Dr. Marc Heiden grew up and attended school in Florence prior to completing an undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston and his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at The Medical University of South Carolina. He is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association.

WALKING AWAY WITH A SMILE Newest Edit: A man who rises and who rights what has been conceived as wrong, no matter the circumstance, is a man who I can say I trust and put faith in. A return visit to the office was frustrating, yes, but Dr.Marc took the time "in the chair" to correct what to me was a mistake. After speaking, he relates that 1) he didn't realize the importance of the issue to me at the time 2) there was miscommunication in the words and meaning of them relating to the "time in my chair comment" 3) his biggest concern is the satisfaction of his clients. I didn't delete the whole post because I feel it is important to see that Dr.Marc reached out immediately, and that my words in the frustration of the moment may have been (okay, probably were) more dramatic than necessary. Also, please look at my imperfectly perfect SMILE below. All the statistics in the world can't measure the warmth of a smile." - Chris Hart Edited to add: To be determined and updated. Dr.Marc called and spoke with me about the experience. Although we disagree about the way things were said, he is making an effort to fix the partial he should've fixed previously. I do not believe his intention was harmful, but words once spoken are difficult to retrieve and to correct the harm they have caused. I believe he is an honest man and is attempting to correct his words and lack of action earlier. This means that today I will have to make a second trip to Florence, make plans for childcare, and wait...when it all should have been done previously. Even correcting misplaced words causes a butterfly effect. BAD TASTE LEFT IN MY MOUTH TODAY BY DR.MARC HEIDEN All was well with the four appointments I made for our family- yes, I take my entire family there and have for years, until...after my cleaning. When Dr.Heiden assessed my mouth, there are several cavities that need filling. I'm not sure if it is because of surgeries I've had, age, or dry mouth from medications, but the smile that has been one of my greatest senses of pride needs work, and a lot of it. As it is, I have to take an anti-anxiety medication to simply step into a dentist office. So,, I asked Marc if he could fill as many cavities as possible. He said he would do one, maybe two, but he wasn't going to "waste time in his chair all morning" on me. He also FAILED to fit a partial that I ordered from him in his office. He said "it would take too much time," and now I am left without a Christmas smile because he is too busy, perhaps too busy making tiktoks or whatever it is that is more important than a client he has known for years. This Christmas I will not be smiling and it's because Marc Heiden just doesn't have the time to do what is right or care for patients who don't fit into whatever category he prefers to cater to. Is he running an in and out, McDonald's style dentistry so he can make more money instead of caring for the patients who have been loyal to him?

This was the most pleasant and caring experience I've ever had with a dentist and his warm and charming staff. I'm so thrilled that I chose Dr. Heiden as my new dentist. They deserve 10 STARS

Everyone that I came in contact with in the office were so sweet and thoughtful. Dr Heiden especially made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Definitely my favorite dentist of all time!!

No issues at all, my wife has no tolerance to pain. This team is great. They made her feel comfortable they took care of everything in no time. Their office is well maintained, updated and very clean. Dr. Heiden is on point very professional and his team is outstanding.

I've recently moved to Florence and finding a dentist was a high priority need. I was fortunate to select Dr. Marc Heiden and his fine team. I am retired but in my career I did a lot of purchasing. I have dealt with hundreds of companies, product and service providers. I have dealt with the best, but none better than this team. I have a saying about businesses, "You begin to win the war at the door." These folks do from the FIRST phone call to them, the initial exam, cleaning and then the filling today....every step I found friendly and professional service. Excellence is never an accident, it takes work and dedication. This team is a shining example of both. Well, none us want to have a filling, but watching Deborah and Marc coordinate together during mine today was very impressive. NASCAR pit crews could learn a thing from these two. Five stars is not enough!

Dr. Marc is the BEST! Not only is he a great dentist, he is always so kind and caring. His staff is always so polite and helpful! If you are looking for a dentist and want the BEST, give them a call!

Finding Dr. Marc over 5 years ago was by pure luck through the Yellow Pages when I needed a new dentist. It was the best luck I could have had! Dr. Marc and his staff make going to the dentist an easy process and not a "chore" or appointment of fear. I am thankful for him, and also his wonderful staff, as they have always been available and willing to help when needed. He gives back to his community ten-fold and you can't ask for an office with a better character reputation.

I use to hate going to the dentist now I get upset when I don't have a cavity at my checkup. Marc and his staff treat me like family they haven't seen in awhile. He really is a great dentist that cares for his patients.

Dr. Heiden is the best. He has come to the rescue twice for my family's dental emergencies, and is a skilled, kind, and helpful dentist. His staff is super sweet (and fun!), too. My daughter chipped her front tooth a couple of years ago...he did such a great job repairing it that sometimes I forget it ever happened! Thanks, Dr Heiden!
