When shes not working, you will find her outdoors and playing volleyball, swimming, and running. She believes that each individual has something special about them that we can all work together to reach our full potential.

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by how we react to what happens; not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalysta spark that creates extraordinary results. Wade Boggs

Dr. Tart became a dentist because of her love for science and working with her hands. As a young woman, she looked up to her dentist and was encouraged to pursue her interest in dentistry. Since then, she never looked back. Dr. Tart loves getting to know each of her patients, and her hope for each one is that they are involved and informed when it comes to their oral healthcare. For her, an informed and empowered patient is the ultimate goal.

Dr. Tart attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and relocated to Richmond where she enjoys trying new local restaurants with her husband Bobby and her German Shepherd, Quinn. Dr. Tart is now accepting patients at Midlothian Dental Center at Bon Air.

Dr. Harrison, DNAP, MSN, CRNA, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who typically cares for pediatric or special needs patients, as well as patients who require extensive dental care undertaken in one visit.

She meets with patients who have requested moderate sedation prior to their procedure and helps alleviate patients fears and anxiety by administering medications to keep them comfortable throughout their procedure. From Dr. Harrisons view, she has the best career in nursing and loves supporting her patients. Ever since shadowing an anesthesiologist as a high school student in Asheville, NC, Dr. Harrison knew she would become a nurse anesthetist.

Dr. Harrison started her nursing career at Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC, and went on to pursue her diploma of Nurse Anesthesia at the Medical College of Virginia. She stayed in Richmond, working as a staff CRNA for several anesthesia groups. In 2000, she became an independent contractor and owner of LCH Anesthesia Services, where she specialized in office-based anesthesia services and ultimately earned her doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia Practice at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Health Professions.

Dr. Harrison is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Federal Health Care Executives Institute. She has also served in many roles for the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists, including President and Government Relations Chair, among others.
