Dr. Thakkar received his bachelors degree in Computer Science from Chicago, Illinois in 2005. He then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored to serve the veterans at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine. He graduated from dental school in 2009 and had an opportunity to help the underserved population in the south of Chicago for two years. He finally deiced to move to Texas in 2011 because he fell in love with the warm weather and warm-hearted people of Texas.
Dr. Thakkar has been practicing dentistry for over seven years and is committed to keeping up with the latest advances in modern dentistry. He completes many times the required number of continuing education hours every year. He genuinely believes every patient should be treated as one of his family members. He is passionate about dentistry and loves helping his patients improve their smiles and quality of life. Dr. Thakkar is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Texas Dental Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Yash when he is away from doing dentistry.

My daughter's face is swollen to the point of a black eye and the dentist says that it's not infected. I will be going for a second opinion in the morning. They will definitely hear once I confirm that it is indeed infected. No Star. I had to give a 1 to post.

Friendly service and staff. Very fast and efficient as well. I received a call to reschedule my son for his appointment; I thought the gesture was nice, since I tend to forget about calling back to reschedule missed appointments. Greatly appreciate the staff and their time, will definitely keep taking my little one back for his checkups.

The visit itself was really good. Staff was great. The reason for my visit and the follow ups were not the best. To find out work I had done previously wasn't done correctly and and that is the reason for todays visit did not sit well with me. My insurance is all ready maxed out so the have the work corrected is going to be straight out of pocket.

I was pretty leary about going to this dentist office after reading what quite a few of the reviews said... after my visit I have come to the conclusion that the negative reviews were just pill seekers that didn't get what they wanted... From the moment I walked in the door until the time my visit was complete.. every single person I encountered was absolutly amazing !!! From the girls @ the front desk too the dentist & all others were wonderful & I can't thank y'all enough for being so kind & caring & I'm looking 4ward to my visits in the future ... I highly recommend Mexia Dental ... they didn't give me the option of 10 stars or thats what I would've given them :)
