Dr. Allen is very passionate about his pursuit of excellence when it comes to dentistry. He believes that quality care is the result of extensive education, experience, and meticulous creativity balanced with a genuine, compassionate chairside manner.
Dr. Allen was born and raised in Coldwater, Michigan. As an undergraduate, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University. A 2005 graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Dr. Allen finished in the top 5 of his class. While in dental school, he received the Detroit District Dental Society Award for excellence in patient care.
Dr. Allen believes that continued education is the key to a successful practice. He devotes many hours to reading publications and attending educational courses on the newest procedures, therapies and techniques for the benefits of his patients. He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Michigan Dental Association (MDA), and the Saginaw Valley District Dental Society. He is also currently studying at the world-renowned Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.
To give back to his local community, Dr. Allen and his team provide free dental screenings at the Gladwin Health and Family Fun Day through Mid Michigan Community Action, and the office donates to Stockings for Soldiers overseas. We also do live presentations each year at local schools in coordination with Dental Awareness Month.
Dr. Allen and his wife, Molly, moved to Gladwin, Michigan in the summer of 2005. Together they enjoy spending time with their daughter, Remy, their son, Koen ; living on the lake; and traveling with their families. Dr. Allen is avid in all sports, but especially bowling and golf. He is a member of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).

As a team, we work together to provide quality gentle dentistry to patients of all ages. We promise to speak candidly with you about possible treatments, any risks and associated costs, and how each treatment option can address your individual needs as a patient.
Our staff is highly skilled, uniquely trained and spends numerous hours each year participating in continuing education (CE) classes to ensure we are up-to-date on the latest technology and trends dentistry has to offer.
We have a very large staff, many of whom have been with the practice for 10+ years, with a multitude of personalities that are able to cater to each and every patient's individual needs. This allows us to treat patients as young as 1 year old up to 90+ years old, making their experiences enjoyable!
Laura has worked at MMDA for over 16 years. She loves meeting new people and spending time with her 2 kids, husband and friends. She enjoys watching her children play sports along with walking and riding her bike.
Angie is a graduate of Ferris Stat University and she brings 24 years of dental hygiene experience to our team. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 22 years and has two wonderful children. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing and watching her children play sports.
Merissa started as a high school field study student in 2013. She is now a full time dental assistant. Merissa graduated from Central Michigan University and her goal is to go to dental school. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her, husband, dog basil, friends and family.

Been coming here twice a year for many years. Never a complaint. Dr. Allen is the BEST! And the staff too. I had Angie for the hygienist just the other day and she was awesome. Good job on my smiling face.

I had some teeth removed so I had an impression done while I still had my teeth in. When they were removed I only waited a few days to get my partial back and it fit exact! No little adjustments or anything. It fit spot on!!! I was so ! Now I smile bigger then ever! Got to give them kudos for being on the ball! Now, I'm going back for my lower to get fixed since they did such an awesome job on the upper! Happy smiling people!

Dr. Allan tried his best to save my tooth, but we decided to pull it out. Was all numb, so I went for it. I think I have some stubborn teeth like my mom. Was hard to pull, but he got it. No heavy lifting for the day, hurrah! Nap time.

I grew up afraid of and avoided going to the dentist at all cost. My teeth paid for it. Dr Allen changed all that. He and his staff love what they do. Very professional and knowledgeable. They want to help. They do excellent work. Very understanding. Very patient. Nice people.

Dr. Allen and the entire staff are kind, compassionate and professional. They care about your life as well as your dental health. They have all handled the changes in the world with thoughtfulness, keeping their patients as well as themselves safe. I am very comfortable at Mid Michigan Dental and feel they are second to none in their skills.
