With a B.S. degree from Fordham University conferred in 1978, Dr. Esposito received his D.D.S. degree from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine in 1982. After completing his General Practice Residency at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1983, he became a clinical instructor at the S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine's teaching staff for three years. He and his family then relocated to Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1986, and he assumed the practice of a highly respected local dentist.

In 2000 Dr. Esposito was awarded a Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy. This prestigious award is held by less than 3% of U.S. dentists and by their charter grants fellowships to those candidates who have made 'outstanding contributions to the art and science of dentistry or society.'

Cosmetic Dentistry has always been a special interest for Dr. Esposito. In addition to completing numerous continuing education courses taught by leading cosmetic dentists, Dr. Esposito is himself an accomplished author and lecturer. Articles detailing his methods of treatment have been featured in various peer-reviewed dental journals and have met with much acclaim. He has been invited to lecture for cosmetic dentistry seminars and sit in on numerous round table discussions groups for major dental manufacturing companies throughout the country. The office has been the subject of articles in the local newspaper, The Pocono Record. They have covered not only the advanced state of the art equipment, such as digital x-ray equipment, but also new techniques Dr. Esposito uses to provide patient comfort and care.

Professional associations include the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Monroe County Dental Society (past president), The Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. In addition to membership in these organizations, Dr. Esposito also dedicated himself to active participation by serving on the state level committees. He was honored to be asked to sit on the Pennsylvania Dental Association's Council for Dental Therapeutics/Peer Review Committee 1998-2002.

Outside of dentistry, his interests include sailing with his wife Kathy and daughter Elise, photography, aviation, and the NASA space program ... you may be very surprised to see the many personally signed astronaut photographs displayed throughout the office! Dr. Esposito has also volunteered his expertise to the local community and served for over 15 years on the Board of Directors of Laurel Manor Nursing home.

We are certain that you select your health practitioners with careful deliberation. We understand that you are free to choose from a number of qualified dental professionals, and we will attempt to exceed your expectations regarding your dental health care. While this website promotes Mini-Implants, our 6 Month Braces technique, and Periolase laser no cut, no sew, no fear periodontal treatment, you should be aware that our general practice office also offers a wide array of cosmetic, general dental procedures. Everything from exams and cleanings to whitening systems and cosmetic white fillings and crowns. If it results in a beautiful smile, we probably do it!

One of our newest pieces of technology is a Zeiss surgical microscope. Dr. Esposito utilizes this microscope for ALL restorative procedures and obtains magnification impossible to reproduce with the typical eyeglass type magnifiers more commonly in use. This magnification allows unprecedented attention to detail. The results? Well, we prefer our beautiful patient smiles to speak for themselves!

Whether you are a regular patient at our office or simply seek adult orthodontics only, you can expect the same high level of professionalism you require of any health practitioner, namely: that we keep abreast of developments in our field, using modern equipment and current techniques with the highest degree of ability and skill; that you will receive a thorough examination and an accurate diagnosis; that we will explain our findings to you in detail and will set a fair fee for the indicated treatment; that we will not proceed until you agree to both the treatment and the fee; that we will respect your time by making every effort to start treatment on schedule and to complete it in as few visits as possible.

Our belief is that cost should not stand in the way of good dental care. We will make every effort to provide you with a treatment plan that fits your timetable and budget. Our office participates with several high-quality insurance plans such as NCAS, Cigna PPO, and Dentemax/Coalition for America PPO. Of course, we accept credit cards and, if desired, can assist you in procuring variable-length interest-free loans through Care Credit so that you can initiate your treatment and make your desires a reality!

Oh, and our staff is second to none! Maryann, our dental hygienist, has been with the office since 1994, Jodi, Dr. Mikes dental assistant, since 1996 and Christine, the patient coordinator, is a very valuable recent addition. These knowledgeable team members are here to make your visits both efficient and comfortable. In addition, they can provide you with a wealth of information from insurance matters to various dental techniques. Just ask!

Overpriced and Condescending with Unforgiving Office Policies- STAY AWAY I was a patient of Dr. Esposito's for almost five years. I recently decided to leave after some unprofessional and reprehensible treatment from himself and his office staff. The short version is that after never missing an appointment in five years (and not having received any prior confirmation messages), his staff threatened over text to cancel my appointment if I didn't respond within an hour in the middle of a workday. A few weeks later my grandmother passed away and in the following confusion of cleaning out her apartment I missed an appointment. The verbal thrashing I received from himself and his staff over a missed appointment left me in tears. I decided immediately to switch dentists. While searching for another dentist, I received a bill from Dr. Esposito - highly unusual since my insurance covers 100%. He had billed me and each of my children $45 ($135 total) for a 10-second, unasked for demonstration on how to brush your teeth!! These billing practices are obscene and a quick online search (caredash.com) will tell you that Dr. Esposito receives more money than 85% of dentists nationwide. Disgusting! For years I got along well with Dr. Esposito's staff and found the hygienists in his office (except for one, no longer employed there) to be exceptional. Dr. Esposito himself was hit or miss. For most visits, the doctor was with me for less than five minutes, even when I had to discuss upcoming dental repairs or once when I scheduled an emergency visit for a terrible pain that occurred whenever I tried to open my mouth nor than a centimeter or so. When I did see the dentist, I found his demeanor often to be condescending. He lectured, rather than advised. He pressured me to schedule procedures after I had used up my insurance for the year and condemned me for waiting three months for the new year to begin. I had a check-up scheduled in February. The day before my appointment I received a text from their office: "Please let me know if you are keeping your appointment for tomorrow. If I don't hear from you within the next hour I am going to cancel your appointment."(!) I was stunned. I had not even been asked to confirm my appointment through the automated system yet. I had never missed an appointment with Dr. Esposito. Neither had my husband or my daughters who visited him regularly. I expressed that I was upset. They said that's just how they do things, and so I checked the box that said I did not want to be contacted through text anymore. Shortly after that I missed my daughter's scheduled appointment and was charged a $50 missed appointment fee. My family had spent the weekend cleaning out my recently deceased grandmother's apartment and the Monday morning appointment slipped my mind. The lecture I received from him the moment I walked in the door was insulting and demeaning. I asked why I hadn't received a call, as I had in the past. The receptionist told me they just didn't have time for that anymore. I showed Dr. Esposito that I received many reminders from doctor's office, but never a one-hour deadline. He callously and condescendingly replied that he "didn't care how busy my schedule was (no sympathy or understanding for my just-dead grandma), that I needed to be a grown-up." I was horrified and humiliated. I am an educated woman who both manages a family and works a full-time job. I am intelligent, competent, and generally articulate. Sitting in the chair, feeling vulnerable with my feet off the ground and the dentist looming over me I began to cry, quite against my will. I should have used my better judgment much earlier on with Dr. Esposito. In the last few months I used his office he rescheduled my appointment at his convenience twice and stretched at least two different procedures into multiple appointments when he initially claimed they would only take one visit. His terrible manners were the final straw. Never have I been so humiliated by a medical professional. If you're looking for a dentist, choose anyone else.

Had a terrific visit for me and my son, Lisa was incredibly helpful with my insurance and the staff was very nice and informative. Covid has really changed things and they are extremely careful with observing all the health safety parameters. It was nice to see they are still observing the wait in your car till we call you in policy as well as electronic submission of all forms etc. Very efficient. I and my family will be back to see Dr. Esposito soon. Thanks!

I've been going to Doctor Esposito for as long as I can remember. The staff are friendly, helpful, patient, and down-to-earth. The Office is clean & tidy. All care is considered in regard to safety- And that's super important to me, seeing as how we are in the midst of a pandemic. The doc is an experienced professional with sincere enthusiasm for dentistry. He always keeps up with the latest cutting-edge technologies: Back in the 90's, his Office achieved the distinction of operating the first Computed Dental Radiography system in Monroe County. Some people fear going to the dentist - You won't fear Dr. Mike Highly recommended!

Just started going to this dentist because it's one of the few places that accept my insurance. Dr. Esposito seems friendly and knowledgeable and his receptionist is very, very nice and helpful. The hygienist, however is extremely rude and nasty. Both of my kids came out of that office complaining about the rude comments and treatment. If you have any cavities or she doesn't like the way your teeth look, she goes out of her way to make you feel bad, then when she calls the parents back into the room, she tries to act professional but you can see the look of disgusted when she talks about the patient. She definitely should not be working on children
