Doctor Michael Chapman is a General Dentist focusing on patient oral health and comprehensive wellness. As a dentist who believes strongly in the relationship between the mouth and the body, Dr. Chapman will ensure your personal and oral health concerns are completely addressed. Family oriented with three young daughters of his own, Dr. Chapman enjoys treating children of all ages, adults and seniors.

BackgroundDoctor Chapman received his doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland. Dr. Chapman went on to serve four years in the United States Army Dental Corps, including a deployment to Iraq in 2007. Stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Dr. Chapman proudly treated the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division. After returning to the Pittsburgh area, Dr. Chapman worked as an associate dentist for over a year before striking out on his own in Lower Burrell. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree as a double major in Molecular Biology and Psychology at nearby Grove City College.
Personal InformationA western Pennsylvania native, Dr. Chapman grew up in Seneca, PA, located in Venango County. The pride and joy of his life is his family. Dr. Chapman has been married over 15 years and has three beautiful daughters. He enjoys all manner of activities including hunting, reading, crosswords, computers and sports, especially the Pirates and Penguins.
Continuing EducationDr. Chapmans commitment to excellence is evidenced by his enthusiasm for continuing education. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Chapman belongs to the Pittsburgh East Suburban Study Club, a branch of the Seattle Study Club which is one of the most comprehensive and progressive clubs in general and comprehensive dentistry. During his service in the Army he attended advanced courses in oral surgery, oral pathology and diagnosis, and advanced aesthetics. He regularly attends dental courses sponsored by local specialists as well as by the American Dental Association.
Dr Phil Losco joined our practice in June of 2017. Dr Losco attended the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry 1981 and then his Dental degree in 1985. He maintained private practices in both his hometown of Blairsville and also Delmont PA. Dr Losco joined Dr. Chapman to continue in the profession he loves while transitioning away from full time practice. Dr Losco lives in Blairsville with his wife Jean. He is now able to pursue his hobbies of boating, motorcycles, and travel.
Valerie was born and raised in Arnold, PA. She currently resides in Markle, PA with her husband and 2 children. Val enjoys her job within the practice and strives to provide excellent customer service to all the patients. Meticulous and thorough, Valerie can assist you with nearly any insurance or billing question. She enjoys playing all types of games and anything Pirates or NFL related.
Lori is a 1991 Hygiene graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She has been providing outstanding care to her patients for more than 26 years with knowledge, expertise, and a gentle hand to make your experience with our office great. Lori resides in the Burrell community with her family. She enjoys all outdoor activities and travel.
Kris is a 1988 Hygiene graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She has over 25 years of experience as a Hygienist. Kris resides in the Freeport area with her husband and their 3 children.
Kaitlyn is a 2015Hygiene graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. In her free time, Kaitlyn volunteers with a local guinea pig rescue. Kaitlyn has always lived in the Kiski-Valley area and still lives within the community with her husband Jacob and their cats, rabbits, ferrets and guinea pigs!
Patty has an astounding 28 years of chairside and front office experience. While her skills are outstanding, what sets Patty apart is her attention to the comfort and safety of her patients. Patty can reassure even the most nervous of patients and her empathetic demeanor ensures youll feel at ease no matter the procedure.
Holly joined Dr Chapmans dental team in the summer of 2013. Holly attended Career Training Academy and graduated in 1995, then returned for a refresher course in 2015 to take her Expanded Function Dental Assistant License exam. She is proud to be a part of our team of dedicated, friendly staff. Holly likes to spend time with her family, reading, cooking, and all things Disney related.
Kayla joined Dr Chapmans team in September 2015. Kayla graduated from Career Training Academy in 2004 and worked as a dental assistant for 10 years. She then transitioned to front office duties in 2015. Kayla enjoys all aspects of working within a dental office whether it be chairside, on the computer, or in the lab, each day is different. Kayla enjoys road trips and trying new things with her family, reading, and updating the new home they purchased last year.
Diedra has been practicing Dental Hygiene for fourteen years. Her favorite aspect of her career is developing relationships with her patients and helping them to maintain their best possible smile! In her free time, she enjoys spoiling her granddaughter and spending time with her family. She looks forward to annual trips to the beach and Walt Disney World. Diedra joined the practice in August 2021 and is proud to be a part of such a caring, professional team.

I wanted to thank everyone at the office, especially Dr. Matteotti. From start to finish it was around 2 1/2 months to fix my issues. In that time I was miserable and he stayed patient. Unbelievable since I didn't even want to be around myself. Today I feel great, like myself again THANKS .

Just moved to the area from out of state and broke a tooth 2 weeks after getting here. I was very apprehensive about finding a new Dentist. I have seen Dr. Chapman and Dr. Lasco. They are both great! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this practice 100 %.

Been going to Dr. Chapman for years. Last year he completely updated the whole building with the latest tech and procedures. Awesome experience, from Val, Katie and Lori. Schedule your next appt from the procedure chair, x-rays in place.

This was my first visit to Dr. Chapman's practice. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. They scheduled appointment immediately due to my problem. Dr. Losco made me feel very comfortable with his witty charm and is fixing my tooth. Definitely my choice for all future appointments.

I've had many terrifying experiences at every single dentist I've ever had... but not at Dr. Chapman's! It's very modern and high tech, open yet private and they are very accommodating and thorough. It is everything you could ever ask for and then some! I look forward to my visits. The staff is wonderful and comforting. I was actually complimented on how well I took care of my teeth, which gave me the confidence to continue doing so (especially during this time of hiding them behind a mask ). It's very important to take care of your teeth and mouth health and they encourage you and make you really want to maintain that upkeep. I have referred so many of my friends and family to Dr. Chapman because the overall experience was a breath of fresh mint air!!

Dr. Chapman and his staff are all well-trained, professional and extremely friendly. After my appointments, I always leave the office satisfied that I have received excellent service and confidence that I have received the best care and instructions on how to manage my dental needs. I have never had the desire to switch Dentists because of the wonderful care I receive from Dr. Chapman and the staff... top notch!
