Metropolitan Endodontics followed Governor Ralph Northam, Dr. Norm Oliver, Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Health executive order and the ADAs recommendations, and closed our office and limited our care to emergency and urgent cases.
We continue to stay fully committed to our community, and we will continue to do our part to control hospital emergency room traffic by treating dental emergencies here. As we are re-opening our doors, we continue to follow all guidelines to better serve our patients, community and staff. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
We have always followed and continue to follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies recommendations.

We understand that scheduling a dental visit can be a taxing task for many people. The last thing we want is to pile on additional stress by giving you vague answers about dental insurance coverage, not helping you feel comfortable, and, most importantly, making you have to hunt for a parking spot in the middle of Tysons. We have ample on-site parking so you dont have to become on-edge looking for a parking space before you even enter our office.
'Since the age of 5, I wanted to be a doctor and help people. In college, I had two best friends who wanted to go to dental school, so I started volunteering for my dentist at the time and became very interested in the field of endodontics. This led me to start applying to dental school in hopes of becoming an endodontist.
Dr. Shambayati completed her undergraduate education at George Mason University, and then she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University. She continued her education at Stony Brook University and obtained a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She went on to complete a 2-year post-graduate program in endodontics at Stony Brook University and received her certificate in 2003.
Dr. Shambayati is committed to ongoing education in order to keep up to date with the latest advancements in endodontics, which is why she is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Dr. Shambayati comes from a large family, so a lot of her free time is spent with her sisters, nieces, and nephews. She also likes to take road trips with her son to explore our beautiful country, particularly the scenic bridges and roads. Dr. Shambayati is involved in her sons school and enjoys volunteering at his school. She is a big soccer and hockey fan, so at home, youll often find her cheering on her beloved Washington Capitals.
With over 23 years of experience both clinically and administratively, Traci is here to make sure your time at Metropolitan Endodontics is both efficient and productive. For her, helping people get exactly what they need is her primary goal every day. Traci has worked with Dr. Shambayati for over 17 years to be sure that goal is met. Traci is married with two children and does a lot of philanthropic work with The Epilepsy Foundation and Childrens National Hospital. She also likes to travel and experience different cultures through their food.
Manisha has been with our practice since 2016, and she actually attended school in Nepal before graduating from the Metropolitan Institute of Health and Technology. Today, she is certified in dental radiology, infection control, CPR, and HIPAA. She and her husband Sunil have a young son, and when she isnt at the office, she likes to relax by cooking and dancing (often at the same time!).
