Dr. McGee had quite an interesting upbringing. His Grandfather and Father owned and operated a Native American trading post located in the northern region of Arizona called Keams Canyon. His first nine years were spent on that reservation, surrounded by Navajo and Hopi friends. Here he learned that friendship is not dependent on the color of your eyes or tone of your skin A lesson that sticks with him today as he meets and greets patients from all walks of life.
At nine, his family moved from Keams Canyon. Dr. McGee spent his formative years in the small town of Holbrook Arizona were he enjoyed high school sports, snow skiing, riding dirt bikes, hunting and fishing with friends.
After graduating high school, Dr. McGee ventured on a two year mission to North Carolina for his church, teaching and serving some of the most wonderful people on earth. Here he learned the difference between a dry heat and real heat which they call humidity!
Upon returning from North Carolina, Dr. McGee found what he describes as the best thing that ever happened to himhis wife! They were married and both attended Arizona State University where he graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduating from ASU he continued his formal dental training in Portland Oregon where he studied at Oregon Health Science University, graduating with honors and earning the Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree.
Today Dr. McGee, his wife, and children live in Mesa where he has established a beautiful successful practice that has been serving the east valley for more than a decade and a half. The Doctors belief that his patients deserve the very best, drives him to constantly improve his practice through continuing education, staff training, and lending an eager ear to any suggestions from patients. Dr. McGee takes great pride in what he does and absolutely loves the practice of dentistry and the long term friendships that develop as he cares for your family like his own.
Carla grew up in Arizona, moving here with her family as a small child. She received her Bachelor of Science from St. Frances University and attended Phoenix College for Dental Hygiene. She has over 30 years experience in the dental field. Carla is passionate about Dental Hygiene and truly cares about each one of her patients. Her warm and giving personality shines through in the treatment she provides to all of her patients. Carla is married with 2 wonderful daughters. She has a dog and you can catch her being taken for a walk most mornings. Not surprising, Carla is very active. She enjoys hiking, skiing and traveling with her family. Carla is also an avid Quad rider. Daring is a word often used to describe her.
Chris has worked in the dental field for 32 years. She is there to answer all of your questions regarding your treatment and is an expert working with Dental Insurance Companies. Chris also was a Dental Assistant for many of those years. Often you will see her taking an x-ray or impressions or helping Dr. McGee with patients. Dentistry is one of her passions and she is a self-professed Dental Nerd. Chris is married and has 2 beautiful children, 3 counting the furry one, a Chocolate Lab named Angus. Chris can often be found at home, baking and decorating cakes, reading, gardening or sewing. She loves to chat with patients and does her best to help them feel comfortable when visiting our office.

Love Dr McGee!! He's very caring and personable. The most Pain free dental treatment I've had in years!! I had a crown done and it was a breeze from start to finish!!! The entire staff is just the best!!! If you don't have a "home" dentist this is where you want to be!!!

Sometimes you find a good dentist. Sometimes you find a good front office. Rarely both. Dr. McGee is amazing and so is his entire staff. He is personable, kind, gentle, and great at what he does. No need to look any further. He's the best. :)

Chris in the office was very helpful in finding me a short notice opening. The hygenist was careful and attentive to my needs and comfort. Dr McGee hires and cultivates a professional and friendly staff that obviously enjoy their work. I couldn't give any higher praise.

Every time I visit Dr. McGee's practice I am warmly welcomed and put at ease. One of the better experiences around moving to Arizona was finding this team of great people who deliver excellent care. Dr. McGee was able to fit me in for an evening appointment to fix my chipped tooth. It didn't take long at all and you can't even tell it was chipped to begin with! Great doctor and great staff.

Dr McGee is the BEST!!! I have been going to Dr. McGee and Carla for almost 12 years. They and everyone that has ever worked in that office have always made it the best experience. Anytime I hear about someone looking for a dentist I am first person to chime in "Go see Dr. McGee!" I know whoever I send there is going to be a customer for life. Seriously , if you are looking for an excellent dentist that is honest, cares about his clients and you can trust he that he isn't always trying to sell unnecessary dental procedures look no further.

Probably the best dental experience I've ever had. Dr.Mcgee and his staff are awesome. He is a true master of his profession. I even told him that he was "quite an Artisan" after he finished working his magic on my #9 and #24 teeth! They look terrific. Very pleased. I will most definitely come back.

I am a huge baby but I lucked out finding this office. Dr. McGee is fantastic, he does a great job explaining everything and he is very gentle. I hate having my teeth worked on, Robin the hygienist was awesome. She was gentle and I could tell she cares for her patients. Everyone in the office show great hospitality and I will definitely be back again.

This was an excellent excellent experience. I had a bridge for a lost front tooth that happened 22 years ago. Dr. McGee is the best dentist I've ever been to. The staff is helpful and extremely friendly. The overall process was easy and I would recommend Mesquite Canyon to anyone.
