Dr. Michael Pitt was born and raised in Evansville, growing up 3 blocks from his current office. He completed grade school at St. Joseph, graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 1974 and in 1977 received his bachelors degree, graduating magna cum laude, from Indiana State University Evansville (presently the University of Southern Indiana). He continued his education at Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction in 1981. After practicing several years in New Harmony, IN, he moved back to his hometown and has been at the present location on North Weinbach since 1987. Since completing his formal education, Dr. Pitt stays current with new techniques and methods with his dedication to continuing education.
When Dr. Pitt isnt in the office, he can usually be found playing golf. He, his wife Martha, and their 3 grown children enjoy most any outdoor activity including, hiking, camping, canoeing and spending time in the mountains or on a beach.
Each of my staff has been with me for 8 years or longer and are excellent in their particular field. They are happy to help you with every step of your visit. From reviewing brushing techniques or explaining treatment, to understanding your payment options and insurance benefits. We pride ourselves on making each patient feel comfortable while partnering with you to provide the highest quality of dental care.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Pitt for prob 15+ years. He's down to earth and always does a great job. Great staff as well!!

Great staff, especially Dr. Pitt. They never seem rushed and willing to explain/answer questions kindly and thoroughly. Before going to Dr. Pitt, I had a deep fear of going to the dentist because of past experiences. I no longer have dental anxiety because of Dr. Pitt and his staff.

I have known Dr. Pitt for years and would recommend him to anyone. His team is suppppper nice and welcoming. It is like family when you walk in. Very great and trustworthy. :) if you are in need of a dentist make sure you check him out!!

I would recommend Dr. Pitt to anyone! I have been a patient for 4 or 5 years and have never had a bad interaction with office staff, hygienists, or Dr. Pitt. They are all so friendly and professional. However, what I appreciate most is that they are never pushy. I think some dentists try to get more money out of you by pushing you to have work done that you don't REALLY need at that time. I've never gotten that from Dr. Pitt's office though. Makes the dreaded task of going to the dentist a little bit better.
