Dr. Katranji received all his degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, receiving a B.A. in English, a D.D.S., and an M.S. in Periodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dean's Faculty at the University Of Michigan School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics. Dr. Katranji is well published in periodontal and implant journals as well as lectures on implant-related topics. He has been involved in the development of new bone grafting materials that makesdental implant placementpossible in more complex situations. He is a past recipient of the Ramfjord Award for Excellence from the University of Michigan, the Leadership Award from the Michigan College of Dentists, and he was a finalist for the Lazzara Implant Fellowship given by the American Academy of Periodontology. He practices Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in Ann Arbor with Dr. Misch, as well as in Southfield. Dr. Katranji has two sons and a daughter and in his spare time enjoys playing basketball, golfing, traveling, reading and spending time with his family.
Dr. Misch received her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University and continued on to receive her D.D.S and M.S in Periodontics from the University of Michigan. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a Fellow & Faculty of the Misch International Implant Institute, and a Recognized Kois Center Specialist. She is currently the President of the Russell Bunting Periodontal Society and an active member of many dental organizations. Dr. Misch is a Dean's Faculty in the Periodontal Department at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She has written publications in reputable periodontal and implant journals, as well as lectures on topics such asdental implants, surgical complications, bone grafting, etc. She has received numerous awards including Dr. & Mrs. Gerald Kramer Award for Excellence (2008 nominee), the Billy A. Smith Patient Rapport Award (2007), the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Dental Student Award in Implant Dentistry (2005) and the Russell Bunting Periodontal Study Club Award (2005). Dr. Misch is married and mom of three busy boys! In her spare time she enjoys running, reading and spending time with her family.
Dr. Bunek received his Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Dental Surgery, and Masters degree in Periodontics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Bunek is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and certified in IV Sedation. He is a past President of the Bunting Periodontal Study Club, and an active member in many dental associations. In addition to his commitment to attending continuing education courses, Dr. Bunek is also an educator, lecturing nationally to other clinicians on advancements in periodontics and dental implants. He is an active reviewer for the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry and sits on the Editorial Board for the Dental Advisor. Throughout his time at University of Michigan, Dr. Bunek received numerous accolades recognizing his passion and commitment to patient care and excellence in periodontics/implantology including the Sigurd P. Ramfjord Award, Kramer Scholar finalist, Billy A. Smith Patient Rapport Award, and the Russell W. Bunting Award. Dr. Bunek is originally from Lake Leelanau, Michigan and currently resides in Ann Arbor with his wife Sabiha, a local dentist, and two kids, Renna and Faris. In his spare time you can often find Dr. Bunek attending most Michigan College sporting events, biking, or traveling with his family and friends.

Renee is an amazing hygienist and Dr. Misch is excellent. She takes time to listen and gave me all the options available with my best interests in mind. Hard to imagine a better Periodontist.

This is a wonderful experience. I am welcomed with a smile and helpfulness. The hygienist is thorough and efficient, plus incredibly nice through the process. And the doctor knocks it out of the park for knowledge and professionalism. I can't imagine going any where else. I drive 45 minutes for their service, it's worth it.

The surgery went very well and the procedure was very quick and pain free. The numbing medicine for the procedure wore off very quickly however ( starting even before I reached my car) so I recommend asking surgeon if you could take the prescribed high dose Ibuprofen BEFORE the surgery to keep ahead of the pain. It was quite intense before I could get home to take my first pain med. Great place, friendly, professional, very quick and easier and quicker procedure than I expected.
