Not only was the experience horrible and I eventually walked out but now they are trying to rip me off and double charge my insurance company while also trying to get me to pay more than I had originally owed. The worst part is that the doctor said I walked out because I am a xenophobe. Little did she realize that it was because they had an unsanitary office with unprofessional staff. This is absolutely disgusting behavior by a "professional."

I was calling on behave of a patient, and over the phone I experienced the worst customer service I was very polite upon asking for a patients records to be transferred and got nothing but attitude from the aggressive young lady on the phone, then was hung up on, called back to ask to speak with the office manager or doctor and was put on hold then someone picked up said the doctor was not available and doesn't even have time to take lunch, I asked for the office manager and was told she was the office manager. I understand why the reviews are so bad, this should not happen to anyone.

I wish I had read the reviews of this place before going. I made an appointment because the location is convenient to where I work, but it was a huge mistake. The office is tiny and it appears that they have one of the hygienists working the desk. When I arrived there was no one there to even acknowledge my presence. The dentist was very rude and rough, digging and scraping at my mouth and I think she might have chipped one of my teeth. The very first thing she asked me about was braces. I had an eye tooth that is out of alignment and some misaligned teeth. I've had dentists tell me since the age of 12 that it's entirely a cosmetic issue so I haven't gotten braces because I don't care and I told her this and that, "The only person that notices that eye tooth is me" to which she replied emphatically, "Everyone notices!" repeating that about four or five times. She wouldn't drop the braces thing, even though I tried to politely insist that I was just there for a cleaning. Usually there is a flouride application done when I get cleanings and this was not done either. They took some X-rays but didn't even show them to me. It seemed like they were trying to rush out of the office so they did a quick and shoddy job. Don't come here, they are terrible.

I visited Metropolitan Dental Associates to get a deep clean and have some cavities filled. The staff was vary polite and comforting. The office was nice and clean. They did a great job!!! The dentist was gentle and made me feel welcomed. I would recommend Metropolitan Dental Associates to anyone with dental needs.

I've never written a review before --- but am doing so here bc this dentist was so terrible. I went in for a routine cleaning (and chose these guys bc they were close to my office) -- and walked out with a recommended $1000+ in procedures. They used LOTS of scare tactics that I really didn't like -- "you have the teeth of a 45 year old" (I'm in my 30s); "if you don't get this procedure, your teeth will shorten and you will have terrible wrinkles"; "if you don't do this now, you're going to need a root canal." I left pretty upset - but thankfully got a second opinion at the Washington Center for Dentistry (love them!!! Had been before - and will always go back now!). Basically, the Metropolitan Dental Associates were using scare tactics so I'd get (expensive) procedures I don't need. My teeth are fine and they were extremely unhelpful. Do not recommend!
