Practicing in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Grizzaffi is a General Dentist with advanced training in Implant Dentistry & Intravenous Sedation treatment techniques. Dr. Grizzaffi earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Grizzaffi completed a one year General Practice Residency Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Soon after Dr. Grizzaffi began private practice as a General Dentist in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Grizzaffi performs both the Surgical & Prosthetic (restorative) phases of Implant Dentistry. This means that the entire comprehensive procedure will be done at the same office from start to finish. Maintenance is also very important and who better to maintain these advanced services than the rendering doctor and staff.
Parenteral techniques, which include Intravenous Sedation, also requires additional training. Dr. Grizzaffi has had a great deal of experience in this field. Dr. Grizzaffi received his training in Parenteral Sedation at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein Medical College, in New York City. Dr. Grizzaffi continues to maintain his privileges as a member on staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital serving as an attending in the department of dentistry. Dr. Grizzaffi holds both Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support status from The American Heart Association. The Parenteral Sedation Permit held by Dr. Grizzaffi is awarded by the State to those who meet the high qualifications as set forth by the New Jersey Dental Board. To date, there are few General Dentists in the State who hold this permit. Dr. Grizzaffi also has a wide base of experience in all phases of General, Implant, Surgical and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Grizzaffi also has a great deal of experience working on medically compromised patients. Since he maintains admitting privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital he is able to treat patients who cannot be treated in a typical office setting due to having significant medical conditions (Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Alzheimers, etc.). These patients who arent able to be treated in the usual manner can have their dental needs attended to.

Many of you will have questions regarding treatment protocols, insurance reimbursement, office sterilization techniques and a host of other very important issues. We will be happy to answer any and all of your concerns and questions. Please remember though that questions are best answered when you are properly examined by our professional team. Some of you may feel that questions concerning treatment should be able to be answered via just a phone conversation. Unfortunately, this is not only impossible, but it is also very dangerous. The office must have a complete medical history and all of the diagnostic aids necessary to properly ascertain the treatment that is best for any patient. Very comfortable they confronted all of my questions before I even asked DR.GRIZZAFFI is gonna have a consultation with me one on one . Another dentist I was considering on visiting didn't even offer any alternatives,therefore yes very satisfied with Dr. Grizzaffi DMD beautiful atmosphere.

Haven't been here, won't go here - receptionist was exceptionally rude with my partner when making an appointment for me - he has all my information, and other doctor's offices have been able to accommodate the scheduling. He explained that I have high anxiety about going to the dentist, scheduling an appointment is anxiety inducing itself, and I didn't want to deal with the scheduling. Receptionist was the typical type you often deal with in doctor's offices - arrogant, condescending - "well then how is she even going to come to the office?" For a place that specializes in DENTAL ANXIETY, you'd think they'd be more accommodating. I'm so tired of receptionists who are on a power trip. Also, consider entering this century, email communication is the norm, and it wastes less of my time and yours.

It is great working with Dr. Grizzaffi. He is very gentle in his touch and he gives you should greatest comfort that it will be better after your consultation with him. I had to search out Dr. Grizzaffi for his abilities because my kids just raved about how gentle he was in dealing with them so as I needed him I searched for his services and I love it.

I've been going to Dr. Grizzaffi for over 10 years. I have a horrible fear of going to the dentist because I experience a lot of pain in my jaw due to TMJ. Dr. Grizzaffi is so gentle and makes me feel comfortable whenever I go in for an appointment. I have used the sedation dentistry for several procedures and his staff is really great

Recently our daughter needed dental care, and she is the type of kid who is extremely nervous visiting a dentist. She had very bad experiences in her previous visits so we were looking for someone who was kind, gentle and who would put their patients at ease. Dr Grizzaffi was all that and more. He took excellent care of our daughter and after the procedure she is much better and in no pain. Thank you, Dr Grizzaffi - you are the best!!

I've been with Dr. Grizzaffi since he started in practice at another location. I have a dental phobia and had IV sedation for 20 years. While I still would need it for a complicated procedure, I've been able to "graduate" to Nitrous and headphones with him. He is extremely gentle and caring, and his staff is as well. I don't think I will ever switch!

Such a stroke of luck that a Google search helped me find this amazing dentist. I've seen probably 20 in my life. I have such PTSD and scars from prior experiences with subpar dentists in at least 4 states, I neglect my dental health routinely because I simply don't have the guts to go until there's a problem. Dr Grizzaffi is a caring, attentive, empathetic dental professional and I couldn't more highly recommend him, as a medical professional myself.

I have been to this dentist a good amount of times in the past couple years. There was a point where I went to him after about 5 years OF NOT going to the dentist and WOW, I needed a good plaque deep cleaning. Ok, this was absolutely NO FUN at all. However I can tell you first hand the pain was obsolete. None at all. He does do IV I know of and Novacaine, I do the nova as I dont like the feeling of IV. But rest assured, he actually goes out of his way to call you if you call and leave a message after hours. You have to respect that kind of dentist.

I'm pretty sure that Dr. Grizzaffi will be my dentist until he retires. Dr. G and his staff really go way above and beyond to make my trip to the dentist an extremely comfortable visit and believe it or not it's actually enjoyable. No more postponing going to the dentist for me! His work is pain free and outstanding. I constantly get compliments on my smile. My oral health is in great shape for the first time in years! I highly recommend a Dr. Michael Grizzaffi and his amazing staff.
