More than anything, I love being a dentist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the friendships that Ive built with my patients and their families are something I truly cherish. It has always been my primary focus to make each patient feel at home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.
By regularly participating in continuing education courses, I am constantly up-to-date on all the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and taking regular continuing education classes allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results. Hello! My name is Wendy, some of you may recognize me from when I started at Dr. McCarthy's office back in 2002. Six years and four kids later, I went part time, then decided to take some time off. (As an employee, not as a patient!) My entire family drives from Simi Valley for our dental care because Dr. McCarthy and the rest of the staff are the best! Now that my kids are older and more independent, I am back in the front office full time, and it is so good to be 'home'! I look forward to seeing all the familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones!
I am originally from Morro Bay, CA and I have been in working in the dental field for over 20 years. I love being a Registered Dental Assistant and helping patients maintain and achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. I truly enjoy working with Dr. McCarthy and the rest of our wonderful team. Everyone works as hard as they can to create an organized, enjoyable, and welcoming office for our patients. When Im not working I enjoy running, walking my dogs, and spending time with my son.
Hello! My name is Shanelle and I work in the back office with Dr. McCarthy as his assistant. I may be new to the dental industry, but I have learned so much since I started working here, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I love being an assistant because it gives me the ability to help people and make them feel more confident about their smiles. I enjoy meeting the patients while working alongside Dr. McCarthy, because it gives me the opportunity to really see the care and attention that he gives to each and every one of them. I feel so lucky to work here, I could not have chosen a better team to work with. Dr. McCarthy and the rest of our staff always go above and beyond for the patients and their needs, and will always be up to date on the highest quality treatment options. When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family and new puppy, going on bike rides, long hikes, and walks.
As a dental hygienist I always strive to educate and help patients with their oral health needs. I enjoy getting to know my patients, and I try my best to provide treatment in a warm and compassionate manner to make their visits as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Its very rewarding for me to have contributed to their improved dental health. It is such a joy working with Dr. McCarthy, because he truly cares for his patients and his staff. He is always keeping up with the latest technology and dental procedures to provide the highest quality treatment possible. My husband, Armando, and I, enjoy watching movies and spending time with friends and family. In my free time I also enjoy working out, reading, and volunteering at hospitals and my parish.
I became involved with dentistry in 1999. I was a senior in high school at that time, trying to decide what I wanted to do and I signed up for a certification course in Dental Assisting, and I was immediately drawn to the field. The combination of science & artistry intrigued me and I continued my education to become a dental hygienist in 2007. Working with Dr. McCarthy the past 4 years has been a great pleasure. Every staff member is dedicated to their work and providing exceptional care in a safe and comfortable manner. We love what we do, and I am so grateful to be a part of this team.
I graduated from USC dental school 27 years ago, and I have been living and working in Ventura County for over 20 years. I feel very luck for this great career that I still love doing. My favorite part of being a dental hygienist is getting to know my patients and their families.
I graduated the Dental Hygiene program at USC in 1992, and I have been working as a hygienist ever since. I have two children, and have lived in Ventura County for over 20 years. I enjoy running and biking, and I love racing in triathlons.

My wife and I have been using Michael McCarthy's dental service since he started. His s practice is close by, Mike and his staff is competent , knowledgeable, and the facility is clean and up to date. Mike cares for his patients wellbeing.

Dr McCarthy and his staff are professional, highly competent, conscientious, and a pleasure to do buisness with. They have helped me numerous times with 'teeth troubles'. Most recently they quickly referred me to another dental specialist to evaluate the seriousness of my tooth ache and determined that with some very minor dental adjustments, the ache would likely resolve without surgery. They're worth driving 150 miles for!

Great service, clean environment, and you can relax and watch some tv/read a magazine while waiting for your appointment (always less than 10 minutes, usually about 5 minutes) Dr. McCarthy always greets you with a smile and handshake (pre-Covid), extremely professional/friendly office.

I am a new patient at Dr. McCarthy's office, and I can honestly say I've never had better or faster care! I had needed a small procedure and was able to get an appointment same day, and was in and out within what felt like 30 minutes! The procedure was completley painless and Dr. McCarthy even called me later in the evening to make sure I was doing okay! I've never been treated so well at any facility, so I'm extremely happy with the overall experience and look forward to my next dental visit :)
