Dr. Diorio is a third generation Colorado native who loves taking in what his home state has to offer, like skiing, cycling and running. He also enjoys being able to capture the moment and the beauty of it all through photography.
Theres rarely a time when Dr. Diorio isnt up to something. If hes not doing those hobbies or giving you a smile you can be proud of, he enjoys collecting, whether it be craft beer or vintage and custom bikes. He is also a huge baseball fan and loves spending time with his two adult children.
Dentistry has been his passion since he was in eighth grade. After having a great experience at the dentist as a child, he knew this was his calling, so he attended Colorado State University for pre-dental studies and went on to graduate from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Soon after, he spent the next three years as a naval dental officer stationed at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot in San Diego, before opening his own dental practice in Englewood in 1989. Being a dentist has become one of Dr. Diorios greatest joys as he loves being able to care for everyone who walks through his doors.
He loves getting to know his patients on a more personable level, because it not only makes their visit more calming and less stressful, but hearing their stories makes his passion for dentistry grow even stronger.
Dr. Diorio wants to do away with the stereotype of stressful trips to the dentist by helping his patients feel calm and comfortable. He feels its especially important to do this for children, who will form their opinion of dentist trips at a very young age.
Being a part of the Metro Denver Dental Society and the Colorado Dental Association give him the chance to remain involved with organized dentistry and he has been a consulting dentist for over 20 years at Craig Hospital, helping patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. He even joined forces with others at the hospital to create a custom mouth stick for quadriplegics.
Hi! My name is Toni. I am a Florida native but have been living in Colorado since 2014. I am happily married to my husband Howard of 30 years, and together we have 3 amazing children, Zachary, Danielle, and Alexandra. I like hiking, biking, swimming, karate, going to the gym, and scrapbooking! I graduated dental hygiene school in 1980. I also have a BS degree in nutrition, a masters in sports medicine, and a masters in adult education for health professionals.

Of all the dentists I've been to over my lifetime, this is by far the best! I even took my kids out of the kids' dental office they'd been going to and started bringing them here; they all said they like this dentist better! :) It's always a pleasant experience, and you can tell the people here care about you, your health, and your finances. I highly recommend Dr. Diorio.

We have finally found a new dentist "home" for our family! Dr. Diorio and his team are great. Our dentist of many years retired during Covid, and we bounced around a bit with myself and my husband before our orthodontist recommended Dr. Diorio. We're a family that has a lot of dental needs as I have terrible teeth, and my kids (both 11) are getting ready for braces. We've been going to Dr. Diorio now for 9 months or so, and he has been the winner of everyone we have gone to by everyone in my family. Dr. Diorio makes my kids feel comfortable, he is fun while also sharing the important info needed, and he really listens. Additionally, the front desk team and hygenists are great. I'm not one to write reviews, or to love dentists in general. However, I can hands down say that if you need a dentist, you will want to check out Dr. Diorio!

Dr. Diorio and his staff are caring and understanding of my anxiety related to dental procedures. When I explain my concerns, he is able to slow down, explain things, offer suggestions and make notes for next time. He and his staff are wonderful with my children as well. Explaining things and taking a true interest in what they have been doing in school and life. I would highly recommend Dr. Diorio!

Dr Diorio and his staff are AMAZING. I moved to Denver a year ago and was looking for a dentist for the longest until I found Dr Diorio. I've gone in for a cleaning and a filling and I can confidently say that I have found my permanent dentist!! Him and all of the members of his staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and kind. I truly appreciate how they take their time to describe everything they are doing, including the instruments they use, to put my mind at ease. I also appreciate how they are great at sharing best practices to keep my teeth and gums super healthy. So happy to have found Dr Diorio!! Shoutout to Taylor, the kindest and most amazing hygienist!

Haven't been to the dentist in an extremely long amount of time, but the staff and Dr. Diorio we're so understanding and kind about it. They wanted to get to know me on a personal level, and I felt comfortable the whole time. Dr. Diorio walked me through everything we needed to do to get back up to speed with great bedside manor. For the first time in my life, I am actually looking forward to going back to the dentist!

I've been a patient of Dr. Diorio's for very many years and I've never regretted choosing him for my dental needs. Kindness, empathy, and compassion are the first things that come to my mind when I think of Dr. Mike. I'm not a great patient but he meets me where I am at and gives me advice to improve without criticism. Before I always assumed that Novacaine shots absolutely had to hurt like crazy. Dr. Mike takes as much time as necessary to make it at least nearly, if not completely pain-free. Dr. Diorio is a very dedicated professional, and I'm beyond grateful to know him!

Dr. Diorio was professional explaining what he was doing & checking in with me that I understood was ok. I didn't tell him of how I am not a the best patient due to past traumatic dental experiences. Starting with a tooth abscess when I was 6 yrs old. He was very gentle. Probably the most gentle dentist I've ever experienced. He squeezed me into his schedule which really helped. I was very thankful & happy with the experience.

I've been seeing Mike my entire adult life and have felt so well cared for throughout a myriad of dental issues, including being available by phone through a tooth abscess I experienced while living out of state. Dr. Diorio's office feels like family and it is always a pleasure to see them. Everyone I've ever seen has been gentle, thorough, and inclusive. Would give a hundred stars if I could.
