We opened our doors in the late 1960s as a one-doctor practice. A lot has changed since then we now offer oral surgery, emergency dental surgery, pediatric dentistry and more but our vision of serving the local community of Midfield, Alabama and the Birmingham area in the best way possible is the same as it always has been for over 40 years.

At Midfield Dental, were committed to providing quality dental services at prices below those of our competition. We work hard to make our dental services as convenient as possible, offering extended hours, after-work hours during the week, and Saturday hours. We also have an on-site denture lab to make same-day repairs to denture and partials. We try to make the dental process as streamlined as possible, keeping an emergency dentist available and making sure our doctors can provide sedation for fillings, crowns and root canals so our patients dont have to go off-site to visit separate specialists.

Was pleased with service....Gabby, the hygienist who took car of me...is amazing, hope the boss knows she is a keeper...as always midfield dental top notch.... recommend with out a dought.....

My husband gave them his ins info- they told him they were a preferred dentist on his plan. Imagine our surprise when we were charged almost $400 extra because they ARENT a preferred dentist on our plan. Although the rate they quoted was for the preferred dentist. Their excuse was the girl didn't work there any more. Go some where else. ZERO STARS

1,500 readers! Wow. I'm glad the word's getting out, even though employees from MDC are low-grading me. GREAT. I was hit by a car when I was in the military and was told I'd need a lot of dental work when I was older. Although I've been to Midfield Dental Clinic hundreds of times in the past, spent thousands upon thousands of dollars there, I couldn't even speak with someone in billing, or who could talk me through it, even though they did say they had files on me. I've never been treated this way by *any* dental clinic (or any other professional organization), and there have been many. The receptionist hatefully (not exaggerating) threw up a wall, disabling me from speaking with anyone of expertise. What I needed most of all was reassurance and to feel confident about going in to see them (and spending thousands of dollars more). She was rude, curt, and so I didn't leave a message. The way she made me feel has definitely changed my thoughts about the clinic. I've had a lot of dental surgery, too, I'm an extremely anxious patient, and Midfield dentists always worked with me on that, and I've been so appreciative. Right up until today. I've referred a lot of people to them, including my roommate who has even seen them recently (also spending thousands). No mas. Wow. I've seen the people in the waiting rooms, so I never really felt 'encouraged' to be there. But the dentists always pulled through, so I was ready to see them again. Now, they couldn't pay me to go there. Way to go, receptionist. I bet you won't have that job for very long, and if you do, I'll make sure everyone I can reach knows about your treatment of patients. Bet.

It is so unprofessional when you spend more time with the dental assistant than you do with the actual dentist. Only to discover you were given the wrong information and you lose money in the process paying for procedures you didnt need in the first place. This was very costly for nothing and couldn't get a refund. STAY AWAY, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!

I had an amazing experience at Midfield dental office. The front desk staff was very friendly, courteous and professional! I had an appt to get complete custom dentures with Dr Nichols, and I am extremely happy with the New Dentures, and I received a great price .. Darielle the dental assistant was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns which made my visit very pleasant..Thanks! Midfield Dental you have a new customer for life..

I had a great experience at Midfield Dental! My dentist was Dr Rose and he was awesome!! So professional, pleasant, gentle, and friendly! I had a chipped tooth and needed some work done over all, the way they got me in and out to how good Dr. Rose was I wish I would've did this along time ago. I was nervous but the staff at Midfield Dental made my experience worthwhile! I am Thankful!

My first experience at Midfield Dental and I have to say it was good with the exception of the amount of time I had to wait. I called and they said to be there between 1-4. They apologized for my wait but said they had been busy. Dr Rose and his assistant were very nice and professional. I would use them again.

The doctor I speak with the first time was nice and I wish he was the one who did my filling because the one who did it was rushing as it seems like he had a few other people to do the same time as me and it was done in October of 2020 and now there's a hole in my top filling so exact time I eat food get into it and the bottom one is now hurting me for about 2 weeks now am am about to go back to them because I never see people get filling and within a year they started having problems. It was my very first time getting filling as a 37 years old woman so that mean I been looking after my prised possessions all my life. Am so dissatisfied.

Had no problem with the front desk employees. Dr. Reynolds was very professional & often checked on me during my procedure to assure that I was ok & comfortable. Dr. Reynolds you rock in my book.

Midfield Dental Center is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Do NOT come to this place! You NEVER get to speak with the oral surgeon! They give out incorrect appointment information, incorrect surgery dates, and take ZERO accountability for their mishaps. The first time I called to inquire about getting my wisdom teeth extracted, I spoke with a young lady and she confirmed on THREE separate occasions during the call that they would do the consult and the extraction in the SAME day with NO appointment. I had family take time off from work to transport me back and forth, and I took time off of work to be there. They tell me during the consult that they DON'T do surgery on the same day and the surgeon wasn't even working that week! So, I payed for my x-rays and I stayed calm. They called me on June 22 to schedule the actual surgery and we settled on July 14th for the date. They tell me that they will call me closer to the surgery date to give me a specific time for when they would do the surgery so I went ahead and paid the majority of the surgery cost that day (June 22). I called to finish paying for the surgery on July 12th. I also called them a couple times in the days leading up to July 14 and they tell me someone will call me to give me a time to be there, just be patient. July 13th comes (today), and I don't hear from them. So I call again and they tell me to wait 30 minutes because they just got back from lunch. An hour and 45 minutes go past and still no call, so I call again. This time, they tell me the surgeon ISN'T working this week and that my surgery is scheduled for next week on the 21st! There was no communication about pushing the date back another week! I have already arranged for more time off work and had my father do the same just to transport me and now they saying it's scheduled for the next week! I requested a refund and I will now be finding a different dental office to have this service done. TERRIBLE PLACE OF BUSINESS! 0/10 would NOT recommend to ANYONE!

Hadn't been here in 2 years due to previous bad dental work. Now that I've let Mcadory dental fix everything they messed up, i tried to give them a 5th chance today. I can in around 1230 only for impressions. I am just leaving at 4:10pm. I came in for one thing and the doctor, who never came in the room tried to upsell to get something more than expensive. After I declined and told the hygienist I only wanted what I came for he made sure to charge me more than what I was charged last time. This place is a circus. Front the front desk to the back . Everyone was complaining about the wait, even those with appointments. The hygienist was nice as she was just the middle man in the entire scam. What's even more weird is how they were calling up everyone after waiting forever to embarrassingly discuss old bills that people had no idea about. They called me up about $12. I'm a financial consultant at a large financial institution and wouldn't dare let a bill for $12 just linger knowing it could affect my credit. But this is the same dentist that I came to years ago that always bragged on how good my insurance was...and begged for me to have wisdom teeth taken out that never gave me problems. It's sad that I was up charged for an Essex ...$300 just because I'm having my procedure done elsewhere. And reading some of these comments while waiting..... this place has really taken a turn!!!

I have gone here for years and never had any problems. There was a question about my bill once and the billing person sat down with me in a private office and explained how they came to the amount I owed. Dr. Reynolds could not be nicer to me. When I first met him I told him that I am a baby and that I wasn't ashamed to say so. He is always patient. I have had an assistant I haven't cared for but I speak up about it right away and the problem is fixed right away. You can trust this dental office.

Save your time & your money! This is the worst dental experience I've ever had. Just be prepared to wait a hour to almost 2 hours even if you have an appointment.. yes if you have an appointment you'll still be waiting like you're a "walk in" the front desk ladies don't remember scheduling your appointment so when you get there they ask " who are you, did you have an appointment". The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Save your time & money!!

As an individual who tends to be "Dental-phobic," I am amazed at how everyone at Midfield Dental is consistently compassionate, understanding and professional. The ladies in the front office who attend to scheduling and billing always take the time to explain what my insurance pays and what my out-of-pocket responsibility is for my care plan. They have always been pleasant and accommodating in scheduling or re-scheduling. The dental assistant and hygiene team members are nothing short of awesome! And Dr. Reynolds has an amazing sense of humor and most important very gentle. I would highly recommend receiving health services from this team of professionals.
