Dr. Matt Murphy is originally from Eagan, Minnesota. After graduating from high school, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Murphy earned his DDS from Creighton University School of Dentistry.
During dental school, Dr. Murphy volunteered with a number of programs to bring healthy smiles to those in need. He was involved in programs like Building Healthy Smiles and the High School Explorer Program, where he provided dental screenings and education to school-aged kids.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Murphy and his wife, Meghan, made the decision to move to Colorado, where she was born and raised. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and all that Colorado has to offer. He and Meghan are avid campers, and enjoy finding new hiking trails. Although now a permanent resident of Colorado, Dr. Murphy is a big Minnesota sports fan specifically the Minnesota Wild!

I've avoided writing a review because I understand my experience is biased. It started with getting frequent texts asking me to drop everything to come in within an hour to 4 hours for an appointment cancellation. It's not really my style; I would have preferred asking me when a good time to schedule an appointment would be. No big deal. Here's where the truly unprofessional portion starts. Two months later and 9 months after my original visit, I receive a call that states my insurance has never been billed and now I am responsible for the balance and I will be informed by the end of the day? Why wasn't this handled or a conversation within even 30 days of the completed work? I switched insurance companies 4 months after my service and do not have access to any previous claim information. This place lacks professionalism and apparently competency.

The personalization of the staff, and specifically the Hygenist and Dentist is truly what brings me back to this office for my Dental health! You all are doing a great job!

Be careful! One visit to Blankenburg when I had a tooth infection. He showed me pics of my teeth and said I needed FIVE crowns, one cavity filled and braces! He never mentioned the tooth I made the appt to discuss! The office staff is delightful but their hygenist is inept and Blankenburg is dangerous.

By far the best practice I've ever encountered simply due to their patient-first culture. Your long-term care plan is top of mind from the first visit and they go above and beyond to ensure the utmost comfort throughout every procedure while setting clear expectations on price before anything major. Don't think twice and choose Meyer even if you have to drive a little further. You'll feel like a part of the family just like I do!

The whole team at Meyer Dental took amazing care of my teeth today! It was my first cleaning in YEARS and I was a little nervous to what all they were going to find. Shanna (my hygienist) did a great job at removing the guilt and shame with my teeth and just simply educated me on what was currently existing and why and how we could address any areas of concern. Ashley took all my X-rays that I needed and it was a great experience! She talked me through how it would feel and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Dr. Blankenburg has great energy and really works so well with his whole team, you can really tell they enjoy doing what they do. The whole team really reassures you with education and confidence so you leave having a good understanding on what all is going on with your own oral health. Such a fantastic patient experience, I trust the team here with my (and all my friends and families') teeth!

Going to the dentist has always been a very anxiety-provoking experience. I appreciate Meyer Dental for making me feel comfortable, explaining everything to me, being upfront and honest about costs/procedures, and taking excellent care of my teeth. They really are all so kind.

Kiara, dental hygienist, took her time with me and answered my questions thoroughly then the dentist, met with me and the dental hygienist and discussed with me (not about me) a plan for my dental needs. They were respectful and professional as well as caring.
