Our Houston, TX general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Michael Macaluso, provides his dental patients of all ages comprehensive dental services. He is a highly trained dentist who has been in private practice (Michael A. Macaluso, D.D.S., PC) since the early 1980s. With nearly four decades of experience in dentistry, Dr. Macaluso is one of the leading dentists in the Houston, TX area. He offers preventive, cosmetic, restorative, and periodontal services, such as fillings, crowns, custom-made night guards, partials, and periodontic treatments.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Macaluso enjoys being with his family and extended family and all their activities. His hobbies include golf and Texas History with a particular interest in the Texas Revolution.
Dr. Macaluso began his formal education at the University of Texas in Austin, TX where he graduated with honors and a bachelor's degree in biology in 1977. He then pursued his dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science in Houston, TX where he graduated with a doctor of dental surgery degree in 1980. Dr. Macaluso completed a general practice residency in hospital dentistry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL in 1981.
Our office manager, Shauna, has worked at Michael Macaluso, D.D.S., PC since 2003. She feels like our patients are an extension of her family and loves talking to them every day. In her spare time, Shauna enjoys spending it with her family, watching her two sons play baseball, and going camping.
Our diligent schedule manager, Yolanda, started her career 25 years ago as a licensed dental assistant. After many years, she transferred to our front office. She loves talking to all our patients. In her spare time, Yolanda can be found enjoying a workout with her co-workers or spending time with her husband, son(Cross), and their little dachshund (Chloe).
Jenepher joined the Michael Macaluso, D.D.S., PCteam in 2004 as a licensed dental assistant. Building lasting relationships with our patients over her many years gives Jenepher a sense of pride. In her spare time, she is usually somewhere on a patio with her two adorable pugs or working in her yard.
In 2005, Elizabeth became a licensed dental assistant. She has worked in the field of dentistry for many years and then joined our team in 2014. Elizabeth loves her family and spending quality time with her son and two daughters. If you want to strike up a conversation, ask her about the latest Dallas Cowboys season or what she likes about working out.
Jessica also began her career in dentistry in 2005 by working in all areas of the dental office. She finally decided that dental hygiene was the career path for her. Jessica graduated from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, TX and joined Dr. Macaluso's team in 2017. Her passion and dedication to her patients' needs are evident through her attention to detail and commitment to excellence. During her free time, Jessica adores traveling the world, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Cornelia is proud to be a member of Dr. Macalusos team. As one of our part-time dental hygienists, Cornelia earned her dental hygiene degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 2013. During a dental cleaning, Cornelia is thorough yet gentle, making sure your quality of care and comfort are a top priority. Outside of work, Cornelia enjoys spending time with her husband of 15 years, her son, and their four German shepherds. She loves to travel, working out in the gym, being outdoors, and volunteering at her sons school.
