Dr. Bassiri entered the dental field in 1990 after graduating from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, and he opened his first private practice the following year. In order to ensure he stays on the cutting edge of dental care, Dr. Bassiri regularly completes advanced training and continuing education courses. Cosmetic dentistry is one area of special interest that Dr. Bassiri has extensive experience with. As part of his dedication to excelling in cosmetic dental care, Dr. Bassiri graduated from the prestigious cosmetic dentistry post-graduate program at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He loves to transform patients smiles with custom makeover plans.

Our state-of-the-art facilities are outfitted with the latest dental equipment and tools, which interface with each other to share information effectively. Since opening in 1991, Dr. Michael K. Bassiri and his team have worked hard to care for our patients and deliver exceptional dentistry. Our staff is comprised of professional, skilled individuals who truly care about the well being of our patients.
Dr. Bassiri graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990, and has built upon his education with extensive experience and continuing education. He advanced his expertise in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry by graduating from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the premier post-graduate dental teaching center. He can perform full-mouth restorations, just like those conducted on TV makeover shows. Smile transformations are one of his specialties.
Dr. Bassiri has lived and worked in the Washington D.C. area for over 39 years. He has been married to his wife, Susan, for over 34 years and they have two children, Steven and Leeza. The Bassiri family currently lives in Northern Virginia.

We rarely refer patients to outside practices for treatment since our skilled team is able to provide most of the services you and your loved ones will need under one roof. One of the main reasons patients avoid visiting the dentist is cost. We know that worrying about paying for your familys oral health care can be extremely stressful, but it doesnt need to be. Our Gainesville dental team takes the time to carefully explain your treatment options, insurance coverage, and out of pocket costs. Before we begin any procedure, you will know your out of pocket payment, and we will work with you to make sure this price fits your familys budget. We are happy to process and file your dental insurance claims to offset these costs. We also offer an in-house dental savings plan for our patients who dont have traditional insurance plans. If you need to pay for the cost of your services over several months, we can often work with third party financiers to help you receive low or no interest financing.
Our Gainesville dental practice is conveniently located off of Lee Highway. Youll find us on Manassas Drive between Lee Highway and Turtle Point Drive. We are next to the Virginia Cancer Specialist of Gainesville and directly across from Staples and Dicks Sporting Goods. will never go back there! Way over priced and he does not believe in pain meds writing prescriptions. He also did not do what he said. I will go to another dentist. How he gonna say take some tylenol when he does surgery...... and then dont do a good job. Paid over 7000 for this... um dont go there.

Dr. Bassiri and I became friendly and I enjoyed working with the ladies on his Staff during appointments along my journey to receive implants for my 2 front top teeth. The most important factor was that we built a relationship based on trust in his professionalism and knowledge. He explained every step to me and set expectations. Losing my front top teeth affected my appearance, but Dr. Bassiri designs a plan to bring your smile back; maybe even better than before :-) I recommend Dr. Bassiri for your needs for implants or general dentistry. Dr. Bassari messed up my bone graph, refused to fix his mistake, gave me $400 back from $7000 No implant, he blamed me. He is a criminal, he barely even tries to speak legibly so you can understand what he is saying.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Bassiri for nearly 25 years! Like many people, having dental work performed can cause stress, however Dr. Bassiri always makes sure I am comfortable and completely pain free during any procedure I have. I have had extensive dental work done and Dr. Bassiri is the only dentist I will allow to work on me. He encouraged me to get a full set of upper veneers and they look beautiful!! Before any work is done, he makes sure I understand what work is needed and the cost for the work done. Dr. Bassiri is an excellent dentist and I highly recommend him and his team!!

Dr. Bassiri just completed the long procedure of providing me with a new Dental Implant. In spite of the many physical negatives of needing/having this done, the Doctor, as well as all his office workers and assistants, made the experience a VERY positive one. I would recommend him to anyone needing any type of Dental procedure. He also has a wicked good "bed-side manner!"

Dr. Bassiri takes care of his patients. He does everything he can to make me relax and make me comfortable and I am a nervous person when it comes to dental work. The dental chair massages your back if you want. You can watch tv in the dental chair and/or you can listen to music. Dr. Bassiri explains what needs to be done to correct dental problems and does a meticulous job. He asks for your acceptance of the work he has done and waits for your smile.

Dr. Bassiri is a GREAT Dentist and Periodontist!! I needed my front right tooth to be extracted and an implant procedure done. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. Dr. B walked me through the stages of what he was going to do, and gave me a plan to follow. I could tell he put a lot of effort into the procedure and was very detailed while doing so. He called the next day after my surgery to make sure I was feeling okay. His whole staff are very personable, and inviting. I highly recommend giving Dr. Bassiri a call if you need any work done!
