For over a decade, Dr. Michael L. Schwartz has restored and rejuvenated smiles. He graduated with an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University before receiving his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He then went on to complete the Advanced General Dentistry residency program at The University of Maryland.
As a graduate of the Misch Institute of Implantology, Dr. Schwartz values postgraduate training. He pursues many courses each year to stay on top of the latest developments in dental procedures and technology. Dr. Schwartz attended the Nash Institute for Dental Learning, and he's a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He currently holds membership with the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Schwartz firmly believes that to provide the best possible care for his patients, the very best and most caring dental professionals are required and they must form a cohesive team. Because of his emphasis on continuing education, Dr. Schwartz has countless tools at his fingertips. With intraoral cameras and X-rays, Dr. Schwartz will study the details of your teeth, gums, and bite to diagnose your situation. To show you what your smile could look like, and to analyze function, Dr. Schwartz may create a diagnostic wax up. For your comfort during clinical procedures, we may use the Wand. This computer delivers local anesthetic steadily during a procedure, so you can stay comfortable.
Many patients feel anxious before dental procedures. We'd hate for your dental experience to be anything less than a pleasure, so Dr. Schwartz offers oral sedation. With oral sedation, you will enter a state of relaxation and drowsiness that reduces or eliminates pain, anxiety, and stress.
Cosmetic bonding can be a viable, affordable alternative to porcelain veneers, but it lasts only 5 to 10 years with proper care. Bonding will not discolor as your natural tooth enamel will, so touch-up teeth whitening may be required to keep your natural teeth the same shade as the bonded area.

Just switched to Dr. Schwartz and I'm so glad I did. The office staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. My hygienist Carol was professional and kind and really made me feel at ease. Dr. Schwartz was also incredibly kind and I really felt that he had my best interests at heart.

Dr. Schwartz and staff are really impressive. I was going to a dentist that moved to Mercy Hospital. I chose not to follow her. I was worried about finding another dentist. It made sense to find someone close to our Catonsville home. Anyway, the office staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. When I needed a crown, I was anxious. Dr. Schwartz made certain I was comfortable and the procedure was painless. He was gently, kind, informing me all the way through the procedure of the next step. I would totally recommend Dr. Schwartz and his staff!

Was able to obtain an appointment as a new patient within a week; concern about my situation was attended to by the front desk staff when I called for appt, & then the dentist & assistant did the same. Office is clean & bright. Very satisfied with this practice.

I've always had a pleasant experience when visiting this dental practice. The staff are friendly and competent. They squeezed me in for a quick look at a chipped molar yesterday, smoothing out a rough edge of the tooth that was irritating my tongue, and scheduled me for a follow up exam.

Can't say enough about the amazing staff! From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave you feel like family. Every person you interact with it's happy you're there. I love how they always recognize when my hair is different (even though it's been 6+ months since they've seen me), always ask about my kids, and remember details even I sometimes forget! Seriously, the best place in Catonsville for your dental needs.

I've been going to Dr Schwartz for a long time-10+ years. . He is wonderful and his staff is excellent. He's very available, explains things well and is very caring. His hygienist Helen is excellent! Today I had to have my bridge removed because of a decayed tooth. His assistant Jayene was very good and seemed to anticipate his every need. They are the best!
