Dr. Yee was born and raised in the Bay Area. He attended George Washington high school in San Francisco and UC Santa Barbara for undergrad. After graduating from college, he worked as a researcher at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for 5 years. During this time, he learned valuable skills such as analyzing data and using evidence to back up results. He later attended and graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. With his background in research, Dr. Yee won numerous awards in research at UOP. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Yee worked in Prince Rupert, BC, Canada before moving back to the Bay Area. Dr. Yee loves connecting with his patients and regards them as part of the family. He looks out for their best interest and uses evidence in order to come up with the ideal treatment for each patient.
Dr. Yee is a diehard Golden State Warriors fan and has supported the team even when they were terrible. He also enjoys barbequing (even though he is not that great at it) and spending time with his family.
Dr. Wong was born and raised in the Bay Area. He went to Skyline high school in Oakland. After, he attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he received his B.S. in Biology. In 1987, Dr. Wong earned his doctorate in dental surgery from the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, in San Francisco, California.
With a commitment to delivering the highest level of contemporary, comprehensive and compassioate dental care, Dr. Wong established his own practice in Vallejo in 1988. Dedicate to staying current and proficient with the leading edge dentistry, he has incorporated some of the most advanced dental technology and techniques into his practice. He has taken advance training using a dental diode laser and also participated in Vallejo's first dental implant study group. He and his staff participates regularly in continuing education and advanced training courses though out the year.

I was referred by a co-worker who has been going to this dental office for years. This is my second time visiting this office and I will have to say they don't disappoint. The warm smile you get when you walk into the office, the Amazing customer service. Dr. Yes even remembered my favorite football team. This office has some amazing employees.

I am a special needs patient. I have had multiple spine surgeries. Dr. Yee and his staff are very accommodating. Can't believe how well they took care of me! Even had a special neck brace for dental chair. I was scared when i got there. Felt like I was leaving my family when we left!

This place is one of the best dentals i have ever been to, from the staff, to the equipment and the well behaved emotional support dog Warren. At the beginning, I was not a big fan of dentals, especially since I haven't been to one since the middle of covid when I had my braces taken off. But when I stepped into the building and was greeted by smiling faces and a grinning dog, I felt more at ease. The procedure itself, filling my cavities, was alot better than I had envisioned. Having my older sister and the dog beside me really provided comfort, but what comforted me the most was the welcoming attitude of the dentist there, Dr.Yee. He calmly explained the procedure and talked to me throughout, I felt little to no pain at all during all of my cavities that he filled--there were alot(sorry)! I would very much recommend this place to anyone who is scared or is uncomfortable with dental care because these people can fix that :)

Just wonderful. I was so anxious about going to the dentist but being able to book online and even the questionnaire asking how nervous I felt about coming in & anything they could provide to help with my anxiety was so helpful. Everyone at the office was so kind & helpful. I hadn't been to the dentist in years so I ended up needing 5 appointments but surprisingly found myself looking forward to them be cause of how great everyone was. I'm so thankful for everyone at Dr. Yee's office.

Dr. Yee did a very good job with my cavity filling; I have no pain anymore. He made me feel at ease and listened to my concerns. Highly recommend for anyone needing a dentist! Also he has a very cute and well-behaved doggy assistant named Warren for emotional support.

My family has been with dr Wong for over 25 years. He is top notch dentist and the staff are very helpful. I am sad to see him retire but confident dr Yee will be able to fill his position.

Great place to get your dental work done. The whole process was seamless and fast. You can either call in to make an appointment or schedule it yourself online. Dr. Michael Yee is professional and skilled. He explained everything thoroughly before taking any action, so there were no surprises. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Family Dentistry is the best place I've been to in awhile. To the Alien and Ghostbuster figurines to the warmest customer service. Dr. Wong and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you are being taken care to the best of their ability. I have been a patient with Dr. Yee since I moved to California 3 years ago. I was nervous to find a new dentist after my move, but from the first visit with Dr. Yee everyone at the office made me feel welcome and comfortable. His staff are warm and friendly and the office is clean and well organized. Dr. Yee really takes time to examine you and get to know you. I was nervous at my last visit because I am pregnant and having bad morning sickness. I expressed my concern to Dr. Yee and he took his time with me and was gentle and understanding. I highly recommend this office!

I've been a customer for 30+years. In that time Dr. Wong created and maintains the best dental office culture for patients and staff that I have ever experienced. Always masterful in dental work, professional, honest, passionate & friendly. The staff exemplify these attributes, plus some: Erika - Helpful & extremely knowledgeable in insurance billing & planning. Christy - Superior in dental procedures & a keen eye to detail. I've been going to this practice for years. The office staff is always friendly and professional. Laura, the dental hygienist, is very gentle and my teeth always feel great after getting them cleaned. Dr. Darren has a technique he uses to give novacaine shots which minimizes the pain. I hate shots but always know it won't be bad if I'm getting one from him. He's also good at explaining what needs to be done and why. There is a light hearted atmosphere in the office which helps to put me at ease especially if I'm having something done that I'm not looking forward to. :-) I trust Dr. Darren & his staff and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Quite honestly I'm always terrified of seeing a new dentist but my experience at this practice has been great. They are very organized, kind, professional and everyone, I stress everyone treats you wonderfully. Both Dr Wong & Dr Yee are fantastic and Laura gives me such great cleanings that I wish I could get more than 2 a year. So happy I was referred to them by a friend!

Super quick and simple. Went in for a routine cleaning and some x-rays. I was in and out of the office what seemed like 20 minutes. Friendly and knowledgable staff. I'd recommend seeing Dr. Michael Yee. He looks like a he's a young guy, but was actually pretty knowledgeable and answered all my concerns. Didn't try to sell me more services and just let me know my options. Definitely will be back when the insurance allows. I can see the dentist a couple times a year on my plan, and haven't had the best of luck finding a good dentist. This one seems like a keeper. Keep up the great work!
