Extensively trained at some of the most prestigious dental institutions, Dr. Manuel Ohannessian strives to elevate dentistry beyond the typical experience. He began his career at the Lebanese University, School of Sciences in 1988, where he received his undergraduate diploma in Biology. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Lebanese University, School of Dentistry in 1995. Following graduation, Dr. Ohannessian completed his residency at the Abu Jawdee Hospital, where he was assisting in protecting and correcting the smile and the dental health, after a reconstruction surgeries due to trauma or cancer. Dr. Ohannessian continue his full one-year education program in the Advanced Studies in Basic Fundamental Sciences at the St. Joseph University School of Dentistry, where he continues in the Science of Immunology and Genetics.
Dedicated to continuing education, Dr. Ohannessian has undertaken several advanced post-graduate courses in a variety of dental fields, including a Diploma in Oral Diagnosis and Pathology and a Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Lebanese University School of Dentistry (not accredited in U.S.)
Dr. Ohannessian is constantly attending conventions, lectures, courses, study clubs and numerous seminars covering a wide array of topics; ranging from endodontics, cosmetics to implant dentistry and surgeries. He believes that continuing education is an essential part of doing modern dentistry.
Dr. Ohannessian states: My love for dentistry stems from a desire to build confidence in my patients by giving them a reason to smile. Being able to positively influence their smile gives me personal gratification; while improving their oral and overall health gives me professional satisfaction. His motto is to keep your teeth and gums healthy for life.
When he is not in the office, Dr.Ohannessian enjoys a wide range of activities, such as going on outdoor adventures like hiking ,kayaking and camping with his wife and four children; participating in many sports: skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, rappelling and enjoys trying new foods and traveling, and he takes part in many community events.

This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very professional examining and providing with periodontal maintenence and they did a great job, kind to me.

Dr. O is a great doctor that I had for a while until new doctor dentist they have and my now new doctor dentist is a young lady Dr. Leon, she does a great job and explain things of what need to be done, front desk lady Lupe is great and friendly, and the assistance of the doctor dentist are great too, this is the best dentist I been going to for a while, theirs no other better dentist place than this one.

I received excellent and very professional care from everyone. I was greeted by very friendly and professional staff during my visit. Dr. explained the procedure clearly and calmly which made me feel much more relaxed. Always made sure I was comfortable and that l understood every step.

Do not go to this place!!! I left this place needing a root canal in one of my teeth. So one of my friends recommended this place and told me that they would accept our insurance. Well I make an appointment and the secretary says they do upon check in (mind you any medical practice you have been to they always check benefits before service). Dr Chung goes over my cleaning and then informs me that I have a crack in my filling, EVEN though I HAD NO PAIN. If I did have a crack in one of my fillings why did they not tell me that they just would monitor the crack since I have no pain. I checked the X-Ray by another dentist and they said they could NOT see a crack in the filling. So this was clear that this dentist was experimenting with my teeth and trying to get insurance money. When the anesthesia wore off I ate something and felt the worst pain ever. It did not go away for over a month and to this day I still have pain. Went to another dentist and they claimed that MGO dental drilled too close to the pulp of my tooth. Dr Chung never explained to me what the potential outcomes could be to replace a deep filling. Guess what? Dr Chung continues to want me to come in so he can re-due the filling. This cannot be done because he drilled too close to the pulp and it would exacerbate the need for the root canal. Last but not least, so I get a bill for $400 in the mail saying that I owe them because they do not accept my insurance. WOW! So I call the secretary and she gets smart with me and says I am supposed to know if they would have accepted my insurance. Please stay away from this practice. Bad all around. I almost feel like Dr Chung wanted to intensionally drill deep into my filling so he could try some procedure that he learned in school that will fix my tooth. STAY AWAY!

The dental assistant who showed up late, was extremely rude and told me I would not be seen by the doctor unless I signed a form stating I agreed to treatment changes before I was even examined. I would not reccomend this office. I was told to sign papers that I recieved the state mandated notice of materials and privacy practices before I was provided those documents. SHADY! The more mature woman who arrived on time was very kind. I wish I had been able to speak with her.

The visit was smooth on time and efficient. MGO DENTAL is a wonderful provider. Dr. is professional, knowledgeable and kind. A great combination. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered. Thank you for being an excellent caregiver.

Great experience as always for the entire family! The extended weekend hours are perfect and allow all of us to come at one time. Easy to schedule follow up appointments for family members as needed. Many years later this is still our dental practice of choice. Great assistance with special needs. Love the friendly staff.

Absolutely awesome service. I had a crown that broke and they squeezed me in the schedule that day. The staff was very professional and friendly. The dentist was AMAZING. He was caring and thorough and did an excellent job.

Had to get my wisdoms removed and it was potentially pretty risk Dr. Ohannessian is an awesome guy. He took his time with me, since I have bad anxiety, explained everything in a calm tone and helped me get through the surgery safely and efficiently. He is very knowledgeable of many different kinds of scamerios. I thank him so much for relieving my pain and being an awesome dentist. Even the rest of the staff is calm, nice and patient. Will stay at this dentist till I move out of Cali!

Worst dental office I ever came to! I came to this place all happy left all livid. Had an appt certain time didnt go in for 2hrs. The medical assistant dont even know how to do xrays hurting my teeth had another person to help her. Dont forget the dentist dr is very unprofessional. He made me think my teeth were very bad like he didnt work on my mouth that why I came to you to fix it. By the way all the stuff you said I needed was wrong Went to another dentist was not even that bad as you made it seem. This office is not good try a different one. F- by the way they act high maintenance office when it's in bad area. Get humble.
