Dr. Annmarie Brennan joined Mid Jersey Endodontic Group in 1981. Before joining the group she received her DDS from New York University College of Dentistry and did a general practice dental residency at University Hospital in Newark. She went on to complete her Endodontic training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dr. Maya Prabhu attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she continued her postgraduate education in the field of Endodontics. She became board certified in 2003 and was inducted into the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Raj Lall graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1996 and pursued postdoctoral education at Columbia University, New York where he received his Certificate of Specialty in Endodontics. In 1998, he joined the Mid Jersey Endodontic Group where he continues
Dr. John Panzarino received his Bachelors degree from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ and worked on a masters degree in Molecular Biology at Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ. He received his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr. Carmen Cicalese received his Bachelors degree from Rutgers University, in New Brunswick where he graduated with highest honors. He then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey on full academic scholarship. After receiving his degree he completed a one year general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Annika Lucarelli received her D.D.S. from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and remained in New York City to complete a General Practice Residency and Endodontics Residency at the Manhattan VA Hospital. Dr. Lucarelli is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics
Dr. Rotondi is a child of dentistry. Her mother is a general dentist and actively practices in Ontario, Canada, where Dr. Rotondi was born. Olivia obtained her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, QC, and went on to study dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania where she won the Siegel Memorial Award in Endodontics. She then completed her postgraduate training in endodontics at Columbia University
Kodak 9000 Cone Beam technology provides a digital tomographic 3D view of the patients area of concern. A traditional x-ray is two-dimensional. With CBCT technology,the doctor is able to get a full 360 view of the tooth and all surrounding areas. The 3D Cone Beam scanner provides nearly limitless views of the teeth while using less radiation than traditional medical CT technology. This new technology is fast, simple and painless, providing many wonderful benefits for patients.
In our office, we use a low radiation digital x-ray system which greatly reduces the amount of radiation needed as compared to film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen allow the patient to better understand and follow treatment. By eliminating film, developer and chemical waste, digital-rays are better for both the patient and the environment.
Our office proudly uses surgical microscopes for all endodontic procedures performed in our office, providing our patients the most advanced technology available. The use of specialized operating microscopes means that the doctor is able to get a detailed look at the anatomy of the root canalduring all phases of treatment. The additional magnification and illumination allow them to work with great precision and see small details such as calcified canals and fractures. The doctor is able to more accurately diagnose and treat the patient using a dental surgical microscope to improve the potential outcome of the treatment.
Anintraoral cameracombines the latest video technologies with dental care. Both the patient and dentist can see detailed images of the teeth and mouth in real time. With an intraoral camera, patients are able to better understand what is happening and review the status of their oral health.
Procedures we offer include non-surgical root canal therapy, endodontic retreatment, traumatic injuries for adults and children, treating cracked teeth, and apicoectomies. Endodontics has had much advancement allowing for a very smooth patient experience that is not very different from having a tooth filled or being treated for other common dental procedures. Dr A Lukarelli performed my root canal.Its the first time I fell asleep thru a root canal. I did not feel any needle or anesthesia going into my gums. Painless! They called me the next day to check on how I was doing. I like this place!!!

Don't go here just because they take your insurance. I was told upon arrival if I did not submit to a CT scan I could leave their office even though I expressed concerns over the radiation exposure. After the CT scan they still could not determine which tooth was problematic. There is a reason they need to accept insurance while a lot of endo's do not. My tooth was in worse shape after numerous painful treatments and visits.

I have been to many different dentists throughout my life. Dr. Panzarino, Dr. Prabhu, Dr Lall And all the staff have been superb. Amongst the best I have seen in my life. Professional, clinically Excellent, and worth every penny.

My second excellent experience with Mid-Jersey Endodontics. The process from online registration to the end was simple. The receptionist, assistants and greeter were all so pleasant and friendly which helped to eliminate my anxiety. Two years ago- I saw Dr Carmen Cicalese- he was professional- excellent & patient-friendly. On Friday, I saw Dr Annika Lucarelli for a root canal bc Dr Cicalese was booked. Despite the fact that only step 1 in the root canal could be completed, Dr Lucarelli was professional- explained details that this particular tooth's xray showed potential fractures and could not predict the success of a complete root canal until she drilled and had a good view. Unfortunately, my molar had too many fractures so an extraction was recommended. However, the positive of the 1st procedure was that by removing the nerves and cleaning and medicating the area, my pain was eliminated. I highly recommend Mid-Jersey Endodontics.

There was new 3-D scan that was given and was not told that providers do not cover. When I called them, they stated I should have been told that before it was given but no one did. It's $220 out of pocket. I am picking up my scan and going elsewhere.

I was referred for a root canal retreatment and saw Dr. Carmen Cicalese (Somerville). He was very good at explaining the entire operation and my different options in terms of what to do he did recommend a 3-D x-ray and he explained and displayed to me exactly what the issue was. I was very impressed by the amount of compassion and time he took in order to explain everything so that I made a better decision. The front office was very pleasant and upon me telling them that I had some discomfort they immediately scheduled me without giving me difficulties. They processed my paperwork online and made it a breeze. For the extraction they referred me to Warren oral surgery and I had a unpleasant experience with the front staff at Warren Oral surgery The staff at Oral surgery made it difficult for me to make an appointment and after the appointment I requested the doctor called me with some information and I never got a callback.

I ended up coming here a few times this summer after a couple freak accidents with my teeth. Everyone in this office is extremely friendly from the receptionists to the doctors. I've seen Dr. Lall and I have nothing but great things to say. He's thorough, patient and extremely kind. Not to mention I've left without further issues once the procedures were complete. This practice has multiple locations and they were accommodating on getting me in ASAP.

I went to them hoping they could fix a cavity unfortunately they made the situation worst. After visiting them multiple times & them taking $300 to $400 a visit nothing was fix...To make a long story short the issue was NEVER fixed. After spending over $3000 I had to get it pulled! How does this happen? If that was the case the Dentist should of told me there was no saving the tooth but instead they just kept having me come in & fork out tons of money. On top of all that I was in extreme pain my husband would call them and tell them & they would say just bring her back in. I was literally living a nightmare with these people. I can not tell you enough how frustrating this situation as been. The inside of my mouth is all messed up & it hasn't been the same since I went to them.

This group is very caring, and professional. Both the Somerville and Flemington office are very good. Dr Brennan and her medical staff were excellent; she performed my root canal without incident. I would go back if I had the need in the future
