As with all medical fields, the dental health team at Middletown Valley Dentistry understands that your dental health cannot be treated without referencing your dental health history. Each patient is evaluated with the understanding that they are a unique individual with specialized needs and not simply a name on a chart.
Dr Dan is a proud 1982 graduate of Loma Linda School of Dentistry in Loma Linda California. He has been in practice for nearly 33 years and has enjoyed the thousands of patients he has been honored to treat. Over the years Dr Dan has adopted many new and exciting technologies to make his patients visits more pleasant and less invasive.
He was one of the first to adopt hard tissue lasers into his practice and went on to do research and write FDA papers for approval of several oral surgery procedures used throughout the world. He is a founding member of the World Clinical Laser Institute and achieved the highest level of proficiency (Mastership Level) in that organization. He became a WCLI examiner and has traveled the world administering tests to dentist as far away as Taipei and Dubai. He has lectured on techniques and incorporation of lasers into the dental practice around the world.
In 2001 Dr Dan introduced 3D Cone Beam Radiography to Maryland, installing the first Cone Beam Xray in the state. He became the clinical director for PreXion 3D a Southern California company and trains and lectures nationally and internationally about the benefits of 3D radiology.
He has written many articles on CBCT in Clinical journals. Currently he is the director of education for Champions Dental Implants in North and South America. Champions uses a Minimally Invasive Technique for the placement of implants and was founded in Germany 8 years ago and has experienced rapid growth over the years.
Most recently, Dr Dan has studied and is incorporating Dental Sleep Medicine into the practice. Sleep Apnea is one of the fasted growing and most under diagnosed problems facing Americans. He is happy to bring this to the Middletown area.
For those of you who wish you had the perfect smile, Dr Dan is also a certified Invisalign provider, he has been involved with orthodontics for over 23 years and will change your smile to the one you always wanted.

Dr. Carter knew early in her life that she wanted to be a dentist. After receiving her undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, she went on to attend the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry.After dental school, Dr. Carter advanced her training in general dentistry at a general practice residency program at Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA. During her time here, she was also able to provide treatment to medically and dentally complex patients in a hospital setting.
Outside of the office, Dr. Carter enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about traveling and exploring new places, enjoys indoor cycling and is always cheering on the Maryland Terrapins

These people won't schedule my appointment because the lady doesn't like how I spoke to her, I'm coughing up blood and just got out of the er with a root from my wisdom tooth causing an abscess. I'm coughing mass blood and the lady hung up on me and refuses to schedule my appointment because she doesn't like that one freaking out because I'm coughing blood and just came from the emergency room. If they don't schedule my appointment it's illegal and I will be suing along with making sure that the lady gets fired. I'm having a medical regency coughing blood

Had to have my wisdom teeth taken out, and the doctors here made it 100% comfortable and safe. They had done such a good job my teeth stopped hurting after only 24 hours, highly recommend.

I am very new to the area so first checked with my insurance to verify participating provider and am so grateful that your practice accepts my insurance! I had an old crown fall off day before yesterday, called to see if and when I could be seen and you all scheduled me immediately for early the following day! Everyone from the front office staff, the tech assistants and Dr. Dan were so gracious, kind and informative, not to mention patient with me! The procedure was performed proficiently as well as efficiently! Loved all the "modern" technology and the end result - crown looks and feels great! Oh, the office is immaculate and the location is perfect, right across the street from my housing development! Thank you all! Will recommend you guys to everyone I know!!!!
