Dr. Michael Whitted completed his undergraduate education at the University of Northern Iowa, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry, he went on to attend dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is happily married to his wife, Meghan who is local rockstar realtor. Together they are proud parents to their seven children. Matthew, Michael, Johnathan, David, Christopher, Suzie, and JP. Dr. Whitted was an associate dentist in Naperville, Illinois for three years before opening his own practice in South Elgin, Illinois in May of 2006.
Dr. Whitted and his family love the Fox Valley area and are proud to call it home. Living within minutes of the office offers a convenience and flexibility to both himself and his patients. Dr. Whitted and his family are involved in the local community and he loves running into patients around town; whether it be at a community event, a high school sporting event, or even while out to dinner at a local restaurant.
Dr. Whitted is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). These organizations allow him to stay up-to-date with all the recent changes in the field of dentistry, through the many hours of continuing education he and his team receives each year.

Erica is the Office Manager at Michael J.Whitted & Associates. She joined Dr. Whitteds team in 2007. Her main responsibilities are overseeing the office and making sure the day to day operations run smoothly. Erica is also cross trained so you may see her assisting the doctors from time to time. She enjoys getting to know each of the patients and help them with the care they need and deserve. Erica truly enjoys being part of such a wonderful, fun, and caring team. She is married with 2 children, David and Kylie. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and relaxing on their boat in her spare time.
Jolanta has been in the dental field for over 10 years. She started working as a Dental Assistant in Poland where she was born and raised. In August of 2005 she relocated to the United States and decided to continue her career in the dental field. In June of 2007 Jolanta completed a Dental Assisting program in Chicago, IL.
Jolanta joined the team Michael J. Whitted & Associates in October of 2016. She truly enjoys working with team of professional, ambitious, caring and dedicated coworkers. She takes pride in providing a relaxed and comfortable environment to patients so they always have a positive dental experience. Jolanta lives in Elgin with her husband and two kids. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys biking and taking long walks with her dog Axel.
Our friendly and competent staff is dedicated to patient comfort and quality care. We provide the best and latest in dental technology and treatment options. We provide gentle, family-oriented dental care to the adults and children of this community. We utilize the best equipment sterilization techniques available to dentists.
We are proud of our office, which fully utilizes state of the art equipment. We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements. The source of water for our dental units is distilled water (bottled water), which removes any chance of contamination from regular tap water like that used in most dental offices.

I had an amazing experience at the Michael J. Whitted & Assoc. dentist office. They were able to see my son right a way after being hit with a golf club into his mouth. Dr. Sediq explained everything step by step not only to me as to a parent but especially to his 12y old patient who had no clue what was going on. The staff is very friendly and so welcoming! They make you feel right at home. I guess we just found new dentist office for our whole family! I highly recommend this place!

My Autistic child sat in the chair for the technician after a bit of coercing but did not want to open his mouth. He just shook his head no. She stated she would have the doctor check who came in and asked to speak to me privately without ever evaluating my son. I expressed my fear of a bad tooth infection and he stated we would be better off going to a pediatric dentist where we could sedate him. Walking out they said to just put it as an office visit. I asked for proof that it wouldn't be billed to insurance since they never attempted to look in his mouth. I scheduled my own visit and leave. The dentist calls me from his PERSONAL CELL PHONE to ask if there was a misunderstanding because he heard I was upset. I said I just wish he had TRIED to look so if he needed abx immediately we could have started treatment. He said "I did try" I said "no, you never tried to look in his mouth" He responds "well I was just calling to see if there was a misunderstanding and to tell you that it would do me a favor if you didn't come back." I said excuse me!? He said "don't come back, thank you" and hung up.

All that I wanted was to get my teeth cleaned! Instead I was xrayed all over my mouth and I had to wait for what seemed to be forever! I'm 80 years old and I was trying to get my teeth cleaned before being a recipient of an award next Tuesday.

I had been going here for 7 years, though I never felt like anyone knew me or my family. Everything we had done was very standard so I never had a complaint. If you're looking for a giant dental office where nobody knows you then this is the place. The dentist also spends very minimal time visiting with you, usually only 1-2 minutes for a standard cleaning. However, what happened to my daughter was eventually the icing on the cake. She's 5 and I was taking her here for 2 years every 6 months for regular cleanings. Just the other day her back molar completely broke. He spent 1 minute with us and told us we needed to take her to a pediatric dentist. Fine, totally understand because they have more tools to help kids feel comfortable. I took her to another dentist AND a pediatric dentist who both confirmed that she has 10 cavities!!! Both dentists were able to see the cavities without x rays even being done!!! She now needs EXTENSIVE dental work including 2 crowns!!! How was this missed for so long?!?! Then we found out that he wants to charge us for his 1 minute visit when he couldn't do anything for us. I also let the front desk know before I even left there that I was having an extremely hard time getting into the pediatric offices they recommended and this was a slight dental emergency and I asked if they had other recommendations. She said she would call me to find out other ones. I'm still waiting for their call. Absolutely horrible. If you're looking for a dentist that has about 1 minute to spend with you and is a money making factory then this is the perfect place. My entire family is switching out because of this. I DO NOT recommend!!!

Everybody there is super friendly. The service is PAINLESS, quick and professional. I stress PAINLESS for those that have anxiety and/or stress about going to the dentist, like myself. My wife and 2 boys, 11 and 13, started going to this dentist after we moved to the area. They all said they were very happy with their appts. I have had 2 appts so far for a cleaning and prepping for a crown (go back in 3 weeks). I really liked how Michael DDS took pics after my cleaning and explained why my tooth needed a crown, which wade it obvious. Both appts my experience was PAINLESS. All the prepping (grinding the tooth down) they did for my crown, didn't feel a thing! Next I knew, all done. If you have any issues with your current dentist or are looking for one, I can't emphasize enough how strongly I feel to give them a try. This crew is special and I guarantee they welcome the opportunity to win your business.

If you're looking for a dentist this office is a must go to! The entire staff makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in and I usually never wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. The staff explains things thoroughly and goes over a treatment plan and cost prior to starting any treatment which I really like. Dr.Whitted and his team definitely live up to his "expert care with a personal touch" motto!

By far the BEST office I've ever been to. The staff is excellent and the doctors are incredible. From calling in to walking out Dr. Whitted had me out in no time. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!!
