Our offices are now open. Our top priority is always the safety of our patients and staff. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, our office rigorously maintained the highest standards of sterilization and disinfectant practices, meeting and exceeding the guidelines provided by our local and national organizations and OSHA. We have implemented additional procedures and technology to ensure the safety of our patients and our staff, and will continue to follow all necessary guidelines. Michigan OMS offices are now equipped with air purifier systems including the use of UV lighting throughout the office, which has been proven effective against COVID-19. We will also be using fogging machines to sterilize the air and every surface of our operatories to the best of our abilities. These process will be used after every patient. We will check everyones temperature upon arrival, including each staff member, via a no-touch infrared thermometer. The doctors and staff will all utilize effective personal protective equipment.
Our team practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures.
Currently, Dr. Topf is Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He is also the Medical Director of the Craniofacial and Cleft Palate Clinic, as well as the Director of the Residency Program at that institute. Dr. Topf is also an Associate Professor of Surgery at Oakland University William Beaumont Medical School.
Dr. Topf has published and lectured both nationally and internationally on various oral and maxillofacial surgical topics including implantology and surgical correction of facial and jaw deformities. He has served as an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the State of Michigan Specialty Licensing Exam.

Dr. Bournias is the director of the Cleft Palate Clinic at Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan. He is also on staff at St. John Hospital, Beaumont Hospital, Childrens Hospital of Michigan, and Hurley Hospital in Flint.

He subsequently completed his four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut in 2008. He is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Murphy is a member of numerous local and national organizations and is currently on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and St. John Hospital in Detroit.

I wanted to make sure to leave this review before I forgot. This Medical Facility employs, hands-down, the best staff of professionals I have ever encountered. Everyone is genuinely cool and friendly (not that fake happy-friendly we are often lucky enough to get from medical professionals). They were kind, really listened to my concerns, and made sure to give me the best care possible. I could really feel the collective confidence of their ability, and it eased my anxiety. Thank-you.

My dentist referred me to OMS West Bloomfield this morning for an emergency extraction (without an appointment). The whole team from the Receptionists, assistants, and Dr. Murphy himself were warm, friendly, they were able to fit me in to their busy schedule. I would without hesitation highly recommend OMS to any potential client, you will feel at ease with their professionalism, and level of care and warmth towards your treatment plan

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday. I was super anxious so they put me to sleep. They prescribed me all the medications I need to not be in pain and to heal. They also called to check up on me and when I told them I was nauseous they told me what to do so it would get better. Some of the comments said they are rude, but they were very kind to me and helpful. Not to mention it is the weekend and they still called to check up on me.

Jackie was simply amazing! Took my 18 year old daughter to get her wisdom tooth removed today and to be honest, I was completely nervous and a little scared. The front desk personnel was ok, but JACKIE, the medical assistant/nurse was so comforting, very informational and very understanding to my worry and needs! She is definitely a gem and deserves a lot of respect and kudos from her leadership as good talent that cares about what they do and how they do it is very hard to find. I would highly recommend this company for your oral surgery needs based on my interaction with Jackie and the outcome of my daughters surgery; very quick, thorough and efficient.

Dr Bolten and his staff are absolutely amazing! I had a hugh cavity in the tooth second to my wisdom tooth and was scared to death. The tooth had to come out. My fears were literally put to rest. A small amount of IV sedation, which was my request, was all that was needed to make this a painless experience. I can't thank you all enough! I would highly recommend!

They were able to take me on an emergency appointment within half an hour of when I first called them for a wisdom tooth extraction. They were very clear about the procedure and the cost through my insurance. Upon arrival, everyone was extremely friendly. Dr. Bolten and Jackie took great care of me; never thought removing 3 wisdom teeth would be so easy.

Terrible experience Dr Murphy was unprofessional and not friendly. The dental office keeps charging me and it's hard to speak to someone. They don't care about they patients. I'm so upset. I will never go back and I hate the person for referring me to him.

Got my wife's wisdom tooth extracted by Dr Murphy. The procedure was good and his staff were very good but Dr Murphy was very rude, was always in rush and didn't answer the question/concern asked. I would not recommend Dr Murphy, go for another surgeon in this clinic instead.

Dr.Bolten and dental assistant Jackie were fantastic. Came in for a wisdom tooth extraction and the procedure was relatively painless. Recovery time was quick and easy with several post extraction follow up calls from their office. I will definitely return in the future if needed.

Dr. Brian Murphy and his staff were amazing! I had a broken tooth and all wisdom teeth that needed to be removed. During the consultation they explained the process very thoroughly and answered all my questions. The procedure was quick and painless with only Local Anesthetic/Nitrous Oxide. I would highly recommend Michigan OMS!

I was terrified to have a tooth removed prior to an implant. Jackie was Dr. Murphy's assistant. She was so kind and supportive, and she put up with my constant questions and anxiety. She certainly is in the right job. Dr. Murphy was excellent. I didn't feel a thing, and it was an easy procedure. He told me that the implant would be even easier. I'm so happy that my dentist sent me to this office.

Took my son here for some extractions his primary dentist didn't feel comfortable doing. Dr Murphy and the staff were wonderful. Made him feel comfortable and walked us through the process completely. He is doing great after. Would recommend this office to anyone with kids.

Our daughter has special needs and Dr. Bolten and his team met and even exceeded our expectations for her surgical experience. The entire staff at the West Bloomfield location was exceptionally friendly and helped her feel at ease and answered all questions before and after her procedure. We just received a follow up call from the office staff to check on her progress which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this provider as he possesses expert surgical skills and a personality that shows his respect for people of all abilities and needs.

I don't know how to change my Name on this. I'm Rita M. Dr Brian Murphy and his staff are AMAZING!!! I can't say this enough. I've been having some problems with my teeth. Had a broken tooth and all 4 wisdom teeth that needed to be removed. I have high anxiety and panic attacks, scared. Then you throw Covid into the mix and delay after delay, my anxiety grew. When I got into the office, everyone was very professional and took every precaution. They were all so nice! I was dreading the pain afterwards. They all knew this going in. I get to the back and I was put on laughing gas pretty quick. Dr. Brian came in, and I don't remember much after that. My husband said they called him within 25-30 min and said I was done. It went quick and painless. It's been 4 days. I haven't had any pain. Haven't taken any pain meds except the night of the extraction and the next morning because I was expecting pain. But Never felt any pain. They called the next day to make sure I was ok. With covid going on right now they had extra precautions. Very clean and extra careful and cautious. I've been scared of any kind of dental work my entire life. But after this experience I'm excited to move on and continue the journey I'm on for a better smile. Something I've always wanted, but been too scared. The staff and doctors at OMS are amazing! I can't praise them enough. Thank you to all of you!
