Dr. Takanari Miyamoto received his D.D.S. and M.B.A from Creighton University. In addition, Dr. Miyamoto obtained his M.S. from Boston University and a Ph.D. from Nihon University. Dr. Miyamoto serves as a tenured Professor of Periodontics at Creighton University. He is also an adjunctive faculty member at the College of Dentistry University of Nebraska.
Dr. Kim grew up in California and received a B.S. in Biochemistry at UCLA. She received her dental degree from Boston University and graduated with high honors. She completed her residency training in Orthodontics and received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry in the Department of Health Policy and Health Services Research at Boston University.
Dr. Melissa Lang is a Board-Certified Periodontist who graduated with the Highest Distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In 2007, she received a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.

The Orthodontic Treatment Center as well as Periodontal Reconstructive Surgical Center at Metro West Orthodontics Periodontics is a state-of-the-art facility with a ceiling mounted light and a separate sterilization area.
Our surgical room has a wide screen surgical monitor and 3 large windows with a great view for our patients to relax prior to the surgical procedures and meets the standards of a full operating room, having separate suction and air conditioning for proper sterility during sophisticated periodontal and dental implant procedures.
Furthermore, using the iTero 3-D digital imaging solution, Dr. Kim, Dr Miyamoto and our team can improve patient comfort through the Invisalign process, dental implant process, reducing the need for uncomfortable impressions and allowing creation of custom Invisalign tray, custom implant abutments and restorations, improving patient results.
Finally, the Orthodontic Treatment Center as well as Periodontal Reconstructive Surgical Center at Metro West Orthodontics Periodontics introduced the most sophisticated 3D digital technology, Sirona XG3D 3-D Imaging system
Dr. Kim and Dr Miyamoto and the team can reconstruct and understand the bone level to prepare for orthodontic movement prior to the treatment and map an entire course of dental implant treatment from surgical placement of dental implants and abutments to final restorations.

I had a great experience with my Invisalign treatment at Metro West!! Dr. Kim has a plethora of knowledge, and Cassie always has an upbeat and fun vibe when I see her. It was amazing to see how much my teeth and smile would benefit from Invisalign. I love my results and HIGHLY recommend choosing Metro West for Invisalign treatment!!

Incredibly professional and kind team at Metro West. I would trust Dr. Miyamoto with any complex perio dental procesure. He is gentle in his approach and explains everything he is doing. In addition, he took his time to contact me the night after oral surgery to follow-up and answer any questions. I highly recommend this talented and outstanding team for your dental and perio needs.

MetroWest has provided the best dental care I have ever had. They always listened, were very accommodating, and thoroughly explained each step along the way. Dr. Kim collaborated with my primary dental provider in assuring the optimal outcome for tooth reconstruction, from the initial assessment, braces, bonding and reconstruction. As an older adult, they made me feel part of the plan and understood the nuances I had being much later in life than would be normal for orthodontics. Highly recommended.

My 13 year old needed braces and our dentist told us he believed it was finally time. We went for a consultation and the staff put both of us at ease. They even told us that crooked teeth never hurt anyone so we could choose to leave them alone. It's been a year and we go once a month or so to get adjustments. My daughter doesn't enjoy the restrictions of braces but likes coming to her appointments. Thank you Metro West!

I have to say we have been going to Metro West for quite a few years and have never been happier. Our family has used them for: braces, Invisalign, cleaning and periodontal work and my husband for a couple of implants. They have the best bedside manners and everyone is personable. Even my 15 year old loves going. Could not ask for a better place to go.

Dr Lang & assistants (didn't get names!!!) are fantastic. Asked not to see the needles-DID NOT. Asked to brush my teeth first-BRUSH PROVIDED. My procedure(s) went well. Other than typical shock receiving shots, no major pain involved. I would HIGHLY recommend. I mean HIGHLY.

I highly recommend Metro West Orthodontics & Periodontics to anyone needing these services. The entire team has been beyond friendly. From my initial appointment everyone knew my name and it has remained that way for the past year and a half through my treatments. It is very evident that the doctors in the office are well educated and come with a range of experience. When I had a gum graft done they checked up on me and Dr. Lang even came to the office on her day off to care for me as I had an allergic reaction to the sutures. Dr. Kim has been very thorough in her treatment with me. I could not be happier with my experience at Metro West and the care and treatment I have received by their entire staff!
