The dentist was great, but they claimed me that my procedure was not covered by my insurance. It took a bunch of work for me to figure out it was actually covered by my insurance and that they overcharged me by a lot. Would not recommend.

I've been trying to locate a great dentist that accepts my insurance. I came cross this office as it popped up as an ad so I gave them a call. The receptionist answered the phone as if she did not know where she worked or she was unsure of her job ( God help her). I asked her if she was aware of the insurances they accept she said something I did not hear and then said but let me transfer you to a more experienced representative...Is this who you really have answering your phone lines. Not to mention I was left on hold for five minutes and never got my question answered. Maybe she forgot how to transfer or click back over.

I was in the office today to get work doneThe doctor stopped right in the middle of my work Because I would not agree too a treatment that would have been a extra $200 . I would not recommend this dentist to a dog because all they would do is try to take all the money.

My first appointment was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone looking for friendly, helpful , easy going . There were some issues with my billing and they quickly cleared them up for me. Dr Nancy was so flexible in terms of some of my requests

I have in the past had a good experiences here, although a couple of discouraging things have happened this year, this Dr.s ability to problem solve and remedy situations, is so far proving to be top notch, I hope all ends well. * Omigoodness ...... Yes, all was well. Once again, the staff was stellar, and the Doctor was great! *update 12-2618. Fact- I've been a patient here for a bit over 13 years now. Dr. Afar is wonderful. He's been a blessing once again! I had a crown come off on the day of our trip to see family, my husband called to see if Dr. Afar could possibly squeeze me in. Everyone was really kind and helpful. I went thinking I was screwing up his schedule. (I felt really bad) ...and nobody treated me like that at all. He made me feel safe, and comfortable as usual. I really do enjoy him as a person too. I'm very grateful that the people in this office go above and beyond for their patients (and their sometimes " extra needy" patients too ) *. Great news, my 11 year old gets her braces off in a month! Her Orthodontist was brilliant to have put them in before her baby teeth were all out; it was amazing how quickly the permanent teeth fit into the exact place they needed to be. (so that she would never need extractions of her adult teeth) I highly recommend getting braces young, I wasn't a total believer, but he was right!! Now she doesn't have to wear braces as a teenager; which honestly being a teenager has enough issues to deal with! ;) #1 I've been seeing Dr. Afar for almost a decade, his staff, fellow dentists and assistants are outstanding. Prior to seeing him I had horror story dental experiences, and he was so understanding and helpful as he redid a few bad root canals, and was always concerned for my well being and took my fear seriously. My teeth have always caused me problems in adulthood, because as a child growing up in Alaska I had no dental care. He's seen me through a lot of dental emergencies, and always tried to take my financial situation into consideration. He's kind, professional and genuinely likable. My husband and 2 kids have all been patients here at Mid-Wilshire dental care for years now, and will continue to be patients for years to come. I've also been seeing Dr. Nancy Saghian, for my general dentistry for over a year, and she's just wonderful. I'd like to add that the orthodontist is my 11 year old daughters doctor-and we really, really, like him a lot, he's very thorough, kind, and professional as well.

I've been going here for at least 7 years . It's akways been nice and gets better every experience. Current and new doctors nurses , and from the front desk ,all awesome . This last experience was the best, had a new dentist and assistant,the best ! Super Minimal pain,really just the knumbing shot I requested lol After that ,nothing . Precise fast clean clean straight white teeth,I'm lit ! Competitive pricing as well! I'm good love enjoy

The doctor's wife who supposedly work as Interim Office Manager is rude and has no understanding of how to interact with people of diverse background. They bill for each tooth evaluation several times. This place is not worthy due. After each visit, the send emails after emails begging more than asking for good review.

I have been Dr. Afar's patient for many years. He has implanted two tooth for me and the first one was twenty five years ago. It's still perfectly fine and I'll always trust his judgment and his advice. He is a friend and true healer. Thank you

I travel down from Alaska to have my dental work done by Dr Afar. I always get really great service and quality work from Mid-Wilshire dental. I am treated like a VIP even though I'm not and can tell that the whole office really care. Gabby even went and got me a pillow! Thank you very much and great work! Captain Mike

Being a practitioner myself, I am very sceptical as to which Dentist I visit. This was by far the best dental experience I have ever had. I highly recommend this Dental Office and Dr A was very detailed in his work which is essential to a successful dental visit. Thank you!

My daughter and I have been to many dental offices. This one was by far the best. You feel welcomed with many smiles and greetings. The staff are nice and very professional. As new patients, all the paperwork was quick and easy. Dr. Afar was very accommodating to our every needs, he was efficient and overall painless. If you're looking for a new place to get them pearly whites checked, I definitely recommend this office.
