Dr. Caitlin S. Hulver, DDS takes great pride in the quality of her work and is passionate about giving her patients a confident smile, be it through preventative, restorative or cosmetic dentistry. She strives to make dental visits both comfortable, and enjoyable for her patients. Her primary goal is providing patients with the highest quality dentistry, but also getting to know them and treating them as people.
Dr. Hulver is a proud native of West Virginia, born and raised in Beckley, WV. She attended Marshall University and Virginia Commonwealth University for her undergraduate studies, then returned to her home state to attend the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in Morgantown. At WVU she earned several awards and scholarships for achievements in academics and for her clinical skills. Following graduation she completed a residency in general dentistry at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
She has practiced in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, the heart of Washington DC and now Northern Virginia. Throughout practice she has continued to expand her clinical skills both through patient care and with various continuing education courses. Her advanced training includes, but is not limited to: Invisalign, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, oral conscious sedation, sleep apnea treatment, and endodontics (root canals).
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hulver loves to spend time with her husband Richard, their son, and their pug, Duke. She enjoys cooking, camping, going to concerts, and discovering all that Northern Virginia and DC have to offer!
Allison is the bright, smiling face when you walk through the door - or the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. She has been with Metropolitan Dental Centre for over 7 years, evolving from a dental assistant into our Front Office Coordinator. She takes handles all reception duties, scheduling, office management, insurance claims and more. We would be lost without her!

Just stopped in for my Semi-Annual Dental cleaning and check-up. Great news! Everything is perfect again with no cavities due to the exceptional and very caring dental service I always receive from Dr Hulver and her very profession staff at Metropolitan Dental Center. Absolutely wonderful. I was a new patient in a new town with my first cavity so I was pretty nervous going in. Everyone at the dentistry is incredibly friendly and welcoming and I immediately felt at ease. Procedure was quick and easy and they made sure to let me know what was going on at all times. Communication here is very good and I never felt confused whether it was during appointment set-up or while working on my teeth. Very very nice dentistry.

Dr. Hulver and the team at Metropolitan Dental Centre make it fun to go to the dentist. My husband and kids agree. They are just great people who are great at what they do. Special shout out to Allison at the front desk. You are amazing. In addition to going to Dr. Hulver for general maintenance, I recently got Sure Smile aligners to straighten my teeth. Soooooo glad I did. The process has been super easy. Dr Hulver walked me through what to expect and my teeth have never looked better. They use state-of-the-art processes -- digital impressions for those aligners :), and make sure you are comfortable. Thank you team.

Dr. Hoover and Denise took great care of me. I'm 87 and am not easy but they were very patient and kept me comfortable. They are competent and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Holler.
