The dental facility was founded in 1979 and follows the same tradition of quality health care, reasonable prices, same-day-service and Ozark hospitality as first established by Drs. Harold E. George and Frederick C. Lauer as the Mid-America Denture Clinic. Dr. Jay Hildreth established the Dental Centers' practice in 1995 and purchased Mid-America Denture Clinic in 1997.
Dental Centers with two locations in Mt. Vernon, Missouri at Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center-Highway and Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center-Loop is the Ozark pioneer of the custom, same-day, denture. Today, Dental Centers offers many other non-specialty interest services, including general dentistry with a new family dentistry emphasis, hygiene, crowns, bridges, orthodontics and implants.
Nationally known, Mid-America Dental and Hearing Center was included in a feature article on the front page of the Wall Street Journal on December 9, 1993. ABC News also featured Mid-America Dental and Hearing Center as part of a special story that aired on October 19, 2003.
A visit to Mid-America is a long-standing tradition for some families. There is free RV parking in the Mt. Vernon campground where patients stay while getting services at Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center. The well maintained, park-like setting has drawn many patients to visit Mt. Vernon for an extended period of time.
The Dr. Harold & Betty George family is still actively involved in the company. Their son, Scott George, is a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and serves as President for all non-professional services. Their grandson, Brian George, serves as Chief Executive Officer. Their granddaughter, Dr. Cheryl Williams, Mt. Vernon Clinic, also serves on the board.

In 30 days I get my hearing aids which was quick and covered by my medicare the people . The staff was wonderful and that person who did my hearing test was very kind and considerate

Took great care of my husband while he was there! I specifically want to give 5 stars for Michelle D though! Had some issues with my medical spending card that required me to have to call her several times. This lady gets the job done!! Made it seem like a cakewalk and did it all with a "smile" in her voice!

Had a simple filling. 2 weeks later still in pain. No pain before they worked on me but still 2 weeks later in pain. Can't believe I actually payed for this and can't believe they can't be more accommodating to the working man's schedule to try to fix the matter.

They took great care of my 86 year old father-in-law. His old dentures were old and worn out so he couldn't eat many styles of foods. He got a new set of better plus, fitted comfortably all in the same day for a great price. He couldn't be happier, and enjoying foods he hasn't tried in years. Thanks for improving his smile and dining choices. He's much happier now.

I referred my son to mid-America... They have always made me feel like part of the family... Extremely nice and courteous... I had no doubts they would be the same with my 26 y/o son... The staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home.. wouldn't go anywhere else for my dental needs

Mom is in memory care and they lost her lower dentures. We were able to get her in the next day. Great. They stressed the importance of her returning quickly if she gets a sore from the new denture. We bought the package for return visits for adjustments . That was Thursday July 7. Today , Monday, mom had a sore. I called to get an adjustment appointment. The quickest they can get her in is Aug 31. Over a month and a half. Rediculous!!!!! They did put her on the cancelation list, but that is too long.

My husband got a new set of dentures. The lower fits so poorly that in just a few days he can not wear it. Have to wait 6 weeks to get them adjusted. This place seems to be about the money and not the customers.
