I earned my degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, in San Francisco, California. As a National Health Corps Scholar, I moved to Southern Oregon to work in public health for 3 years. After that, I opened my own practice in Talent, Oregon. Unfortunately, the Almeda Fire destroyed my practice on September 8th, 2020. We moved here to South Lake Tahoe where we can continue our love of being in nature.
I believe in patient-doctor relationships that are based on compassion, honesty, and trust. I aim to alleviate pain, and help patients set and achieve oral health goals. Knowing that oral health is the key to overall well-being, my mission is to be a wellness partner for my patients.

Our goal is to maintain and or improve the oral health of you and your family. To keep your smile bright we offer a wide range of services, from routine cleanings to complex dental treatments, for patients of all ages.
You are never too young or too old to get your teeth carefully examined and sparkling clean. Our hygienists will record the details of your oral health, gently clean your teeth, and review your chart with the doctor. After Dr. Nguyen does his own assessment, he will review any areas for concern, and then plan to see you in 6 months for your next cleaning. If you need other dental treatments, the doctor will discuss the options with you and make a plan that fits your schedule.
Most adults are familiar with getting a cavity filled. When it is time to take out the tooth decay and insert a durable filling, we want to ensure that you are calm and comfortable during your dental procedure. Our new technology makes Dental Fillings swift and painless.
A sticky film of bacteria known as plague can build up on your teeth and harden into tartar leading to sore, bleeding gums; painful chewing problems; and even tooth loss. Smoking is the most significant risk factor for gum disease but it can also be related to hormonal changes, diabetes, medications, and genetic susceptibility. Periodontal (gum) Care by our dental hygienists removes the tartar and is the first step to renewing your oral health. Schedule your exam today!
When you lose all or part of a permanent tooth we can replace it with a dental Crown or Bridge. The new tooth will be matched to your personal pearly shade and will be molded to fit your bite perfectly. Your smile will be restored and eating will be more comfortable.
We create dentures that look natural, feel comfortable, and are easy to live with. Dentures not only improve your appearance, but they can also improve your health and well-being. Youll be able to eat more easily and smile more readily when you have your new full or partial Dentures.
A root canal can actually preserve your tooth! The process is very similar to a dental filling, however the soft interior tissue called pulp beneath the white enamel and the hard dentin is completely removed. The fully developed tooth is able to remain supported by the tissues surrounding it. By saving the natural tooth you retain a natural appearance and normal biting force and sensation. This procedure can usually be completed in one or two visits depending on your circumstances.
Accidents happen and so do tooth aches. Anytime you have a dental emergency call our office and we will make arrangements for you to be seen as soon as possible. There is no need to suffer from unexpected dental problems. Walk-ins are welcome during office hours, call us at (530)577-8080 and let us know you are coming so we can serve you best.
