In 1994 I graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Afterwards, my wife, Holly, and I moved our small family to Vernal to start our dental practice. Since that time my staff and I have provided a wide range of dental services in the Uintah Basin. Holly and I were both raised in Carbon County. However, my roots run deep in the Uintah Basin as both of my parents were raised here.

Prior to dental school I graduated from Carbon High School. I then attended the College of Eastern Utah and the University of Utah. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the Academy of LDS Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry; where I was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award in 2009.

My family and I have always enjoyed athletics and outdoor activities. When not in the dental office I am most likely to be found enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family. I have spent many years coaching baseball, basketball, softball, and serving in the Boy Scouts of America.

My name is Amber Williams. Growing up I only wanted to be two thingsa marine biologist or a dental hygienist. As oceans are scarce in Utah, I choose the latter. I took classes at USU in Vernal, UVCC (currently UVU) and graduated from CNCC in 1991. I started my dental hygiene career on the Wasatch Front, moved back to the Basin in 1994, and joined Dr. Smuins practice in 1996. I have 2 active, sport- loving boys and a husband, which makes me the princess of the family. I have been blessed to work part time, so she can participate in family activities. I take great joy in sharing information with others. When I dont my fingers in mouths, I have found a captive audience! I am often on my soapbox professing my testimony of fluoride, Xylitol, drinking less soda, flossing, etc. My greatest days are when patients return and have incorporated better habits in their oral lives. I know that good oral health benefits the entire body. When I am not fighting for oral health, I love to be with my family. Our family loves to travel and I try to make sure the ocean is visited as much as possible, so I can pretend to be that marine biologist.

My name is Rachelle Baum RDH. I received my Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Colorado Northwestern Community College in 1998, and have worked at Dr. Smuins office for 15 years. I enjoy helping our patients care for their teeth but I am currently taking some time off to raise my 5 children. I miss seeing the faithful patients who have become my friends over the years. When Im not busy with my family I enjoy boating, reading, and camping. Although it has been great to take some personal time I look forward to returning when baby Paisley gets a little older.

My name is Cali Maguire. Ive been a hygienist for 6 years. I graduated from Colorado Northwestern Community College in 2007. Ive worked for Dr. Smuin for 5 years. I married Jesse Maguire in 2007. In my spare time I like traveling and spending time with family.

Hi, my name is Lindsey Price and I am a Dental Hygienist for Smuin Dental. I received my education at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely, CO. Graduating class of 2010. I have a passion for dental hygiene and I enjoy spending my day building relationships and getting to know the patients I see, educating patients on their oral health, and of course- I LOVE to scrape all the gunk off teeth :) I was born and raised in Vernal. I married my husband Jake in August 2011 and we just welcomed our first baby boy, Paxton, in November 2012. I am happiest when I am spending time with my family. Some of my favorite things to do are: snuggle my baby, watch movies with my husband, shop, play sports, and be outdoors.

My name is Stephanie Gilroy. I joined Smuin Dental in 2004 as the receptionist. In 2010 Dr. Smuin trained me to be his assistant. I love working with Dr. Smuin and helping patients smile bigger. I have lived in Vernal my entire life. I married my High School Sweetheart, Wes Gilroy. I have three amazing children. Two ambitious boys, Tyler and Konnor, one beautiful girl, Charlee. In my spare time I like to scrapbook, camp, play sports, watch my kids play sports and spend time with my family.

Hi, Im Melisa Manwaring. I was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. I met my husband Mark while he was living in Salt Lake City. We were married in 2005. He was born and raised here in Vernal, Utah. We moved to Vernal 6 years ago. We have always loved Vernal and wanted to raise our family here. I started working for Dr. Smuin a year after we moved here as the Receptionist. I have been at Dr. Smuins office for 5 years and I am in training to be a Dental Assistant. I love to travel. I have traveled all over the USA and my most favorite trips were to London, England and New Zealand.

Hi, my name is Salina Mckee. I was raised in the Heber Valley. My husband Tyler and I started dating in High School. We graduated together in 2013 and where married in 2014. He has basin roots and always wanted to end up here, so after he finished school in 2015 we bought our home in Ballard. I received my dental assisting certification from MATC in 2013 and have been assisting since. I started working for Dr. Smuin in 2015 and am so grateful to work in such an awesomeplace. In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and our very active little boy Sawyer doing anything outdoors.
