In every case, we strive to maintain as much of the natural tooth structure as possible. Both our Renton and Issaquah dental offices feature advanced technology that allows us to diagnose and treat many problems in the early stages.

Dr. Scoles is an experienced general dentist who has advanced training in oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics, and our associate doctors add to the breadth of experience at our practice. Dr. Reich is a top-rated general dentist with a special interest in prosthodontics. Dr. Butani has a background in community dentistry and is great with children. Combined, our dentists have a total of 59 years experience. Our training and expertise allow us to offer a more complete range of specialty procedures right here in our Renton and Issaquah dental offices. But, in the event that you need to see a specialist, we work with a strong pool of experts who will make sure you get the treatment you need.

For every patient, we start with a thorough comprehensive exam, which will include x-rays, intra-oral photographs, and sometimes models of your teeth. During the exam, we will also explain how we interpret these images and other results, and discuss the self-care and lifestyle habits you should follow to improve or maintain your oral health. Well also discuss our treatment recommendations in detail. Both our dental offices are certified by the state of Washington as environmentally responsible practices. Were proud to report that our Issaquah office has four EnviroStars, and our Renton office has a perfect five-star rating.

Our advanced equipment includes digital impressions, CEREC one-visit ceramic crowns , diode lasers, and the Galileos 3D cone beam tomography system. The Galileos takes a three-dimensional image that guarantees exact placement of dental implants.

We attempt to run our business as environmentally friendly as possible. We utilize digital x-rays, eliminating caustic chemicals and the plastic and cardboard that holds the film. Our office is going paperless, negating the need to create any paper waste. We are even asking all of our specialists to correspond via email instead of sending x-rays and reports via regular mail. We are avid recyclers and do our best to reduce the amount of waste we generate. King county has a program designed to reward small businesses for being eco-friendly. We like to contribute to charities that are important to our patients. Each year, we sponsor several patients who walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. If you have a charity that you are actively involved in, please let us know about it and we will consider a donation.

We think it is important to play an active role in our community and the development of its young people. This year, we have sponsored the Patriots, a girls 10 and under team in the Soccer Club of Renton East League. We wish them nothing but success and healthy smiles!

From Paisley, Oregon (population 435) to the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Michael Scoles life and career have taken a nontraditional route in more ways than one. At age 17, Dr. Scoles ambition was to become an aeronautical engineer. But after he got to hold the mirror during his wisdom teeth extraction, his fascination turned to the mechanics of dentistry. His passion for building things, however, remained strong.

After dental school, he served in the US Navy for three years. While in the Navy, Dr. Scoles received advanced training in Oral Surgery, Endodontics and Prosthodontics at the Naval Submarine Base, Bangor in Silverdale, Washington. This additional training enables Dr. Scoles to perform a wider array of procedures in the practice, procedures that would normally have to be referred to a specialist.

Dr. Scoles is a master trainer for CEREC technology. A technique that allows dentists to make crowns in a single office visit. He enjoys teaching other dentists and sharing his knowledge. He also lectures around the country on behalf of one of the leading dental product manufacturers teaching dentists about the newest materials available.

After fulfilling his military obligation, he returned to the Pacific Northwest and has practiced here for the past fifteen years at his offices in Renton and Issaquah. Dr. Scoles and his wife Laylia have two boys Kai and Jace. Besides spending time with his family, he enjoys kiteboarding and building large scale model airplanes.

In addition to treating patients, Dr. Scoles enjoys educating other dentists. Hes become a sought-out speaker, lecturing across the country on topics such as guided implant surgery and dental restorative materials.

Dr. Reyes was born and raised in Californias Bay Area and has lived in various parts of the country before calling the Pacific Northwest her home. She has been in the dental field for over 10 years first starting her dental career as a dental assistant and front office/patient coordinator. It was this early exposure where she cultivated a caring, empathetic and compassionate chair-side manner and where she developed an understanding of how to help patients navigate their dental insurance to maximize their benefits.

She attended the University of Washington for both her undergraduate and dental programs earning first a Bachelors degree in Cellular, Developmental and Molecular Biology and later her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). During her dental school education, Dr. Reyes volunteered her free time at community outreach programs including Seattles Union Gospel Mission where she unknowingly first met Dr. Scoles. It was also during this time she received a strong foundation in dental sciences serving as a teaching assistant for the Fixed Prosthodontics, Immediate Dentures and Complete Denture courses. She was the recipient of the Charles L. Bolender award for Prosthodontics.

After dental school, Dr. Reyes received additional training with the latest in innovative dental technology including CEREC and CAD/CAM technology. She has also received certification in the BioClear technique and continues to take continuing education courses in order to stay on top of the latest developments in dentistry.

Dr. Reyes believes in a conservative approach to dentistry and in working side by side with patients in addressing their treatment needs as well as helping them obtain their vision of oral health. While she enjoys working with patients of all ages, she especially loves the challenge of working with children and in making dentistry both a fun and positive experience for them. She is excited to be joining Dr. Scoles and the Renton dental team in providing only the very best quality of dentistry to our long time patients and also our new patients.

When not working, Dr. Reyes enjoys spending time with her family and going on adventures with her mini double doodle Kooper. She enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, watching musical theater shows, playing the piano and in being involved in the community often volunteering her time with her local church and church sponsored events.

Dr. Lee H. Zamos originally from Auburn Twp., OH grew up as the youngest of 5 boys in his family. Prior to dental school, Dr. Zamos completed his undergraduate education at Miami University where he played Varsity Football and earned a B.A. in Zoology. Following Miami Dr. Zamos attended the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry where he earned his DMD in 2015. While a student Dr. Zamos was published in dental ethics journals and won national accolades for his clinical research on dental implants.

Upon graduation Dr. Zamos pursued advanced training in hospital dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency with the University of Washington Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UW and Harborview Medical Centers. During residency Dr. Zamos got advanced training in hospital dentistry, oral surgery, emergency dentistry, root canals, pediatric dentistry, clinical pathology, dental implants, as well as the safe treatment of medically compromised patients.

Following residency Dr. Zamos spent three years working as a dentist for the Tulalip Tribes of Washington where he gained tremendous clinical experience and a deep respect for the Indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Zamos brings a commitment to excellence, patient education, and compassionate care to his practice. He is an active supporter of the American Dental Association and its local components, as well as an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Zamos stayed in Seattle after residency because he fell in love with the active lifestyle and natural beauty the northwest has to offer. Away from dentistry Dr. Zamos enjoys spending time with his wife Katie, travelling, mountaineering, playing basketball and spending time on or in the water.

I am incredibly happy to join Dr. Scoles and the rest of the staff in Issaquah. Dr. Scoles reputation for excellence precedes him, and Im excited to continue my lifelong commitment to learning with our amazing team and patients.

Galileos is a three-dimensional x-ray machine. For replacing missing teeth, nothing serves the patients best interest more than imaging the area with this technology. It allows us to accurately measure the exact thickness and height of bone available for placing a dental implant. Implant placement without this technology reduces the likelihood of ideal placement and increases the risks of nerve damage or perforating the sinuses. Coupled with the cerec cad/cam imaging system, we can virtually place your new tooth into the 3D image and design your implant placement exactly where it needs to be in relation to your teeth and jawbone.

Magnification loupes allow us to provide better patient care. There are things that can be missed with the naked eye. Magnification loupes reduce the risk of us missing a diagnosis and helps assist in developing the most appropriate treatment plan.

Our office utilizes digital x-rays. This technology benefits you by cutting the amount of radiation you are exposed to by more than 50%. It also benefits the environment. We have done away with the chemicals used to develop traditional x-rays, and all the waste produced by the actual film.

Having the ability to take a picture of your tooth magnified forty times helps us see things that would be difficult even with our surgical loupes. Again, using this camera helps us in diagnosis and in educating you.

One of the best tools we have to get our patients involved in their dental diagnosis and treatment is our Intraoral Digital Cameras. These allow you to see what we, the dental team, are seeing. This helps you see for yourself exactly what is happening in your mouth.

Since we are able to enlarge the inside of the teeth to more than 40 times their actual size on a full color screen display wtih an intraoral camera we see much more than we could with the human eye alone. Often, we find the beginnings of periodontal disease or tooth decay that would have otherwise gone undetected if examined without the intra-oral camera.
