Dr. Michael Whitted completed his undergraduate education at the University of Northern Iowa, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry, he went on to attend dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is happily married to his wife, Meghan who is local rockstar realtor. Together they are proud parents to their seven children. Matthew, Michael, Johnathan, David, Christopher, Suzie, and JP. Dr. Whitted was an associate dentist in Naperville, Illinois for three years before opening his own practice in South Elgin, Illinois in May of 2006.
Dr. Whitted and his family love the Fox Valley area and are proud to call it home. Living within minutes of the office offers a convenience and flexibility to both himself and his patients. Dr. Whitted and his family are involved in the local community and he loves running into patients around town; whether it be at a community event, a high school sporting event, or even while out to dinner at a local restaurant.
Dr. Whitted is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). These organizations allow him to stay up-to-date with all the recent changes in the field of dentistry, through the many hours of continuing education he and his team receives each year.

Erica is the Office Manager at Michael J.Whitted & Associates. She joined Dr. Whitteds team in 2007. Her main responsibilities are overseeing the office and making sure the day to day operations run smoothly. Erica is also cross trained so you may see her assisting the doctors from time to time. She enjoys getting to know each of the patients and help them with the care they need and deserve. Erica truly enjoys being part of such a wonderful, fun, and caring team. She is married with 2 children, David and Kylie. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and relaxing on their boat in her spare time.
Jolanta has been in the dental field for over 10 years. She started working as a Dental Assistant in Poland where she was born and raised. In August of 2005 she relocated to the United States and decided to continue her career in the dental field. In June of 2007 Jolanta completed a Dental Assisting program in Chicago, IL.
Jolanta joined the team Michael J. Whitted & Associates in October of 2016. She truly enjoys working with team of professional, ambitious, caring and dedicated coworkers. She takes pride in providing a relaxed and comfortable environment to patients so they always have a positive dental experience. Jolanta lives in Elgin with her husband and two kids. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys biking and taking long walks with her dog Axel.

The source of water for our dental units is distilled water (bottled water), which removes any chance of contamination from regular tap water like that used in most dental offices.
