Though born and raised in Wisconsin, Dr. Shalane Hundt completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She returned to this great state to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry. She always strives to create a comfortable and caring environment for her patients where together, they can create personalized dental solutions that give the patient back the confidence to show off their smile. Dr. Hundt is a member of the American Dental Association and the Wisconsin Dental Association. As a new Madison area resident, she loves exploring the beautiful sites and locations. She is also an avid dancer, cyclist, and runner and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin Dr. Sydney Johnson completed her undergraduate education at Upper Iowa University and went on to receive her doctorate in dentistry from Marquette University in 2020.
Throughout her training, Dr. Johnson has developed a strong treatment philosophy of patient-centered care and understands that everyones dental needs are unique. Dr. Johnson strives to help patients find confidence in their oral health and aims to make every patient feel at ease while providing a positive experience for all ages.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her husband, and can usually be found at the gym or trying out new recipes at home. Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time outdoors and is excited to explore new places in the Madison area!
Sami Kawas earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. His post-graduate work following dental school included NYU Langone Hospitals (Advanced Education in General Dentistry), Alabama Implant Education training, and completion of the Comprehensive Implant Residency Program. Dr. Kawas is an experienced dentist with clinical expertise in dental surgery, implants, and IV sedation.
Beyond dentistry, he loves swimming, hiking, and traveling with his wife. He also enjoys reading medical and surgical journals to stay on the leading edge of the latest advancements in modern medical and dental health.

I really don't know how to explain the respect I have for the team at Middleton Family Dental. I came to them in the late 80's and my teeth and gums were a mess. Dr. Lubet and Susan K. really saved me from an early life of wearing dentures. Since then, Dr. Mann and Susan have really not only helped me with my teeth, but also detected a precancerous spot, which I got taken care of before it became a problem. They do all this in a friendly, professional (and painless) manner. Their "chair side" manner makes what can be an unpleasant experience into something something that you don't dread. Big thumbs up for Susan and Dr. Mann! I had an emergency today with a broken tooth right before a weekend trip out of state for a wedding. Dr. Hunt was able to fit me in with less than an hour notice. She painlessly refilled my tooth and I was back at my house an hour and 15mins later. Big thumbs up!

Very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. However I had been there for a second visit in 5 weeks to determine if I needed a root canal, only to find I needed to go an endodontist for the procedure. It was a surprise.

Robyn has done a phenomenal job with my teeth over the years. She is an excellent hygienist. Very thorough and painless. My teeth always look great after seeing her! Dr. Hundt is very warm and caring, very professional. My appointments at Middleton Family Dental have been very easy and pleasant. I highly recommend Middleton Family Dental.
