With 18 years of experience in the Baytown area, Dr. Michael A Hurd is an experienced and compassionate dentist who offers comprehensive, high quality gentle dental care in his state-of-the art practice.
Dr. Michael A Hurd completed his Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of St. Thomas in 1985. And University of Texas Dental Branch in 1991. He is a member of The Baytown Study Club, Greater Houston Dental Society, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Michael A Hurd and his staff are proud of the warm patient-friendly environment they have created and of the lifelong relationships they have built with multi-generational families in the area. Dr. Hurd welcomes patients of all ages and looks forward to meeting you and offering you the professional, caring and pain free oral health care that you deserve.
It is my desire that each patient has a great dental experience and is comfortable every step of the way. Everyone on our team goes above and beyond to get to know each patient. We become connected with their families and enjoy watching their kids grow.
I received my RDH from University of Texas Dental Branch in 2004. I have been in this practice for 2 years. I enjoy the relationship I am able to build with my patients through education and excellent patient care. I strive to provide every patient with a great dental experience along with the tools and knowledge to continue excellent oral care at home. I enjoy practicing with Dr. Hurd because he is confident and provides excellent care for our patients.
I have 22 years dental experience and have 10 years in this practice. I feel fortunate to say that I really like all aspects of my job, especially making our patients feel comfortable. Patient interaction is the number one reason I love my job.

The staff creates a warm, considerate, and professional ambiance. Dr. Hurd generates the same atmosphere. He is very thorough and gentle, using the latest technology to address your situation. Dr. Hurd was my saving grace when I was faced with the huge task of implants and dentures. His on site lab was a lifesaver. Taking great effort, patience, and skills, he provided me with the best care I ever imagined. I was treated like family by all.

I'm very pleased with Dr. Hurd and his staff, as they do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. At the very least there's always one person who greets you kindly, and the staff takes it even further as they get you ready. Dr. Hurd is a good teaching dentist as well, regarding what caused the problem, how he's going to fix it and what to expect. One more thing I almost forgot! Their attention to detail and precautions throughout the covid pandemic has been above and beyond!

During my first visit to Dr. Hurd's office he took a great deal of time to study my problem and gave me the options available to me. He also recommended who he felt was best suited to take care of my problem. I have so much confidence in him and his staff, I plan to use him for future dental care.

I left my first visit from Dr. Hurd's office feeling like I had known the man and his staff for many years. Their warmth and compassion to my personal issues was amazing and I just couldn't recommend a dentist and staff any higher than I do this one.

I have been going to Dr. Hurd since Dr. Kelly retired and he took over his practice, many years ago. I had been going to Dr. Kelly so long, I thought OH NO, should I change to another dentist I know or give Dr. Hurd a try?Now 15+ yrs later, SO HAPPY I did not change dentist! Dr. Hurd is kind and patient plus he explains exactly what he will do to your teeth/gums and how each step will feel to you as he is working in your mouth . He also keeps up with the latest technology. His entire staff is friendly and helpful. Heather, the hygienist is excellent with cleaning & x-rays. Julie, one of his dental assistants pays close attention. If you frown or show signs of stress she will make sure you are ok before proceeding. Marie, works closely with your insurance to get your maximum benefit. They are a great team that shows respect for each other as well as their patients. You will not be disappointed.

Dr.Hurd is the best dentist you and your family will ever go to! He is patient with people, experienced, and talented. Dr. Hurd will treat your teeth in the best way possible! In some cases, he will transfer your smile to a prettier smile with just a filling. All staff members are great, they are friendly, caring, and professional people. The office is the the cleanest place I've ever seen. So you can relax, enjoy, and know for sure you are in the best hands.
