To those of you interested inlearning a little more about me... I am a loyal Bruin fan having graduated from both the UCLA School of Business and the School of Dentistry. I have enjoyed a general practice background ranging from private practice, to Hospital Dentistry, to volunteer programs for under privileged children. With over 30 years of experience, I have practiced dentistry for patients of all ages. I thoroughly enjoy the art and science of Dentistry. I consider myself a lifetime student, through which I can provide the highest quality of care for my patients. I have always placed a strong emphasis on thorough diagnostic procedures, which will lead to well organized and understood treatment plans. I like patients to be involved in the decision making process. Every person has their own treatment needs, costs and objectives whichwill ensure comfortable, meaningful dental care to last a lifetime.

My wife Brenda and I recently celebrated our25th wedding anniversary. We enjoy spending time golfing and hiking. Our son graduated from San Diego State University and our daughter graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. To see them experiencing new beginnings and exploring their boundaries is amazing.

Another passion of mine is golf. I have traveled around the world playing many famous courses. My ultimate fantasy would be to retire at age 60 and join the Senior PGA Tour, but Brenda thinks I should keep my day job.

Dr. Maurissa Kiefer is a California native from the central valley. After finishing her undergraduate studies at University of the Pacific in Stockton, she went on to get her DDS degree from University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, in San Francisco, CA. She is ecstatic to be returning to her home state after practicing in the Seattle area for the past 6 years.

Dr. Kiefer strives to provide her patients with comfortable, high quality care. One of the many reasons Dr. Kiefer chose to pursue dentistry was because she wanted a career that would provide her with the opportunity to establish a true, life long relationship with her patients while helping them get the smile they desire. Her philosophy is to provide a comprehensive treatment for each patient to focus on their individual desires and designs an individualized treatment plan that is suited for their needs. Dr. Kiefer is dedicated to ensuring that her patients feel comfortable and confident in the quality of their dental care.

Outside of the office you can find Dr. Kiefer spending time with her family and friends. One of her biggest passions is traveling the world; experiencing different countries and cultures. In the summer she enjoys soaking up the sun while wakeboarding and wake surfing, and in the winter, you will find her on the ski slopes.

Dr. Philip Vassilopoulos is the new Periodontist in Dr. Tobians office. He works one Monday a month in the office. He received his first dental degree from the University of Athens in Greece and completed his Certificate in Periodontology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He joined the UAB faculty and served throughout his time there as Clinic Director, Predoctoral Director, Director of the Graduate Prosthodontics Implant Clinic and as Postgraduate Director of the Periodontology within the ranks of instructor, assistant professor and associate professor. He also went back to school at UAB to receive a second degree in Dentistry.

Dr.Vassilopoulos has always wanted to live on the West Coast and relocated to the bay area. His hobbies include listening to music and traveling. He also enjoys spending time with his family; he is married and has one daughter.

Dr. Vassilopoulos has been invited to give several presentations on national and international meetings and he has been the author of articles in periodontics and implant dentistry. He has been well respected as a teacher and mentor and he was the recipient of the American Academy of Periodontology Educator Award in 2007. Dr. Vassilopoulos has extended experience in the full scope of periodontics and implant dentistry. His interests are concentrated in providing the best treatment options to his patients based on solid evidence and innovative concepts. He is well known to the students and colleagues as a Master Clinician.

My name is D'Et. I have been a practicing Registered Dental Hygienist for over 20 years, with a total of more than 25 years in the Dental Profession. I have served as Chairperson in various positions on the Mt.Diablo Dental Hygienist Society Board. I am a current member of the CDHA and ADHA. I have been an employee of Dr. Tobian's team for over 18 years. I am an RDHAP serving those who cannot access dental care in a traditional setting. I enjoy spending time with my six girls laughing and running them back and forth from various activities.

My name is Keri. I was born in Concord, CA and have lived here all my life. I have worked with Dr. Tobian for 17+ years. I have been in the Dental field for about 20 years. I really enjoy my job. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my nephew.

My name is Kathi Lee. I have been in the dental field for over 38 years. I love what I do and plan on working the next 10 years with Dr. Tobian. I am a wife, mother, and Nonny. My husband and I raised two boys and now have moved on to the best part of parenting, grandparenting! We currently have 3 g-kids and are expecting our fourth this July. I enjoy golf, camping, boating and just anything with family or friends. My husband and I travel to Maui each June and will continue to do so with all my grandchildren. I feel lucky to be a part of Dr. Tobian's Team and look forward to meeting each and every one of his kind patients.

My name is Kristie. I was born and raised in the bay area and currently reside in San Ramon. I have been a registered Dental Assistant since 1991 with both front and back office experience. I love the field of dentistry and working with people. I have two sons, two daughters, and a wonderful husband, James. I love spending time with friends and family, doing anything outdoors. I'm looking forward to meeting you and happy to be part of Dr. Tobian's team.

My name is Brianna. After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College in Massachusetts, I returned back to the Bay Area where I was born and raised. I worked as a dental Front Office Coordinator for 5+ years and then went on to study dental hygiene locally at Diablo Valley College. I have been a practicing RDH since 2015 and hold memberships in both the CDHA and ADHA. I am very passionate about my profession and love being part of the Tobian team! My other interests include traveling, hiking, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

My name is Maggie. After graduating UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Communication, I decided to follow my lifelong dream and pursue the dental field. Ive always wanted to be a hygienist and even wrote my senior research paper on it in high school. Pretty neat, huh?! I have two daughters, 3 and 5 years old and they keep me busier than I ever thought was possible! They are strong-willed, independent and sassy little things and I am incredibly blessed to be their mom! In my free time, my husband and I like to sneak away to Santa Barbara for a quick refresher or binge watch espionage shows after the kids go to bed. I feel super fortunate to be a part of Dr Tobians team! One of my favorite aspects of the dental field is building relationships with patients and I look forward to meeting you all!

Samantha is a new Dental Assistant working 1 Friday a month in Dr. Tobians office. Samantha received her certification as a Registered Dental Assistant from Diablo Valley College and graduated President of her class. Samantha enjoys connecting with patients and making sure they feel comfortable and taken care of while in our office. She is expanding her dental knowledge by pursuing an advanced education degree to her Dental Assistant license. She loves to spend time with her horses and dogs and enjoys reading, being with friends and trying new restaurants.

Laurie is a new Front Office receptionist in Dr. Tobians office. Laurie was born and raised in beautiful Colorado. She moved to Walnut Creek in 2010 along with her husband, Darrick and two children, Payton (16 yrs old) and Cooper (11 yrs old). Laurie was a patient of Dr. Tobians for over 19 years before joining our Dental Team. Being in the Dental Industry since 1997, she knew she was in good hands with Team Tobian. Lauire supports the Front Office and back office operatories whenever needed.

Sandy W. is our new Front Desk receptionist. Sandy was raised in Modesto,California and moved to the Bay Area with her husband in 1986. She has worked in the dental field for over 36 years. Sandy loves spendingtime with her 7-year-old dog a Maltipoo named Crystal and her kids whenever possible. In her spare time, she loves reading and traveling.
