Dr. Erickson was raised on a farm in Iowa. His interest in dentistry began in junior high when his Boy Scout Explorer group visited an orthodontic office. He attended the University of Iowa, where he received his B.S. in Chemistry. Dr. Erickson continued his studies at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry,graduating in 1987 in the top 10 percent of his class.
While attending dental school, Dr. Erickson worked at the Dowes Institute for Dental Research and presented a research project at the International Dental Research meeting in the Netherlands. During those years, he vacationed in the Beaver Lake area and grew to love the Northwest Arkansas area. He moved to Rogers after graduation and opened his dental practice in July of 1987.
Dr. Erickson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Dental Institute for Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry and has trained with the nation's top cosmetic dentists. He is a past president of the Beaver Lake Dental Study Club. Dr. Erickson continues his education, focusing on dental implants and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Erickson's community involvement includes the Rogers Early Risers Rotary Club. As a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Dr. Erickson has served on the church board and other ministries.
In his spare time, Dr. Erickson is an award-winning National Water Ski Competitor and Adventure Racing participant. He has worked on restoring several antique automobiles and currently enjoys his 1930 Model A.
Dr. Mercer is an esteemed member of the Doctor Mastery Program, a five-year program consisting of clinical training conducted by world-renowned clinicians building on foundational skills and advancing to mastery of the most complex dental care. Upon completion of the five-year program, Dr. Mercer will receive a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), held by only 7% of general dentists in the United States.
Dr. Mercer is actively involved in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, and Beaver Lake Study Club. He also enjoys volunteeringat the Samaritan House. He loves dentistry, and he thoroughly enjoys being able to help people maintain healthy smiles.
When he isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Mercer loves to spend his time outdoors. He enjoys fishing, spending time on the lake and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks! Dr. Mercer is also an active member of Trinity Grace Church.
Throughout dental school, Dr. Reed participated in a variety of different organizations, including the American Student Dental Association, Christian Medical and Dental Association, University of Tennessee Esthetics Club, and Remote Area Medical. Dr. Reed is currently an active member of the American Dental Association.
In Dr. Reed's free time, he loves playing soccer, long distance running, exploring the outdoors, and playing the guitar. He also has two half Aussie, half Border Collies that he loves running around with. His favorite thing to watch on television is the NBA.

Dr mercer is a good dentist but his assistants need improvement , I went in for a filling today and they numbed me too soon my appointment was at 11 , they had me numbed at 1105 but by the time Dr mercer saw me it was noon and most of the numbing had worn off or she didn't do it right cause I felt the drill but Dr mercer quickly gave me another shot and then waited a few minutes and finished up and I was out of there by 1230

My wife made an appointment here for a consultation for some cosmetic dental work. She requested some information on what the cost would be for a consultation since we would be paying out of pocket. The front desk had no idea on the cost of a consultation. They said the financial dept would call to discuss that. When the financial dept called the lady had no idea on the cost of an initial consultation just to discuss options for a smile correction. I understand that costs can vary and additional things like X-rays may be needed which could increase the cost. However when you are starting down the journey of potentially spending tens of thousand of dollars out of your own pocket and there is no pricing transparency, it doesn't inspire confidence. Needless to say the appt was promptly canceled and rescheduled at another location.

I've been going to Metro Park Dental Arts for a number of years now. I love my hygienist, Raleigh, she's friendly and does a great job. All of the staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Erickson is my favorite dentist yet. He's always nice, any work he's done has been real quality work and I trust him. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I went in as a new patient no insurance - coming in needing my wisdom teeth pulled. Dr. Reid came in seen me looked at my panoramic - answered all my questions and made time to pull two teeth today. They answered all my questions I didn't feel rushed - they helped ease my mind on the price it would cost and I was very impressed with what my total was. It could have been way worse. I can not wait to continue my dental needs here!!
