Following commended service as a dental officer in the United States Army, Dr. McGinnis completed four years of intensive postdoctoral hospital-based surgical residency in comprehensive oral and facial surgery and obtained a Master's degree in Science from OSU.
In addition, Dr. McGinnis regularly attends continuing education programs to stay abreast of the latest techniques, technology and procedural innovations. Dr. McGinnis is certified by the prestigious American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. McGinnisis an active member of - and past presenter for - various professional organizations and volunteers with the Donated Dental Service, United Ministries and Helping Hands programs throughout the state providing care to the underserved. Dr. McGinnis' professional memberships include:
Ginger's experience includes surgical assisting, office management, supervisory duties and administrative duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and records management. Ginger can answer most surgical questions, as well as other practice inquiries.
Babs and Casey are our surgical assistants. They, along with Ginger, are certified in dental radiology,Basic Life Support (BLS), and by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) as an anesthesia assistant.
Our entire staff is enrolled in continuing education classes to provide the latest in a sterile and safe environment, as well as to stay abreast of the newest developments in the area of oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral implantology.

My 16 year old had his wisdom teeth removed this week. The doctor and nurses made him feel relaxed and he has had minimal pain afterward! Absolutely recommend!

They scheduled me a consultation at 2pm. Told me to be there 30min early to fill out paper work. I showed up at 1:20pm to find out they have lunch from 1-2 and no one is in the building. Very frustrating, that I had to sit around and wait for them when I arrived the time they told me to.

I had two wisdom teeth removed here in February 2016. It was very quick and relatively easy. My gums did not need to be incised to remove my wisdom teeth on the right side. I was in and out in about 30-40 minutes. I gather the time for me to become unconscious took longer than the actual extraction. I had zero problems with healing. Dr. McGinnis is reserved, but he knows his stuff! Staff are very courteous and considerate. I had a consultation on a Monday (02/22/2016), and the same week on Thursday (02/25/2016) had my extraction early in the morning. I had zero problems healing, and I'm happy I came to Dr. McGinnis.
