Clinical dentistry comes natural to her because ever since a child, she excelled at working with her hands, and her fine motor skills still prove to be an invaluable asset especially in treating all the complex root canal cases.She is originally from Seoul, Korea, but grew up in New York City. She obtained bachelors degrees in English/general literature and biology and a masters degree in molecular biology before attending New York University College of Dentistry. After graduating, she joined a group practice in Sun City, Arizona, but eventually moved to Washington in 2003. While working as an associate dentist, she set up the start-up Sammamish dental practice for her husband to run. She is certified in conscious sedation, as well as in advanced cardiovascular life support. Over the years, she has also completed over 350 hours in continuing dental education with a strong focus in root canal treatments.She believes that the most important aspect of dentistry, or anything for that matter, is quality and integrity, and striving to treat everyone as you would like to be treated. Currently, she lives in Bellevue with her husband and her two boys, Matthew and David. When shes not doing dentistry, she helps run the business end of their dental practice while taking care of her kids. For leisure, she loves reading, crocheting, knitting, cooking, and enjoying life with her family.

Had a broken crown and walked out of the dentist office with a new temporary less than 3 hours later. 5 days later had a new permanent put in. The atmosphere is just incredible - wonderful people, very relaxing overall. Almost fell asleep, it was so good. Felt more like a trip to a spa than a visit to the dentist. I will forever love this place now. A++

Dr MacInnes has been my family dentist for over 10 years now and I am greatly appreciative of the care that they provided. They will always diagnose the issue correctly and give me the options for treatment and also suggest the best option. They don't hesitate to refer me to other specialists when needed. Overall, it has been a great experience.

I've been going here since I was a kid, and honestly this is the only dentist I'll ever want to go to. Their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they do an amazing job. They genuinely care about you and your well-being and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared for.

Our family has had an outstanding experience at this office. The front office is polite and very well run, with appointments always starting on time. Dental care is always gentle and thorough, with extra care taken to ensure that the kids always have a positive experience. The office has always been very accommodating and seen us right away if any issues or pain arise. They make us love going to the dentist!

Great service. Cozy lobby, clean and modern equipment and office space. Hadn't been to dentist in 5 years and was expecting some pain, BUT my hygienist was deft, careful, friendly and efficient. No pain. Dr. MacInnes was very friendly and thorough too. Great experience

I have been to multiple dentist over last decade but I'm very happy that I have decided to do my implants here. Doctor Michael was very humble and courteous. He explained all the process upfront with due diligence to details. Staff was super helpful and polite. Helped me to plan my procedures according to my dental plan and suggested good options. I will recommend his office and services for all my family and friends in the area.
