Thomas J. Bonsack DDS is a 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at West Jersey Health Systems. Dr. Bonsack practiced for 25 years, starting from the ground up in Abingdon, Md. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Harford-Cecil Dental Society. His experience includes starting, managing, buying and selling dental practices. While in practice, he was able to run an efficient office, keeping overhead between 35 and 40% which enabled him to retire at the age of 51. He misses his patients and staff but not the daily grind of running a successful dental office.Today, as the founder of MidAtlantic Dental Transitions, he enjoys helping buyers and sellers with their practice transitions. His friendly nature combined with his business training and background allows him to expedite the multifaceted process. Because he represents either buyers or sellers, he has a clear understanding of the pertinent issues involved with a practice sale. His expertise includes representing dentists that are selling to a DSO.Whether its working with a stressed seller or a nervous young buyer, Dr. Bonsack enjoys helping his clients reach their goals. While he doesnt mind being called a Maryland dental broker by his local peers, he is determined to change the negative connotation associated with Dental Broker by providing prompt, professional, thorough personal service to fellow dentists while keeping his fees reasonable.
