Our location has a strong history of serving the Austin community. Started by George Blackburn D.D.S. (originally Blackburn Dental) in 1978. Dr. Blackburn made a commitment at 12505 Hymeadow Dr, Austin, TX 78750 to provide quality dental care to families for over 43 years. Now retired, Michael Augustine Jr. D.D.S. has picked up where Dr. Blackburn left off, continuing a practice built on the highest standards of dentistry.
Jennifer was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She has been a Dental Hygienist since 2009 and has enjoyed working with Dr. Augustine throughout her dental career. Jennifer takes pride in helping her patients overcome their fears and making dental visits comfortable. One of her favorite aspects of her job is helping her patients achieve the healthy smile that they desire.

I think finding a new dentist is more than finding an experienced, talented person with a DDS. You also have to feel comfortable with the support staff during procedures, and then trust that the front desk person will be able to help you through the maze of insurance paperwork and any preauthorizations you may need. I feel supremely lucky to have just found Dr. Augustine's office - where all of these people made getting a crown last week completely painless, in every way possible. I actually have PTSD from having seven years of braces in the early 1970s. I don't do well with any dental procedures aside from cleanings, but the Office Manager, Charlotte, made sure all my insurance ducks were in a row. Nichole, the assistant, was very calming, and she stayed and talked with me while we waited for the crown to be made right there in the office. I was lucky because I didn't have to get a temporary crown and come back later. Dr. Augustine was able to scan my tooth, make the crown, and permanently attach it in less than three hours. I wear a nighttime retainer on my lower teeth, and the crown fit so well that he didn't have to remove any of the molded retainer to make it fit the same as it did before. Amazing! He has such a soothing voice, and he explains everything to you. I also highly recommend the laughing gas to take the edge off reality - I admit that I'm a baby but thank goodness they have something to help you get through it. Not a single thing caused me any pain whatsoever. If you are searching for a new dental home, give Dr. Augustine and his team a try. They kept me smiling, and that's exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Augustine has to be the best dentist in Austin. He is kind, gentle, calm. I have had dental anxiety for most of my life, but since finding Dr. Augustine's practice I don't dread cleanings anymore. Always a pleasant experience.

Dr Augustone is awesome. Because of him,, I don't dread going to the dentist anymore. We've recently moved north of Austin but we're going to keep coming into town to see him.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Augustine for many years and love his Dentist practice. He always makes time to visit and get to know his patients. I feel he truly is looking out for each of his patient's best interest. Our hygienist is equally great- very friendly and performs great work. I also have to comment on his administration specialist, Charlotte. Charlotte always greats us and is super helpful with scheduling and billing questions. If your looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend giving them a call.

Dr. Augustine has a very calming approach and is great at explaining, step-by-step what to expect from minor routine to more detailed procedures. Charlotte makes the experience great from the moment you walk in the door to checking out post-treatment. All of the supporting hygienists are amazing as well. I highly recommend their services. Dr Augustine is an amazing cosmetic dentist. His work is exceptional. I have had him repair chips in my front teeth on two separate occasions and I have always been more than pleased with the outcome. His staff is friendly and welcoming. He and his staff are great at what they do. I have used numerous other dentists in Austin and none compared to the experience I recieved at DR Augustine's office. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing dental work.

Dr. Augustine, along with the staff, are excellent. Charlotte takes care of appointments, insurance and making sure everything for the appointment is all set up. I've been a patient at this office since 1991, and am happy to to have them be my dentist office. A lot of people choose an office close to their home or work, but it's definitely worth the drive if you aren't normally in the area.

My family has been going here for over 10 years. Dr. Augustine, Charlotte, Carlene and the rest of the staff are amazing. Very knowledgeable about all forms of dental care ( we even had Invisalign at the office). Charlotte really knows all the ins and outs of the insurance, and has answered so many questions about it. It's a little out of our way distance wise, but definitely worth the extra miles!
