Michael Teitelbaum, DMD, MAGD, FACD - General dentist in Briarcliff Manor, NY

Welcome to Briarcliff Center for Esthetic Dentistry where we combine the absolute latest cutting-edge dental technology with good old-fashioned five-star service to give you the finest dental care available in the country. The owner/director here at Briarcliff Center for Esthetic Dentistry is Dr. Michael Teitelbaum. Knowing he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become one of the premier dentists in the United States, Dr. Michael raced through one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the country - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - completing his 4-year bachelor's degree in biology in an amazing two years. He went on to become one of the youngest dental students in the country at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Although further education was not required in dentistry, Dr. Michael not only attended a one-year General Practice Residency at Lutheran Medical Center, but subsequently an additional two-year high-level specialty in Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, and cosmetic dentistry) at N.Y.U, where he continued teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics for eight years until he decided to devote his full attention to his private practice.

Now happily married and a father, Dr. Michael is an Associate Attending, at Phelps Memorial Hospital, and continues his educational mission by lecturing at Dental Association meetings across the country, teaching other dentists the latest in cutting edge and cosmetic dentistry. Whereas New York State recently passed laws requiring a mere 15 hours of continuing education per year, Dr. Michael maintains his lead by taking an average of over one hundred (100) hours of continuing education per year. In fact, he has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award by the Academy of General Dentistry after taking 500 hours of continuing education, taking a challenging all-day examination, and going through a media-reported cap and gown ceremony. He also helped found the Empire State Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is founding Vice-President and has passed the rigorous examination to become a Supporting Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

You see, here at Briarcliff Center for Esthetic Dentistry we not only continually strive to give you the finest dental care possible, but also the best all-around service experience you 'll find anywhere! In fact, should you ever find something we could be doing better, please tell us. Should you find there 's nothing we could be doing better, we will consider it the highest of compliments if you 'll tell your friends, and, we 'll even send you our special 'Thank you gift of the month' to show it.

I am grateful to Dr. T and Rachel for their overall kindness and their willingness to accommodate me on extremely short notice. I called the office the minute it opened on a Friday (on an extremely snowy day, no less) and Dr. T was kind as could be in understanding my situation. He could tell how anxious I was and offered to have me come in the same day (which I did). He and Rachel had a retainer made for me in less than an hour and helped me find the best retainers to go with moving forward. Dr. T is knowledgeable and makes it clear that his patients (even brand new ones) come first.

I had an emergency over the holiday weekend. I found him on internet and called his service and, within a few minutes, Dr. Teitelbaum called me directly. He was very clear with his instructions and prescribed the appropriate prescriptions. Not being a patient of his Dr. Teitelbaum was very professional, and was able to help me get through the weekend until I was able to get to his office.

It was over the weekend and I needed a dentist on an emergency basis. I reached out to his service and, within a few minutes, Dr. Teitelbaum called me directly. He was very clear with his instructions and prescribed the appropriate prescriptions. Dr. Teitelbaum was very professional, helpful and friendly, even though I was not a regular patient. I strongly recommend Dr. Teitelbaum as a very patient-friendly and responsive doctor.

I have visited several dentists in the area just fine a good dentist but my search was hopeless. But that became false when my client referred me to Dr.Micheal Teitelbaum. His staff was polite, professional, and had excellent customer service. And, the hygienist, Ms.Ruth-Ann, has to be the best hygienist in the world. She takes her time, she knows her work, and she understands her patients needs. Dr.Teitelbaum is very experienced in his work. He made me feel comfortable, he took his time to exam my teeth, and answer all my of questions and concerns. I was nervous, due to all of the disappointment that I had experienced in the past dental visits here in New York. I can truly say it was truly high quality service. After the exam he said "I have to spend some time to go over your work, my staff and I will get back to you soon". He was very trial and to the point. He came back with a full analysis, I was very pleased with the thorough report. My confidence in dentists came back and I allowed him and his staff to begin work on my teeth. I am very pleased that I have found a great dentist that loves what he does and cares about his patients smile. Thank you, Andrea White

After experiencing horrible tooth pain from a filling done by another dentist, Dr. Teitelbaum took time out of his day (on Christmas!) to speak to me on the phone, answer my questions, and help me feel better. His questions showed how knowledgeable and experienced he is. While he did not physically treat my tooth, I cannot thank him enough for his help and guidance.

I just called Mr Teitelbaum from Toronto, to ask about the alternative to a root canal treatment he had written about in an article I found on the web by him, while I was searching alternative treatments, known as direct pulp capping. I was hoping he might know of a dentist in Toronto that would do the procedure on a deep cavity tooth I have, he is aware of a few in the u.s. but he did say if I find one here, he can email them a step by step guide on how to do it, how awesome is that! trick is finding someone willing. I spoke to dentist here and they say that procedure is done only in children teeth, but Michael assured me that it works on adult teeth well! I wish I could travel to New York right now and be treated by him, its 7 hours drive, but Im not sure if Canada will make it easy for me to return home, being unvaccinated, our rules here are just too much! they expect us to get tested at the border, stay in a quarantine facility, thats just scary to me, I live alone, I should be aloud to quarantine in my apartment, and quarantining when im not sick makes no sense at all as well. o canada lol Michael is very knowledgeable and spent the time to talk to me on the phone about a few other areas of concern in my mouth, one other being an infection on the opposite side of my mouth in or under a big filling tooth that needs a root canal. he heard my symptoms, and explained possible cause, which was clarifying for me. he explained types of antibiotics that would help in my case, since Im taking one already. and he explained the time frame I would have to get the work done, before pain/infection comes back all the way. I still have some decisions to make, weather root canal, extraction... but he did assure me that a root canal is safe and can last many years as long as the dentist does a fantastic job in sterilizing the tooth. we chatted about another tooth as well. Michael knows his stuff, and I feel good that he took the time to speak to me over the phone, I had time to ask a few questions, and for that I feel heard. so Thank you for that!

Dr. Teitelbaum is an amazing dentist. He definitely tries to accommodate and get to the root of the issue/ discomfort. He also thoroughly explains what the problem is and explains what he's doing. It's a 45 min drive to his office, which I'll gladly do, because of his great service. I highly recommend him.

Dentist Michael Teitelbaum is professional, kind and very knowledgeable. He was highly recommend when I had a dental emergency during Covid-19. I am so glad I was in his care. He was able to do what no dentist has ever done for me in minutes when he adjusted my bite to perfection! He placed a beautiful fitting crown after I got a root canal. You can count on this dentist!

Let me start off by saying this place is a SCAM!!! I went in for an emergency visit because my actual Denist was fully booked. I made sure to let them know that my previous Denist told me I needed a root canal on the tooth that was bothering me. They told me come on in that they will make sure to take the pain away and a least heal the tooth. So, I go in thinking I was going to actually be helped, instead my time was wasted. I was there for about 15 mins and was told by the Denist the same thing I already have told him before even coming in, "you need a root canal, but I am going to first send antibiotics to the pharmacy because I can't work on the tooth." I was confused and asked if the pain would go away.. which was the main reason I came in. So, after he convinced me that the medicine he sent to the pharmacy would take the pain away I get handed a $300 bill... which makes no sense to me because NOTHING was done to my tooth, I was leaving with the same pain I walked in with... after I questioned the $300 bill the Denist then try's to convince me that he can now do the procedure, ALL OF THE SUDDEN he could now heal my tooth after he just told me I needed to take antibiotics for a least a week before he could heal the tooth. So basically, I was getting charged $300 to just sit in his chair to be told the same thing I already knew and leave with the same pain I came in with. I would not recommend this place.
