I would not be able to provide the level of care my patients deserve without my team. They are well trained and have years of experience in making patients comfortable while improving their health. My team listens to patients needs and concerns and offers their full attention during visits.

I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. However, dentistry is a constantly changing field. Research yields new technologies, materials, and techniques, all of which can improve patient care and results. It is my responsibility to stay current on the latest developments and bring the highest quality to the practice.
Continuing education is a vital part of my practice. I always choose coursework that will help me provide the best oral healthcare for my patients, and allowthem to keep their teeth and their healthy smilefor a lifetime. Most recently, I have focused on continuing my education in aesthetic dentistry, dental implants, and Invisalign clear aligners.
Dr. Patel, born and raised in Mumbai, India. Graduated dental school in 2010 from India. She practiced dentistry for 3 years before she moved to the U.S.A to pursue her dreams to study abroad. She achieved her D.M.D in 2020 from the University of Illinois
She loves and enjoys advanced dental care techniques available for her patients. She is multilingual and speaks English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu and enjoys learning Spanish from her own patients.

I have had an amazing service at this dental office. Everyone here is very sweet and have been very caring toward me. Barbra is very sweet and is really great with her cleanings. Dr. Maatouk took care of me and my cavities and is a amazing doctor!

This place is wonderful the staff in front are very helpful in every way Liz is great. Dr Patel listened to all my needs about my teeth.Joanna doc asst. and Doc Patel are the best very fast and efficient . Doc Patel address every issue about my teeth and was truely concerned about my pain (no pain). Metropolitan Dental is the best! Barbara did a fantastic job with my teeth cleaning. She was incredibly friendly and personable. She really made me feel like I was in the best of hands and treated me as family. The staff who assisted me in setting up my next cleaning were also very friendly and helpful.

I had bad experiences in the past and did not go to a dentist until a friend recommended you. I actually enjoy my visits now.

Disappointed. Said they take county care, were happy to do my cleaning, but stated that I needed to pay cash for my crown replacement because county care does not pay out enough. They knew when I came that I was coming for the crown replacement and waited until after everything else to make this known. I asked if I could pay the difference, they said no. I understand that costs have gone up, and maybe medicaid does not payout enough anymore, but you signed an annual contract. It is unfair to expect those who qualify for medicaid... meaning they are currently in financial distress, to fork up 950 cash for a crown replacement that in their contract with the insurance company they stated they would offer. Otherwise I am sure their service is stellar, oer their reviews and their service was great, outside of the fact that they are not abiding by their contract.

I've visited Metropolitan Dental Care for an annual cleaning, that was done by dental hygienist Barbara. I can't be happier with the service that she provided! Barbara is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, respectful and gentle with her patients. I would definitely recommend Barbara as my favorite dental hygienist to friends and family.

UNNECESSARY WORK DONE, ADDED EXPENSE: As a new resident of the area, I recently had an appointment with Metropolitan Dental. During my appointment, they said that they saw minor bone loss and felt plague buildup under my gums, and strongly recommended a deep cleaning to prevent further damage. I was shocked to hear this given that my previous dentist office I saw 6 months ago and have been seeing annually for many years never mentioned either of those things before. (To provide more context, I've never had a single cavity, never required braces, and have always been told by dentists that I have extremely healthy teeth, gums, and oral hygiene.) I felt rather uneasy, but consented to receive a partial deep cleaning on half my mouth and had to schedule another appointment for the second half a week later. Immediately when I got home, I contacted my previous dentist office and explained what I had been told and what had happened. They were COMPLETELY shocked. They looked at their X-rays of my teeth from 6 months ago and said that there was nothing that warranted a deep cleaning and nothing to corroborate "bone loss" or "plaque buildup" under my gums. They also said that neither of those things could have occurred in the span of only 6 months and that the procedure was unnecessary. They requested to have Metropolitan send my X-rays and Periodontal chart to them to review. From the minute I arrived, they used "alarmist" or "extremist" words to scare me into getting unnecessary work/procedures done. I will not be returning to a place that does that. I'm thankful that I only had a partial deep cleaning done so that I did not lose more money or have my teeth endure more unnecessary, invasive work.

Nice front desk staff and the dentist explained preventative care well. My cleaning was very short (<10 min). I am used to 20-30 min cleanings so hence the 3 star review. Not sure if it's because of insurance differences but overall place and staff are nice.

I am very satisfied from my last visit at the Metropolitan Dental Care. Barbara was very gentle with my very sensitive gums while cleaning. She took care of my issues and explained me how important is the right way to clean by showing me how to floss my tooth the proper way to prevent the cavities. I highly recommend this place to my family and friends.

I always had a great experience with Metropolitan Dental and had given 5 before. I recently had an appointment for cleaning and the new person has a heavy hand. Also I have splashes of water on my face and chest, my gums were sore till the next day. Dr. Mattouk is always awesome.
