Conscious sedation is a safe, controlled and reversible option for the reduction of anxiety, memory and time perception during a procedure. It can be administered orally or intravenously and produces a shallow state of sedation which allows the patient to maintain control of safety reflexive functions and cognitive response.

A lot of people think IV sedation may not be safe for them. Dental anxiety is actually why IV sedation was introduced into dentistry. Being scared, nervous, and having extra anxiety can trigger cardiac events. When youre under IV sedation youre very calm, mild manner, nothing is upsetting, and your anxiety level is so low that your procedure can be done in a much safer health environment.
Also, if you have a high blood pressure episode, we have direct access to give you medications to keep you in a very safe, controlled level. That cant be done if you arent on an IV. But IV sedation isnt just for folks who have medical conditions. Pure anxiety is reason enough.

First visit here was swell and I was impressed, came in for a cleaning and the hygienist was friendly and professional. I had some cavities that needed attention and to my surprise they had time to do it right then and there. Dr. Howard was great and made having the procedure a breeze. He did an AMAZING job. Rockstar staff here for sure! - Been back again after a broken tooth unrelated to their work form my first visit that required needed a crown. While the crown wasn't covered by my insurance, they had financing options available to me which was great. I opted to get the work done and have zero regrets. Dr. Howard AGAIN was a rockstar and very mindful of his patients and how they feel throughout the procedure. Was super gentle about the anesthesia as well (I don't like getting shots at all and i didn't feel a thing!). Only suggestion/feedback I'd have for the staff/assistants is to be a little clearer if a same day procedure is being offered and ask if that works for me/the patient. On my first visit the staff did great about asking however, my second visit with the broken tooth requiring the crown I wasn't asked, and it caused some confusion but was resolved pretty quickly by scheduling another appointment.

This was my first time coming to Mid-Columbia Dental in Pasco and I can say I'm impressed. I'm glad I picked this office. The dental assistant (I believe her name was Valentina) was super nice and welcoming. The dental hygienist was great too she did a great job on my cleaning. She explained everything and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Howard was quick yet efficient when doing my filling. I would 100% recommend coming here for any dental needs. I will definitely be recommending friends and family to come here.

Great experience taking care of patients with the worst dental problems. I highly recommend these guys to take care of you that need help. Dental issues on insurance or financial no problems they mean business and they will take care of you at best.

Just wow! Mia was amazing when cleaning my teeth, gave me some great advice for my dental health, and so darn sweet! Dr. Howard was so awesome, and was very thorough! Christine was my hygienist today. Great job of doing a pain-free deep cleaning! I also like that this office takes photos of your teeth so when they discuss treatment, I can see what they are talking about, rather than just take their word for it.

Walked in and was taken back immediately. Mia was very thorough during the cleaning. Dr. Howard was friendly and explained things in an easy to understand man or. Victoria was extremely helpful with billing and scheduling and I cannot believe how fast they were able to not only get me in for a new patient but also for procedure.

Highly recommended!!! Very happy with how I was treated and the painless process of having two teeth extracted.
