Dr. Michael Zerivitz, a native of Baltimore, MD came to Florida as a US NAVY Dentist, at the Naval Training Center in Orlando. After his military service, he came straight toDeltona, and has been here ever since as a proud contributing member of our community.
Educated atThe George Washington Universityand theUniversity of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Z is very community-minded. Over the years, he has run local Health Fairs, lectured on Dentistry, visited schools to teach about dental care, and has mentored students from dental assisting programs. Dr. Zerivitz has also been avolunteer dentistin Brazil and Thailand and his articles have been published on new dental techniques.
Dr. Zerivitz is married to the lovelyOdy. Their children are grown and on their own. Both Ody and Dr. Z enjoy traveling and pursuing Dr. Zs serious hobby of travel photography. He has been awarded the nationalMaster of Photographydegree, theFlorida degree of Photographic Excellence, is aCertified Professional Photographer(CPP), and teaches on behalf of the Professional Photographers of America. Dr. Z is also a three-time winner of the prestigiousPhotographer of the Yearaward. His award-winning pictures are exhibited in his dental office for the delight of his patients.
In addition to doing dentistry, Dr. Zerivitz is also a Portrait Artist. This means is that he has studied the face and knows a significant amount about proportion, shading, colors and shape. All these factors will benefit his patients when creating their masterpiece smiles.
Some of the best cosmetic dentists see dentistry not just a function of using the more durable materials, but also,of using those materials that will give the most life-like natural look to their restorations. Dr. Z feels that dentistry is an art and he enjoys the color-matching and layering process to produce highly esthetic results with his dentistry. This is one reason why many of his patients will drive from nearby counties to have Dr. Z do their dentistry.
Kelsey is one of our hard-working dental assistants. On her off days, Kelsey is a part-time student and a full-time mom to her loving cattle dog named Gus! While in the office, she strives to bring a positive and fun atmosphere to everyone who walks in the door.
Nicci has lived in Florida for over 23 years. She loves everything the sunshine state has to offer; Beaches, springs or anything that gets her outdoors and in the sun! Nicci is the Mother of an amazing daughter who makes me a better person everyday!

Kelsey is rude & misleading. Very rude over the phone & in person, not helpful & will be charged for things you weren't told nor signed for.

What a great dentist office. Caring staff, competitive pricing, and Doctor that knows his stuff and is as caring as the staff that works with him. Would definitely recommend a friend or family member seeking a dentist.

I have been coming to this off for several years and have a had a great experience. Dr. Z is an expert at his craft. However, today was a huge disappointment to me and my 5 stars quickly dropped to 3. I guess my insurance dropped Dr. Z the day before my appointment. However, I was still called by the staff to ensure I was coming and verifying my insurance. When I arrived for my appt they again verified my insurance. During none of this time did they tell me my insurance had dropped them. I proceeded with xrays and received a treatment plan only for them to return and THEN tell me I was out-of-network and provide me a quote to pay or search for my own dentist who was in network. I thought about paying, but the more I thought about it I decided to leave. Here are my issues (especially as being a provider myself and caring for patients): As a patient, I should have been notified at the front desk prior to taking me back that my insurance was out-of-network and I would have to assume most of the cost. I was told the person who verified the insurance might not have understood that. Ok, so they should not be verifying insurance etc. I had to pay for my xrays that were done, now i will have to do them all over again and pay twice. I should have been given the option to decide if I wanted to be seen out-of-network and pay for them. When I asked for a copy of the xrays, the receptionist stumbled over her words and never told me how I could get them, I just left $45 wasn't worth the argument. I was made to feel like they brought me back just to see if I would take the bait and pay out-of-pocket vs finding another dentist. My appt time had been changed to 11 from 10 a few days prior and the receptionist told me this was good news as I could get all my work done that day. Not true, due to the insurance issue, they told me there would not be enough time even if I did consider doing the work and paying out-of-network. So I changed my time for their convenience not mine. Again, Dr. Z is great at his work, but from a business and insurance standpoint, terrible service. Make sure you specifically ask if your insurance is in-network and you will likely have a good experience. DT

Dr. Z is hands down the best doctor around. He is very knowledgeable as well as informative and very up front with you about everything. His staff is by far top notch! I can't imagine going anywhere else for my Dental needs and I am so happy to have found his office when I truly needed someone to be understanding. This is the office to go to if you have any sort of fear or anxiety that surrounds the Dentist, after just 1 visit and I was fist bumpin Dr. Z after my visit!!

It is very very rare I give a review, but at Dr. Z's office deserves more than just 5 stars. The staff is amazing, they are friendly, the young lady at the front desk is knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and is very attentive to making sure you understand the process on the financial side. Dr. Z has been and is by far the best dentist I have have ever been to. Would definitely recommend him.

I had went into Dr. Z office with a mouth full of decay. With personal issues preventing me to go to a dentist and bad experiences in other dentists I didn't go to one for about 6 years. Dr. Z office is full of nice and caring staff! I pass out when I see or get shots and each time I went they held my hand ! It made me feel comfortable. Dr. Z himself is an absolute amazing dentist and he knows what he's doing . I got three BIG procedures done and now sent off to an orthodontist. I highly recommend Dr. Z. Let me tell you... I have insurance and although his office don't take most insurances , I still went to only him ! Because of his excellent work and caring and comfortable environment!

I was so scared to go to the dentist. Caved in after years not going after horrible pain. I decided to go to Deltona Smiles after making several calls to multiple places. The whole staff treated me great as I was so scared. He was fast and gentle and now after not being in pain I'll be going back to get more work done. I highly recommend this place if you want to be treated kindly and change how you feel if your scared

Any fears I had of the dentist are gone now. I needed 2 root canals, and didn't feel anything during the procedure. Doctor Z is great and makes sure you're feeling comfortable, and his staff is great as well.

I set my appt up and they verified my insurance and told me I was covered under my insurance. I never received a call or a voicemail left from them and all of the sudden I get a collection on my credit report for a balance. They told me I was covered under my insurance and then tried to charge me. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Both my husband and I had tooth abstractions. Dr. Zerivitz was so nice and gentle. He and ALL his staff make you feel so comfortable and at ease!!!!! Both my husband and I had an extremely positive experience and we both feel it to be total opposite of any other dental experience that either one of us have ever had.
