I did not have a good experience with Dr. Mintz last year. I have a very sensitive mouth and have had some bad experiences with some dentists. (One didn't understand referred pain. One drilled a cavity too deep and I ended up in excruciating pain until I could return to him the next day, then needed a root canal. Another placed stitches in my mouth that touched a nerve and I had to endure excruciating pain for a week. As soon as he removed the stitches, my pain was relieved.) So long story short, I flinched each time I felt the sting of the needle before the medicine numbed my gums. Dr. Mintz stopped his singing to chastise me. He said there was no need for me to flinch because I'm not 12 and that's probably why my teeth are so bad because I have an unnecessary fear of dentists. He tried to clean it up later, but the damage was done. Although his work was satisfactory, I'll never return to him. On top of that, it turns out that he wasn't even in my dental network and I had to pay a lot out of pocket. He can go kick rocks.

Wish I could have been treated but staff kept screwing up my appointments. Dr. Mintz came HIGHLY recommended by my dentist and a friend. Due to the doctor's illness, they had to reschedule my work a couple of times - that's ok. I'd rather wait. When we finally found a date that would work, I drove all the way to Chicago Heights to find out the scheduler not only put my appointment on the wrong date but at the wrong location. I specifically told the woman when making the appointment I can not drive to Indiana. No thanks. I found another practice that was highly recommended and a much friendlier staff as well.

I had a great experiences with Dr. Mintz, I had to have a retreatment of a root canal done from a infection in my old root canal. I was referred by my dentist to come to him. The 1st appt I had with Dr. Mintz I was very scared but his team was very professional and nice. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. He sings the entire time which is not only funny but it really takes the edge off while you're sitting there. I do find it to be a little on the expensive side but completely worth it and I will never go anywhere else to have a procedure like this done again. I would highly recommend. Thank you Dr. M. Mintz
