Dr. Mike Nelson is a Duncan, OK native. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1972 and earned a bachelors degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford in 1975. Dr. Nelson obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Oklahoma University in 1980. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Nelson opened his private practice in his home town.
Thanks to the support and loyalty of his patients, Dr. Nelsons practice has grown to become a high-tech facility withstate-of-the-art equipment capable of delivering the highest-quality dentistry available. He and his staff truly really care about the well-being of their patients.
Dr. Nelson has a passion for learning and regularly pursues advanced training and education. As a member of the American Dental Association and the Oklahoma Dental Association, he attends local and national dental meetings each year, most recently in the area of dental implants. He has also taken advanced courses in orthodontics with Invisalign.
Dr. Nelson is involved in many aspects of the community and is committed to making Duncan a better place for families to live. He currently serves as city council member in Ward Two and spent many years coaching youth sports teams, as well as helping with community projects, such as Project Graduation.
Dr. Nelson is married and has three children Megan Henderson, Mendy Nelson, and Garrett Nelson of whom he is very proud. He has been even more blessed with eightbeautiful, wonderful, and smart grandchildren.

I began my career as a dental assistant in 2007. Ithen attended the the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. My job includes the evaluation and care of my patients oral health, treatment of periodontal disease, and administration of anesthesia, as well as patient education. My favorite part of my job is the opportunity to serve people in the community. I love watching people grow as they learn about their health and gain confidence in themselves, starting with their smile. Its my number-one goal to make my patients smile!
I am the first smiling face you see when you come in to the office. I have been an active part in the dental field since 2010. I work at the front desk and also assist Dr. Nelson in the back office chair side.
My career as a dental assistant began in 1987. I am a native Texan transplanted to Oklahoma in 1998. I joined Dr. Nelson and his staff in July 2015. I enjoy the closeness of our office family and the new relationships established with our patients. I am the office manager and tend to all theneeds of our patients and staff.
